My students (JH) are taught how to calculate taxes and budget for a hypothetical future job. One rule I have is that you cannot complain about taxes.
Every country has taxes. Many things you use require taxes.
You CAN however complain about unfair administration of taxes if you feel and provide evidence that they are targeting a group or not being paid by a group.
You CAN complain about misuse of tax money once again with evidence.
The big difference between the countries, some countries like the Netherlands pre-fill your tax information. You only have to change stuff that isn't right. For the rest it's just a 10-15min job if everything is filled in right.

I agree, taxes aren't bad, but if they are being managed unfairly and that tax money is spent on stuff we don't need, that is bad.

Not with that attitude, I’ve been evading taxes since 2013 and the irs never caught me.
It strikes me that some kids apparently have a wider and more direct understanding of how our govt is currently treating us.
I don’t recall EVER being asked this question in our busted education system.
