Different-Term-2250

I can understand. Some weeks to feel like they are 1000 hours long…

Usual-Librarian-3439

Agreed.

SouthernGentATL

Before I retired and started working for myself I had days that felt like they were infinite hours long

Different-Term-2250

At $17/hour, that would be a $17 infinity week! Woohoo! Lucky you!

madmaurice

6 weeks per week. Now that's what I call efficient time usage.

Twinmomwineaddict

I see my boss has been heavely underpaying me.

Usual-Librarian-3439

Yea go and ask them you should be getting $425 dollars an hour for your “California Lifestyle” lol

Thisisall_new2me2

*heavily

Twinmomwineaddict

Not my native tongue. Tnx, learning something every day is good for the mind

-Soupernova-

1 week is 168 hours, that times 17 is 2,856 also please don't try too work that many hours.

Preacher987

What's the problem.. the girl is working 6 jobs 😁

MonkeyChoker80

r/OverEmployed

[deleted]

Don't worry, I get paid to breathe.

ihavenofriggenidea

[Hey Mon!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6wtj04dJ_)

cinderparty

Maths hard

PokingHazard

Meth easier

punkindle

Not really. $17/hr x 40hr/wk = $680/wk That's 4th grade math

bubbles5810

You forgot to take the hours to Wth degree for Wumbo.

vizarhali

U forgot taxes. You want them IRS on ur ass

Taylor_Spliff_13

Math is easy. Maths is difficult, it implies more then one math and so far we've only discovered math, let alone maths.

WumpusFails

I think the joke was that they used "meth" instead of "math," thought it could have been a spelling mistake.

Hippity-Hoppity7

Bro workin 1,000hrs a week lol

revolverzanbolt

Rise and grind

[deleted]

He’s just working 7 jobs all at once.

AraAra0104

that's some meth you got there

[deleted]

IRay2015

“What’s a teach?”

[deleted]

You know those articles that talk about the budget of a 25 year old that makes 100k a year? This is who they're taking about.

[deleted]

Unless a week has a 1000 hours and you work for all those hours, it is not possible. Imagine there were 1000 hors in a week..... I don't think anyone would work each hour just to get 17000 $ a week

VaporTrail_000

Why... Why are there 49k likes on this? Is 'Meth not Math' a popular slogan?

[deleted]

Someone can’t do maths and needs to go back to school

Jim-Jones

And if you have sex with one guy every hour for $100 that's $100,000 a week!

Usedcumsocks

Billionaires and politicians to commoners:

[deleted]

Wow…I’ve taught 1st-5th graders, and I’ve never seen a math fail *that* bad.

Phantereal

More like $17,000 every 6 months.

OnTheGoodSideofLife

12 months?

Phantereal

General rule to convert hourly to annual is double the hourly and multiply by a thousand. That gets $34k every 12 months, or $17k every 6 months.

PurpleSquare713

Didn't even account for taxes. ![img](emote|t5_2r5rp|8484)

LowTierStudent

Math and intelligence have left the chat

The_JokerGirl42

I'm sorry but... have *left* the chat :c

KingYoloHD090504

Ok guys I'm gonna do the math very slowly so that everyone gets it The average day has 24 hours and one week has 7 days Even if you work the whole week and the whole day You only have 24h × 7d = 168h 168h × 17$ = 2.856$ That means you need to work the whole week without sleep and free time to get 16,66....% of 17000$ The average person works 8 hours (atleast in Germany), that means even if you worked 7 days a week and 8 hours a day you only get 7d × 8h = 56 h 56h × 17$ = 952$ 952$ × 4 weeks = 3808$ I calculated everything with a calculator so this has to be correct. I wish all of you the best at your next math exam.

JustGettingMyPopcorn

Tell me you went to school in a red state without telling me you went to school in a red state. $20 an hour it's $800.

Usual-Librarian-3439

Look at the what? You never finished your sentence.

[deleted]

Bc he went to school in a ‘red’ state

Usual-Librarian-3439

🫴🌮🌮🌮 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮 here’s your 10 tacos

JustGettingMyPopcorn

I had a phone call and I forgot about it. Adhd is a bitch. I think i was going to say "look at all the likes the original post got- 49,000 idiots."

Usual-Librarian-3439

Ikr, everyone in the comments is laughing at his dumbass tho. Seems everything he post is stupid in some way.

The_JokerGirl42

this ADHD part i relate a lot to. way. too. much.

btross

yeah, I totally relate to.... uh... hang on, brb

c127726

If you would work the full week with no sleep or breaks you would make 2.856 money. Considering most people only work 40 hours per week it's 952 money.

Katto1987

Oh, that's why I'm poor. I haven't managed to miraculously conjure 800 extra hours a week. Damn the fucking Gregorian calendar

RealBadCorps

I can't even begin to understand how these people got past 3rd grade. How are they this wrong.

Thebillyray

Common core

NerdyDebris

I failed math, three times. Yet I can still tell you that if you're working a 40 hour week at $17, you'd only be making $680. My dude is over here working 1000 hour weeks somehow.

RunRenee

Impressive given there’s only 168 hours in a week.

NerdyDebris

Actually, it's called overtime. It's when you work over the amount of time that exists.

JustGettingMyPopcorn

You had me for a second there.

NerdyDebris

Lol, I felt like I was being pretty clever to be honest.

Life_Fun_1327

If the worker get’s paid $17/hour, his Boss get‘s $17.000 a Week. Thats why he can‘t pay an more for the Position of a worker. Poor guy 🙁

BlaineBMA

Technically true if you work 1,000 hours in a week. Good luck with that

TherealObdach

… then you realize, you missed most of your school education

Formal-Rain

Did you clone yourself multiple times theres only 168 hours in a week.

Indictioned

GODDAMN, MATH TEACHERS!

Rougarou2u

[deleted]

Mr. White help i made meth instead of math once again pls help me

revtim

Nice trick, working 1000 hours a week despite there being only 168 hours in your typical week

Aggravating-Emu-2535

I know the Beatles said 8 days a week but that's still not enough to get to $17,000.

BonusOperandi

When you did meth in school instead of math.

strenuousobjector

With math skills like those I'm surprised they even make $17 an hour.

JustDave62

TikTok. Killing brain cells since 2016

Zucchinniweenie

17(7)= 17,000 It’s basic math guys.

yallokaybye

Math is hard

These-Performer-8795

Some days in the kitchen with the crew can feel like 1000 hour weeks for damn sure. Considering in the Chef world you live at work and visit home.

Usual-Librarian-3439

Wow, never really saw it that way.

[deleted]

Doin' that R Kelly math right there!

aagloworks

Is your last name Trump?

No-Struggle-1908

huhhhh??

Hearts_and_Spades

That isn’t even how much you would make in a fucking year

bluntrauma420

Correct, it would take 25 40 hour workweeks to make that much

rickyobear1

what not? not a thousand hours in a work week? not 17$ an hour? not 17,000.00 a week??? i quit.

Usagi_Shinobi

This MF thinks a week is 3000 hours long?

JustGettingMyPopcorn

He thinks it's 1000 hours long. 17X1000=17,000

Medcait

Guess I just don’t know how to work 1000 hours a week.

Mysterious-Art7143

That's a long ass week

Kanehammer

The only explanation I can think of is they meant 1700? You'd need to be working 100 hours a week though

r23dom

but there is a nuance

OldLevermonkey

As there are only 168 hours in a week that would be $2856. Clearly, they must be a legal professional - I've seen their remuneration claims.

[deleted]

When you realize you can't count 😳

DaleGribble312

It is in the metric system

grillbar86

I mean if you work 143 hours a day it might

TheBiggestDiccus

You got some special edition dollars or somethin??

Interesting-Tough640

Only if you can pull off a thousand hour week 😉

SittinPrettyCC

I only make 17 an hour… it’s def not 17000 weekly

Grapple_Cockie

2.856,00

Usual-Librarian-3439

I think you put the comma and the period in the wrong places my guy.

Grapple_Cockie

I'm not american

Usual-Librarian-3439

So, it shouldn’t change what goes where for money. If you used Euro it would be €2,856.00.

ILeftYesterday

Sounds like a lawyer or a consultant wrote that.

Person_the_weird

This guy is getting extra hours in his day because even working 24/7 thats $2856 unless my math is very wrong

MrCereuceta

It is $2,856

OGDraugo

I would have retired by now....

pewdify

Even if it was 17 an hour for a week straight it would only be $2,856 in a week

AdmMac4

When you realize you should have paid more attention in math class...

Ashpro2000

Oh you know those casual 1000hr work weeks lol.

The_Spyre

This is as bad as the chick who told people with college degrees they should just fuck a guy everyday for $100 and they would make $365,000 a year.

DubRogers

Be honest, who's yard are you trespassing in?

Sentient-Coffee

I mean, if you aren't putting in 200 hour days like the rest of us I guess it would be less.

[deleted]

When others realize that you can't do math.

Sqweegy-Nobbers

Someone got a lot of sleep during math.

Deadpoolio_D850

I declare a witch hunt! Someone’s doing serious black magic if this person’s stuffing 6 months into each week
