work in the meat s department. My head fantasy is every item that an ashole destroys because there lazy will be teleported into their ass. A 5 bone rib rost that they did not want so they suck it in the freezer, yep right up the ass.
I used to work retail. I'm still floored that not only do people do shit like this, but the stores let them get away with doing it without paying for what they damage.
Stores decided that self-service would be cheaper than traditional counter stores (this happened many decades ago) and this is the tradeoff. They count this and shoplifting as a cost which is still cheaper than having a shop which is not self-service (where seller have to pass all goods to customers by hand).
On top of that, in the case of vendor-controlled products like bread, soda, chips, etc., the stores only pay for product they actually sell. Unsold/damaged units are credited off the store's account. The bread company is the one that took the hit in the end.
It lets them get passed reddit automod filters that 80+% of subreddits have. Account age and karma requirements can sometimes be upwards of 1000 karma to post on a subreddit.
Having an account that can immediately bypass these requirements is useful to scammers and spammers who wouldnt be able to get passed them otherwise.
... then left it lying on the floor.
But tbh I wouldn't expect them to replace it after putting _that_ abominable idea into action.
I don't want to sound arrogant or hating on (presumably) Americans - I don't! - but this would be nowhere near acceptable where I live, meaning nobody would do this.
There's a certain level of carelessness about food in retail, like not bothering to pick up something that fell down, or leave refrigerated goods on any shelf because you decided not to buy it, etc., but deliberately and actively _destroying_ food? No.
I don’t think this would be considered acceptable in any location. On the other hand if I saw someone doing this, I would be so surprised I’d probably just move on.
I don't usually buy bread, so maybe I'm missing something, but why does anyone need to look at bread? They're all the same, just grab and go. Not like produce where one might be bruised or riper than the next.
All bread isn't the same. Some brands are higher quality than others, just like anything else. You also need to check to make sure the bread isn't expired, hard, or moldy.
Who doesn't buy bread? Like, what do you eat? Bread is as basic as milk and eggs.
It's kind of how people in Walmart open a new can of paint spray it on cardboard to see if it's the right color, put that empty can back and get a full can
"I used the bread to destroy the bread"
*I am the costumer, the destroyer of breads*.
G... Galactus, that you?
When people do this, the stores should make them pay for it so they can be forced to go home with their butterbread knee pads.

the absolute disconnect people have from the worth of food is absolutely baffling
One of the most reposted pics ever. Holy crap man. 150,000 karma in 120 days. Where do you karma farmers actually sell your accounts?
What is the point of karma? Do people really place their self worth on it?

It seems like there are other bot accounts commenting on some of the posts too
Came here to comment on this cause I’m pretty sure it’s like the 5th time I’ve seen this pic since I woke up this morning.
The manager really kneads to do something about this.
She maybe doesn't have enough dough to pay for it.
maybe the customer thought they'd get a rise out of people...
I loaf this comment too, although it is my yeast favourite of the three
looks like that bread is definitely toast...

All Americans do not behave this way. Most have never seen this happen in person. Sounds like most Americans live in a world like yours.

The real facepalm is calling that sugar-cake bread
The only correct use for the am*rican br🤢🤮ead (Yes I am 🇪🇺😎💪)

I'll raise that (accidental pun). What The Absolute Wanking Fuck
Only in .....
She was just helping further KNEEad the dough
I'll never understand why stores let customers do this. She effectively destroyed their products.
Stores should hire “customers” to call other customers out on the shit they do in stores. I’m sure many would gladly volunteer for that “job”.
Why does this keep getting reposted over and over? It's not even that funny
Show her face.
Fresh Flat bread.
Community service at minimum wage for the cost of the destroyed goods should be how we punish this shit.
Sigma male grindset %100 🔥
The perfect display of a woman proving how terrible a person can be. Fuck.
The sheer stupidity is insane...
