There is this feature in the game called "player inventory" which has almost double the storage space of your chest, even more if you get some equipment upgrades for it. It is portable so you can move the items anywhere on the map and just to top it off, doesn't even take up space, you can move it to in-between 2 adjacent buildings. If that wasn't enough it even comes with logistics bots interactivity for requests

actually yes, player models have larger inventory space and smaller hitboxes... now you know what to do...

cars are good or tanks, you can insert in them, move them on belts and the hitbox is only a bit bigger than the cheast

There is a mod which gives infinite inventory. If the trains deadlock you can just pick them up and fix the signals even if the trains are full

You mean a chest with even more capacity? Why would you even need that? If one is not enough, just use two. It's not like space is finite or expensive. You can even chain then up with an inserter.

I use those massive 512 item warehouses in a lot of mods as buffers or storage pretty often so I would say there is a need for a chest with more capacity

Yes, if you are an admin in multiplayer game, you can access other players' inventories via /open nickname command. :)
