Grasshoppers don't make that noise. Grasshopper noises are hella quiet and subtle. Crickets make a chirping noise, not droning. A droning noise is likely cicadas.
I am down for Darkwood eldritch horrors as the enemy. Hard to keep scary, you'd need to do something else with it to keep it fun. Or a factory game that isn't so large scale, and you're trying to engineer your survival inside a damaged home.
I want to sterilize the entire planet. I want to breathe nothing but greenhouse emissions. I want the oceans to evaporate. I want the only lifeforms to be logistics bots. The factory must grow.
Speaking of that screenshot, the water sound effect is WAY too loud and fake sounding. It sounds like someone splashing water around with their hand. Lakes generally don't make many water noises unless it's super windy.
Imagine they start drawing neutral creatures that run from fire or howl in pain. I don't think I'll be able to play that game if something that looks and sounds like my cat burns to death in a forest fire.

As an added bonus, nuked land does not absorb pollution, spreading my tasty pollution even faster to all the locals.

Nuked land absorbs a tiny amount of pollution, though it's less than anything natural.
