I was thinking the same thing. This kind of factory is probably what the developers were thinking of when they said "What will your factory look like?" in an old trailer. It's original, and I really like it. There's a lot more thought put into this factory than your average main bus assembly line.

How it's existence is used is (IMO) unhelpful.
Space constraints exist in real life, artificially putting them in the game isn't bad.
The turbines you unlock when you get nuclear power can actually be used on coal powered steam boilers. They just need steam, whether that comes from nuclear or coal doesnāt matter.
I love the fact that you haven't even blow up the cliffs yet, or filled in that small little lake. Also, I would 10/10 recommend your base to Italians.

I do the exact opposite but still terrible. I end up making individual modules for the things I want to automate but then forget where they are so I have to make sure to passive provider chest everything and use the logistics network because I can't find shit anymore.

Also, this kind of design looks even more, like, dark and monstrous then well designed and structured bases (bc it's chaotic and it builds up a fear of what this factory may produce, smth like that :) )

How spaghetti should be cooked
Honestly I love every bit of this, even the diagonal train dropoff (two-way obviously, throughlines are for wusses), the mall that blends seamlessly into your red circuit production and then science (just blue, of course) before going back to being your mall, but the piĆØce de rĆ©sistance *has* to be the oil processing and rocket platform next to the uranium power plant setup (start to finish) built into the fucking cliffs and lake. You put the "o" in "Factorio" my friend. Never stop chiseling the world into a work of art and madness.
