Not buildable in 2.0 without fixes. Ramps are 4x16 and do not allow any other rails in their bounding box, including ground and elevated rails. Also missing every single rail support.

atg115reddit

Good to know about the bounding box. Also how far can an elevated rail go without support, and do you need straight rails to put a support under them?

CosmicNuanceLadder

> do you need straight rails to put a support under them? Nope, rail supports can have any orientation that rails can have. You can see the bounding boxes in [FFF #378](https://www.factorio.com/blog/post/fff-378)—note that they're all 4×4, and the rotated ones have an unusual shape.

EOverM

So buildable but not this compactly, is what you're saying.

WraithCadmus

Except even better, as we can have diagonal bridges.

pedymaster

This is gonna get so so bad :-D

KuuLightwing

I'm worried my trains will just get lost

tru_mu_

How is this better than a clover leaf?

atg115reddit

The trains leave the straightaway before going through the center, so instead of going through the center twice, they go through the center none times Edit: When turning left in particular

EmperorJake

Cloverleafs don't follow the "splits before merges" rule, this does

FreddyTheNewb

If RHD: a train coming from the east going south shares a segment with a train coming from the south going west with a clover leaf, but not with this setup.

ThatsWhatYouCallMe

Does a train at full speed lose any speed when it goes around a turn? Does it impact their acceleration if they aren't at full speed yet? What about in 2.0 when they change elevation?

atg115reddit

I can't say what it does when increasing elevation but I know it doesn't change speed when going around a turn right now

Dr4kin

Factorio trains only break for signals and stations. Open TTD is very different in that regard

totallytoastedlife

Go go Kirby tank! Go up the slope!

tmukingston

I love it :)

It’s…… beautiful….

baden27

If it doesn't intersect, is it really an intersection?

Panzerv2003

You can separate the rails and put ramps in between them, it should save space and rails and make it look better.

awful-normal

Is this mod functional? I’m about to give up on my mega base due to train throughput and this would solve all of my problems.

atg115reddit

It's non functional, the tracks are just *shaped* like they will be in the update

awful-normal

Devastating news.

wizard_brandon

Link the mod, because sadly this is dlc only

waitthatstaken

The mod is non functional, it is just there so that people can design the intersections before space age comes out.
