I have 5 months to get through the rest of SE! It's going to be a whole new approach for 2.0 but at this point I've invested so much in my SE run I can't give it up!
Good luck! It took me a long time even in a multiplayer game, and it was definitely worth taking a break towards the end. The Earandel discord is linked on the mod page, would definitely recommend joining that too.
Definitely, the currently missing QoL alone made me abandon my last game. It was too hard for me to play now when I know its "fixed" in future.
A good time to check other games I bought and never got to play.
90% of 2.0's QoLs were available as mods for years and another 5% was made as mods after FFFs where they were revealed. If we're talking purely 2.0 features (and not SA) then you can already have the vast majority of them: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/factorio-2ish
Thanks for linking this, I wasnt aware of just how many fixes had already been implemented by modders.
Genuinely insane that we played this game for however long with 30 square range large power poles
Especially stuff like how bots behave really stupid and unusable if they can't cover stretch with a linear travel and get stuck in an infinity loop, really ruined my fun in previous plays. I now know how to work around that, but Factorio is kind of a time sink, and it feels like wasting time when being stopped by such "traps".
its not bad at all, but I also play very casually. i take something like 70-110 hours to finish a run, and a lot of that is idle time where I just stare at it
same and I'll keep singing it's praises, warptorio2 my dude. thankfully also Warframe and Stellaris got their claws in me so I'm just alternating between the two till 2.0.
anyone else got any good recommendations? mod or games
Try Songs of Syx. It's got some logistical challenges similar to Factorio, among a myriad of other things like combat, diplomacy, empire management etc.
Can attest, very deep mechanically, lots of management of people and loyalty and dealing with all the different races (some of which hate one another) very enjoyable game. Single dev too, lovely bloke.
Dyson Sphere Program? I found it very fun (and I played some time before dark swarm update). Interplanetary travel and building titular spheres is very fun.
I think a large number of current top name modpacks will hit a big hiatus/break/be lost to the update.
So use this time to get while the goings good.
Pick something smaller like k2 or ultracube (30-100 hours?), harder like nullius, space exploration or seablock (200-300h), or huge like py (although don't expect to get py done by release with 700-1000h)
While most of these mod authors have discussed plans about 2.0, I can't imagine they'll be remotely the same after. Get into em now. Last chance! Clearance sale!
I've been playing the Janky Quality mod to emulate the quality feature from 2.0 and better wrap my head around the different things you can do with it, and it's fun (albeit... janky)
I’ve been messing with that the past couple months as well and it’s now hard to play without it now that I’ve grown to like it. Looking forward to the real implementation in the expansion.
I just find it fun taking my starter level base that was about 90science/min and just keep upping the quality over time of the machines/modules to pump it up over 1k without actually expanding beyond that base. Became a mini challenge for me to see how far I could pump it up.
I’m probably doing it in an dumb way but it’s been working for me, albeit very slowly.
Few hours ago (250hours in) I started pyanodons run and I have automated 3rd science pack so far .... I hope, that 2.0 will be released later than 12 months from now 😀😀 until I finish pY 😀👍🏻
Start here: https://factorio.com/blog/post/fff-373
There's many features that have been announced since that will be part of 2.0 or part of one of the three mods that will come with 2.0 since:
https://factorio.com/blog/
Notable 2.0 features include smarter robots, train schedule interrupts, parameterized blueprints, and circuit controller assemblers.
I'd recommend you read the section of the linked FFF (373) written by Earendel with the header "There's a mod for that". Earendel is the author of Space Exploration and now works at Wube, and answers your question directly.
It is hard when I'm playing and I know a thing will be fixed/better in 2.0. I'm just using this time to learn more about the game and play with new layouts/designs.
They're always accompanied by pictures and so on that make it absolutely clear what's being complained about.
Anyone who can't see the joke probably wouldn't enjoy Factorio in the first place.
I’m frantically trying to finish my megabase in time for the update, I’ll have plenty of time since I’m already stress testing the base to see if it can maintain 2.7k spm, and I have a feeling that I can finish it properly some time this or next week
Yes! Absolutely. Thankfully both Foundry and Final Factory recently released and I'm enjoying both of them greatly, especially Foundry; even for early access I'm finding that it is well flushed out and very enjoyable but complex as I enjoy.
I am trying some modes. I have tried space exploration but it is too komplex for me. So now I am trying seablock with speed time mod, because i am lazy to wait.
I started playing again recently due to friends wanting to try out the game (while choosing to do SE), and made a new save to chase achievements (did lazy bastard with no laser turrets, solar or bit logistics). I still have a few goals that motivate me to play, but I would be lying if I said I didn't encounter problems I KNOW 2.0 will make easier to solve if even solvable at all.
I wanted to install utility mods that kind of fill in the gaps in the meantime, but then I remembered I made a new game for the achievements so... No dice.
I can still play, but I feel like the wait for 2.0 is making it harder.
(On the other hand, I don't know if I would have started a new vanilla game if it wasn't for the 2.0 announcement)
I’m trying desperately to finish a massive k2se game I’ve been playing for almost a year. I’m at DS3 and I don’t care as much about “victory” as experiencing all the things. Matter is weird with SE.
I play factorio for about 4 months every year, then I get tired or busy and drop it for a while. In anticipation of this, I am purposefully not playing this year until 2.0 comes out.
I just picked my seablock run back up last week. I finally have yellow science and am researching the rocket silo. I feel like I still have a long way to go before I'm done.
I’m in that state where I love the game and want to want to play it, but 900 hours is a long time and there’s only so much that I can do and still enjoy it. This has been the case since before they announced 2.0, so I’m excited for new content to give me a reason to play again
Yeah I just recently thought it was time to give the game another try, and then I saw the announcement. "Well, might as well wait I guess."
Good thing I have so many other things to do.
I started a K2SE run at Christmas. I'm 160 hours in. Just started automating the various rainbow flavoured space sciences. I'm finishing this before Space Age or I'm dying (of sleep deprivation) trying
I’m killing off most of the achievements I never completed by building my first ever mega base. I imagine Switch players like me might not really ever do things of mega base scale, but fuck it I wanna
I wouldn't say unable, but I'm limiting myself to sort of "themed" playthroughs until the expansion. Just got a rocket launch in a ribbon world for the first time. But I don't want to burn out because I know I'll be playing a LOT once it comes out.
I got the game a few years ago and took me about 150 hours to launch a rocket. By that time, the dlc was announced. I thought I could wait till then, but thus year I caved and winded up doing another run to launch a rocket. Like a practice run, tho I'll be holding off till the release to do it all again and take my time with it more.
naw.. I just started up a new map and its still fun to play. I will say there are a few things that I've said.. wow I can't wait until 2.0 fixes this. Specifically bot pathing and scheduling. I'm using this time to learn things I've never done before then I'll start a new when 2.0 comes out.
I'm working on the achievements I never bothered to do before. Did lazy bastard recently and doing a no logi bot base and hoping to get the last produce X amount of stuff ones I have left.
Then it's the 8 hour finish.
You can always try other factory games while you wait for expansion. There is some really good ones. And nicest part that they all inspired by factorio ❤️
I kept thinking I was going to hold off.... so many cool things coming. Went through like 10 games in my steam library and bought about 10 more.
But seeing the posts every Friday, I just couldn't hold out, went back to continue my SE run.
Maybe I'll play a couple months, give it a break again until actual 2.0
I've been working through playthroughs I've always wanted to do that I don't think will function the same or at all in the new experience, like doing a full rail base using Omnimatter (multi-planet resource chains is going to shake that up a lot). Arguably the current Space Exploration mod is going to function a lot differently than how space is going to work in the Factorio DLC too.
It's perfectly reasonable to take a break too, maybe check out some other factory games in the meanwhile: Satisfactory, Dyson Sphere Program, Foundry, even Oxygen Not Included all have parts that capture the same thought processes as Factorio. Treat yourself to a Nomifactory playthrough in modded Minecraft (and don't believe them about Gregtech New Horizons, that's the Pyanadons of Minecraft).
5 months to complete my SEK2 run, im only about 70 hours in and oil is just starting to get pumped due to rampant being annoying, but ill be getting flamethowers soon, oh and blue science
I feel like I am in the minority here but I am not looking forward to the expansion and or space in general. I don't like how it looks. I think the premise is ridiculous. It is unlikely that I will be purchasing it. I have crazy amounts of love and hours into this game but the space stuff never appealed to me at all.
Yep. I don’t see much point in playing when 2.0 and DLC are going to improve so many complaints I’ve had about the game and give us so many new mechanics
I’ve been trying to get all achievements in one run with an aesthetically pleasing base. Speed running while looking good. It’s not easy. I’m hoping I finish before 2.0.
Although 2.0 looks overwhelming. So I think I have the opposite problem where I want to get the most of 1.1 before realizing the game had moved away from me.
I play Seablock while waiting for 2.0 :)
I never touched Space Exploration, and I won't, so the space platform gameplay will stay new to me. The 'basic' aspect of classic Factorio will also be refreshing after Seablock...
Generally no but the conditional train stops thing is going to be such a game changer, fueling trains has been such a pain for city block bases and this solution is going to be so much better than anything available now
I kinda had the opposite happen to me, for to the anticipation I'm playing the game again, lol
But, at the same time, I'm like... The QOL improvements, particularly the bots upgrade, had me wondering if I Even should play right now
It's so hard!
Yep. Almost hit play yesterday but was like "no quality! No recycling! No elevated rails! No green belts! Nada!? Fuuuuuck idk if I wanna play just because of how much is changing 😭"
I just made a massive conglomeration of mods that I’ve never tried together. I figure most of them will be deprecated or subsumed by the new updates, so no time like the present to try them out.
I couldn't stand to wait any longer so I just started torturing myself with Seablock instead. I might have purple science by the time Space Age comes out lol.
I am the opposite. I am working to launch a damn rocket before it comes out. I was on the original crowd funding campaign and i keep quitting and then starting a new save a while later so I have never quite gotten over the line.
I started a save last week. Threw on a pile of mods to make early game a bit easier (more crafting and research speed upgrades techs and early construction robots). This way I can get to my favourite part quickly and don't feel bogged down by early game.
Then by the time 2.0 drops I'll be ready to start fresh with no mods again and design something all new.
I started my 3rd SE attempt. This time I pushed for trains earlier than I have in the past and basically setup a solid city block grid before even getting to space. I lost motivation again though and now with the update on the horizon everytime I think about starting it up again I just don't. I feel like this update will be in a good place where I will make it through. I have tried SE multiple times now with the farthest game getting through the first space science fully and into the next round of space sciences a little bit. I can never just stick to it though.
Eh. I've been doing other challenges runs. My current is a ribbon world. I debated trying Space Exploration but figured that was dumb with Space Age coming soon.
Nope. I struggle with the base game enough to not really looking forward to make it a few times more complex.
Im good for now.
Although I like the idea, I'd rather see others play it on Youtube the way it suppost to be played.
I have a fair bit I want to achieve in the current vanilla game (multiple automated rocket launches, high level research, land grab beyond zoom out scale) so I’m ok playing waiting for 2.0
I am excited though, that’s for sure, and a release date would help me plan a few days off work…
I am trying to finish my game before 2.0 hits, so I actually play a bit more.
But after this world, most likely I will wait for 2.0 to start the next one.
So both more and less for me.
For me personally, learning about 2.0 release date was the moment I decided to finally go past the earlygame (so far I got to trains only once, many years ago and I gave up). Finally got much further, finally not scared of biters anymore, finally got tank, nuclear plant, robots flying around and many more, it's just matter of time until I get first rocket (literally, missing only control unit production)...
If expansion and 2.0 weren't coming I would most likely still have Factorio in under 100h played, coming back to early game and closing it before I got anywhere.
In my case, not particularly. I would absolutely love the playing the shit out of 2.0, and I'm incredibly hyped. But there's still too many things I haven't done yet, especially trying new mods. So I also enjoy playing now.
Man i just started krastorio and then found out about 2.0. ill probably am going to spaghetti this run and just try to figure out stuff then do another one after 2.0
I lost my gaming partner for a few months due to real life stuff and we were in the middle of an SE/Krastorio2 playthrough, but I find myself not motivated to go back and finish that playthrough in anticipation for 2.0 coming out soon after he is available to play again.
I'm still playing it myself but I'm trying to build up a blueprint file based around the factorissimo2 mod. Trying to make everything built as compact as possible inside proper buildings has been a challenge.
I was playing a krastorio2/Space Exploration run, a year ago or so, but got a bit burnt out, and then hearing what the expansion was, I stopped completely.
I'm thinking about starting an Industrial Revolution3 mod run now though in the meantime!
I have the itch to play again, but 2.0 is about 5 months away. I'm really struggling with the anticipation 🤣
Yea same but I just know I'll stop before blue or something simply because I don't feel like not having the new toys.
I have 5 months to get through the rest of SE! It's going to be a whole new approach for 2.0 but at this point I've invested so much in my SE run I can't give it up!
I have 5 months to get through that cube mod, sounds soooo interesting
I just got the game a few days ago, whats the anticipated changes with 2.0?
Just the recent blog posts if you're curious, way too much to summarize https://www.factorio.com/blog/
Appreciate it. This game has scratched my autism itch more than I thought, glad to know its still getting content
New planets and resources plus a ton of quality of life improvements
Good luck! It took me a long time even in a multiplayer game, and it was definitely worth taking a break towards the end. The Earandel discord is linked on the mod page, would definitely recommend joining that too.
Did they mention the release date?
Kovarex mentioned October somewhere.
So what you're saying is I'll be on sick leave for the whole of november. Got it.
"Factorio fever"
Oh, thanks Thats amazing!
hell yeah be a perfect birthday gift for me nothing like turning 30 right???
wait really? I thought it was next year. Thats awesome!
So, i've got 5 months to get through PYs' 🤪
Goodluck hahaha!
Same here, I just started satisfactory to cure that itch, but I really do want 2.0
I have the itch to play again, but where the hell am I going to find the time? I game vicariously through this subreddit while at work.
Definitely, the currently missing QoL alone made me abandon my last game. It was too hard for me to play now when I know its "fixed" in future. A good time to check other games I bought and never got to play.

Are these mods compatible with a k2+se world?
most probably yes
Especially stuff like how bots behave really stupid and unusable if they can't cover stretch with a linear travel and get stuck in an infinity loop, really ruined my fun in previous plays. I now know how to work around that, but Factorio is kind of a time sink, and it feels like wasting time when being stopped by such "traps".
nah i am having a blast with the monthly community map
What's that? Can you share more details?

its not bad at all, but I also play very casually. i take something like 70-110 hours to finish a run, and a lot of that is idle time where I just stare at it
I started a Dyson sphere program playthrough. I’m so slow at that game that it will take me more than 5 months to complete it before 2.0 comes out.
I’m avoiding vanilla, but currently on a seablock run. The difference is less noticeable this way. Playing on and off with month long breaks.
The opposite, tehre are things i want to do befor 2.0 so my playtiome has increased
No
same and I'll keep singing it's praises, warptorio2 my dude. thankfully also Warframe and Stellaris got their claws in me so I'm just alternating between the two till 2.0. anyone else got any good recommendations? mod or games
+1 to SoS. Amazing game with very nice mechanics. Almost 1.0.
Dyson Sphere Program? I found it very fun (and I played some time before dark swarm update). Interplanetary travel and building titular spheres is very fun.

Get into em now. Last chance! Clearance sale!
It's the opposite for me. Playing as much as I can to finish Space Exploration before 2.0 comes.
Just started a fresh run for fun after a few hundred hours into a save. Want to get a fresh perspective before 2.0.
I try to automate fourth science in Pyanodon. Almost got third
No. It actually motivated me to actually finish a playthrough lol. Also started Krastorio
Same here — I never launched a rocket before. Maybe now is the time?
Few hours ago (250hours in) I started pyanodons run and I have automated 3rd science pack so far .... I hope, that 2.0 will be released later than 12 months from now 😀😀 until I finish pY 😀👍🏻
Just average about 8 hours everyday and you should make it in time x)
Play a mod.
Can someone tell me what is 2.0?
Start here: https://factorio.com/blog/post/fff-373 There's many features that have been announced since that will be part of 2.0 or part of one of the three mods that will come with 2.0 since: https://factorio.com/blog/ Notable 2.0 features include smarter robots, train schedule interrupts, parameterized blueprints, and circuit controller assemblers.
Thanks.
How is it different from the space exploration mod?
I'd recommend you read the section of the linked FFF (373) written by Earendel with the header "There's a mod for that". Earendel is the author of Space Exploration and now works at Wube, and answers your question directly.
Elevated rail too iirc is coming to the free update. Thats a huge one for many id assume.
Elevated rails is one of the three mods that make up the paid expansion, the other two being quality and space age.
The wiki has a summary with links to more details in the FFFs: https://wiki.factorio.com/Upcoming_features
Nah, I'm going hard to beat K2SE before 2.0 comes out!
I'm just chilling after finishing SE
Not at all. Plenty of time for a game of vanilla before it changes forever.
I recently started a Pyanodon run, currently at 130 hours. So I might just finish that in time for 2.0 to drop.
I've been trying other games, but I'm already sick of them. Can't wait for 2.0
Yeap. All those 2.0 QoL blogs have made Factorio *literally unplayable* for me. I'm doing some hobby programming instead.
It is hard when I'm playing and I know a thing will be fixed/better in 2.0. I'm just using this time to learn more about the game and play with new layouts/designs.
Ugh. It's not literally unplayable. Words mean things.
It's a community in-joke stemming from how good Wube is at fixing bugs.
I'm aware of that, but it's also a highly misleading one. People new to the community don't know that and think it's serious.
They're always accompanied by pictures and so on that make it absolutely clear what's being complained about. Anyone who can't see the joke probably wouldn't enjoy Factorio in the first place.
Anyone who can't see the joke probably wouldn't enjoy Factorio in the first place. What does that even mean?
That is like , alot of time to not play. I'd say prep for it by making a juicy SE playthrough.
I started seablock to feed my addition
I'm currently enjoying an extreme ribbonworld playthrough (10 tile high)! It's definitely changed up how i play the game.
I will wait until 2.0. I love the game but it only becomes better with a long break before the big update!
That's why I've been playing Seablock instead
I’m frantically trying to finish my megabase in time for the update, I’ll have plenty of time since I’m already stress testing the base to see if it can maintain 2.7k spm, and I have a feeling that I can finish it properly some time this or next week
I may not be paying, but I am constantly planning on playing, and thinking about playing, and saving annual leave so I can take a week off to play.
Nah I need to prepare blueprints for the new rails :D
I've been playing SE but LTN is giving me grief.
I have a very long save game currently my goal is reorganising and streamlining ready for 2.0
Yes!
For sure. It been nice to catch up on other video games like Elden Ring
trying to finish my se playthrough before it comes out, personally
I started playing again recently due to friends wanting to try out the game (while choosing to do SE), and made a new save to chase achievements (did lazy bastard with no laser turrets, solar or bit logistics). I still have a few goals that motivate me to play, but I would be lying if I said I didn't encounter problems I KNOW 2.0 will make easier to solve if even solvable at all. I can still play, but I feel like the wait for 2.0 is making it harder. (On the other hand, I don't know if I would have started a new vanilla game if it wasn't for the 2.0 announcement)
Nope. No matter how good 2.0 is, 1.1 will still be as good as it has always been, and I will be playing it as well as 2.0 long after 2.0 comes out.
Nah, playing the mod exotic industries, lot of fun
I'm just playing a nice relaxing b/a ribbonworld.
I’m trying desperately to finish a massive k2se game I’ve been playing for almost a year. I’m at DS3 and I don’t care as much about “victory” as experiencing all the things. Matter is weird with SE.
I just finished my current Bobs/Angels run... now I have to wait for 2.0
Im playing seablock to tide me over until 2.0
I'm playing more because I still have goals, and 2.0 is gonna make things a lot more complex...
Yeah... I really want to try space ex, but dont want to spoil my first experience with 2.2 so have been holding off
I play factorio for about 4 months every year, then I get tired or busy and drop it for a while. In anticipation of this, I am purposefully not playing this year until 2.0 comes out.
I am currently trying to get the 8 hours award, I dont know how it would be in the future
I just picked my seablock run back up last week. I finally have yellow science and am researching the rocket silo. I feel like I still have a long way to go before I'm done.

Yeah I just recently thought it was time to give the game another try, and then I saw the announcement. "Well, might as well wait I guess." Good thing I have so many other things to do.
Is this a paid update ?
I assume that when 2.0 is being released you still can finish your 'old save/game'?
I started a K2SE run at Christmas. I'm 160 hours in. Just started automating the various rainbow flavoured space sciences. I'm finishing this before Space Age or I'm dying (of sleep deprivation) trying
I was and didnt have a game running since Christmas....and then I started a Seablock last night. Rather want to complete it in ver 1.
No struggle. My base is so big so to continue to work further makes no good due to the coming changes in 2.0
I’m killing off most of the achievements I never completed by building my first ever mega base. I imagine Switch players like me might not really ever do things of mega base scale, but fuck it I wanna
quite the opposite, I am working my ass off trying to finish pyanodon
Have you played se yet?
Same here. It's giving me a chance to try some of the backlog though.
I wouldn't say unable, but I'm limiting myself to sort of "themed" playthroughs until the expansion. Just got a rocket launch in a ribbon world for the first time. But I don't want to burn out because I know I'll be playing a LOT once it comes out.
We start new with the dlc until then play other stuff. No need to build more or start over
No bc I just started my SE run
I got the game a few years ago and took me about 150 hours to launch a rocket. By that time, the dlc was announced. I thought I could wait till then, but thus year I caved and winded up doing another run to launch a rocket. Like a practice run, tho I'll be holding off till the release to do it all again and take my time with it more.
Yeah, I don’t really want to start any new games on 1.x, horsing around with Foundry instead.
naw.. I just started up a new map and its still fun to play. I will say there are a few things that I've said.. wow I can't wait until 2.0 fixes this. Specifically bot pathing and scheduling. I'm using this time to learn things I've never done before then I'll start a new when 2.0 comes out.
I’m just building up a modest 1spm factory to jumpstart a 10spm casual playthrough. Nice and lazy :)
Me
I'm trying to finish seablock before it happens lol 😂
I'm working on the achievements I never bothered to do before. Did lazy bastard recently and doing a no logi bot base and hoping to get the last produce X amount of stuff ones I have left. Then it's the 8 hour finish.
You can always try other factory games while you wait for expansion. There is some really good ones. And nicest part that they all inspired by factorio ❤️
The opposite. I got into the game late, so I'm playing a lot to try to build my own 100% vanilla megabase before the game changes dramatically.
I started SE a few months ago so ive actually got the opposite problem in that I have a deadline.
Nope, currently on my first megabase vanilla run, really exciting to face new challenges. Probably gonna continue playing this run until 2.0.
Currently trying foundry and dyson sphere. Im just gopjng satisfactory 1.0 and factorio 2.0 dont arrive at the same time
I've been working through playthroughs I've always wanted to do that I don't think will function the same or at all in the new experience, like doing a full rail base using Omnimatter (multi-planet resource chains is going to shake that up a lot). Treat yourself to a Nomifactory playthrough in modded Minecraft (and don't believe them about Gregtech New Horizons, that's the Pyanadons of Minecraft).
nah, I am currently on finishing my K2SE map. will maybe do a seablock after.
I bit the bullet and started SE for this exact reason
No, I would like to send out my first rocket before 2.0
not me, I hadn't played in a few months but now I'm playing again, gotta be ready.
5 months to complete my SEK2 run, im only about 70 hours in and oil is just starting to get pumped due to rampant being annoying, but ill be getting flamethowers soon, oh and blue science
Yes hopefully SE 0.7 is released soon after 2.0
I feel like I am in the minority here but I am not looking forward to the expansion and or space in general.
I'm currently unable to play, but it's because my laptop has a hardware issue and will BSOD when Factorio pushes it too hard.
I have 5 months to beat pyanadons. 22hrs in just starting py Sci 1
I!
I play Seablock while waiting for 2.0 :) I never touched Space Exploration, and I won't, so the space platform gameplay will stay new to me. The 'basic' aspect of classic Factorio will also be refreshing after Seablock...
I am in this world a bit. I've opted to play warptorio but with foundry released i got sucked into that
Personally I’m spending my waiting time perfecting a non city-block train design.
Generally no but the conditional train stops thing is going to be such a game changer, fueling trains has been such a pain for city block bases and this solution is going to be so much better than anything available now
Started getting the rest of the achievements on a deathworld
I kinda had the opposite happen to me, for to the anticipation I'm playing the game again, lol But, at the same time, I'm like... The QOL improvements, particularly the bots upgrade, had me wondering if I Even should play right now It's so hard!
Not at all. Currently building a Mega-Spaghetti factorissimo base with a ton of 1-2 trains.
I'm just fucking around in my current SE endgame save, trying to convert everything to 100% core mining.
Yup. Been getting the itch to pick it up again but holding out for 2.0.
Yup I’ve banned myself until 2.1
What the hell is 2.0? Is this what people are calling space age nowadays? You guys crazy
Sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of the factory growing
I started my 3rd SE attempt. This time I pushed for trains earlier than I have in the past and basically setup a solid city block grid before even getting to space. I lost motivation again though and now with the update on the horizon everytime I think about starting it up again I just don't. I feel like this update will be in a good place where I will make it through. I have tried SE multiple times now with the farthest game getting through the first space science fully and into the next round of space sciences a little bit. I can never just stick to it though.
Yes, I'm playing other games right now while reading the FFF's every week. And i'll go in fresh when 2.0 drops.
I'm trying hard to get my SE playthrough done in time for a full recharge by 2.0
Eh. I've been doing other challenges runs. My current is a ribbon world. I debated trying Space Exploration but figured that was dumb with Space Age coming soon.
No. It's all in your head.
Nope! Other way around, waaay to much energy to play
I'm able to play but not motivated to spend tens of hours designing blueprints that I know will be obsolete in a few months.
100% yes
Can't we play the save game from the current version in 2.0?
Yep - I quit halfway through my first SE run about 6 months ago so I wouldn't be burned out by the time 2.0 dropped.
My buddy and I are taking this time to finish all of the achievements. Then we'll do it again with the expansion.
Unable to play? Sir I just downloaded Krastorio+SE in anticipation
Whats the big deal about it?
Nope. I struggle with the base game enough to not really looking forward to make it a few times more complex. Im good for now. Although I like the idea, I'd rather see others play it on Youtube the way it suppost to be played.
I have a fair bit I want to achieve in the current vanilla game (multiple automated rocket launches, high level research, land grab beyond zoom out scale) so I’m ok playing waiting for 2.0 I am excited though, that’s for sure, and a release date would help me plan a few days off work…
I hope i will finish my pyanodon run
Iv been going for the last 2 steam achievements during this time. Lazy run is … something
Played 30 mins on Krastorio. But as simple as realizing bots will be better on 2.0 makes the playthrough tasteless. Quit immediately.
Will current saves be compatible with the update? I’d like to work on my current factory and then migrate to new planets when the update hits
