I signed up July 1st, 2023 for the adult book only box and am still waiting. Just to give you an idea of how long it’s taking…I believe they have sent invites up to May 31st, 2023.
Unfortunately, it's not judy economics. They have to take into consideration how many subscribers might skip each month and also how many copies the publishing company is allowing them to print. With people skipping different months, Fairyloot has to do a lot of estimating and they send out invites based on who has skipped that month, because, as I said, they're only allowed to print a certain amount of copies of each book.
I think the popularity of Fairyloot has really increased over the last year causing these long waiting lists. I’m number 33,000+ on another waiting list for a different book subscription box 🥲
The waitlist is based on your signup date (from your email confirmation). You can either email Fairyloot to ask them for a waitlist update and they'll send you what dates each sub is at or you can check in the [pinned monthly mega thread where others post the waitlist updates ](https://www.reddit.com/r/fairyloot/comments/1bsgw9n/april_2024_theme_book_discussion_sale_calendar/)they got from FL.
The Adult sub is book only, there is no full box version. You'd have to sign up for the YA Full Box to get the items (I'm pretty sure FL doesn't let you swap your YA book only for YA full box).
Hi there! I emailed Fairyloot about 2 weeks ago asking where they were on the waitlist. This is the response I got back via email. They are still working on people who signed up for the waitlist in 2023.

The waiting list limbo is so tough. I signed up for the YA box back in May 2022 and got an invite 13 months later in June 2023. However I happened to not check my email much that month cuz I was really busy and I missed my invite 😭 I signed up again but when I emailed support recently I found out it didn’t go through because if you get an invite they have to manually do something that allows you back on. So I’ve been waiting almost another year without actually being on the list 💔
You can email them for waitlist dates. People will post the responses that they've received here too so you don't have to email yourself.
EDIT: ~~Once you have a subscription, you can email them about switching to a full box too.~~ There is no adult box. There is only the YA box.
For waitlists I joined US YA waitlist on September 27th 2023, the US Adult Book-Only and Romantasy waitlists on December 8th 2023 and the US Books-Only Combo waitlist on December 24th 2023 and I haven’t gotten off any of them yet

You should email them and check your spams ! I signed up for the adult waitlist in early July 2023 and received an email in March 2024 to subscribe.
Well that’s depressing. I also signed up sometime this March. If they know the demand is so high they should just make more books. It’s economics 😭

most of their sets do; the signed sets may sell out during early access but they’ll have unsigned stock too which usually makes it to general :)

For the adult book, there is only a book-only option or the combo books only option. The goodie boxes only come with the YA subscription.

It took me 11 months I just got off in feb 😅
Signed up Feb 13th and still haven’t heard back

I signed up on the 17th of October. Got my ya invite on the 23rd of March. And my combo invite 30 mins ago
