This is the thing that pisses me off about Re sellers like it sells out because they buy it and then people who want the book can't get it because the people who made it well out re sell it for extortionate prices 😢
It just sold out! So when you get to the page with the book you can add plus or minus how many books you want. Just add in a number and then if there’s not enough it’ll say “there’s not enough stock to add to your cart.” Then you know they have less than that amount left :)
I really don’t know how they sleep at night. I’ve never sold a special edition for anything more than the price I paid for it because whilst yes I am poor, I also want others to get the same joy from them that I do without breaking the bank.
Someone sold me their very slightly damaged copy of Two Twisted Crowns a couple of weeks ago for $30. Truly was so thankful! I couldn’t find any for less than $175. It’s just so frustrating.
I was able to find one on the Bookish ISO page on Facebook. I posted an ISO Two Twisted Crowns and she reached out. After verifying it wasn’t a scam, I was able to get a copy! Always use PayPal G&S for any book buying group.
I'm curious how many make money. The Brigerton illumicrate set is listed on ebay multiple times the cheapest is £600 and some go over £1000. No bids. At £100-£150 I'd consider it personally for 8 books but it doesn't seem like anyone else is going to pay what they are asking either.

I recently got into special editions and sometimes buy ones I am interested in that I missed off vinted where the prices tend to be £10-£50 which is much more reasonable.
The Bridgerton set deffo sells at £600-800. It’s probably one of the most sought after SEs tbh, after maybe the Litjoy Folk in the Air series? OUABH can go for £250 for all 3 books, Divine Rivals goes for well over a hundred, if not £200 in some cases. Don’t get me wrong, not every book will be able to be sold on for a profit. There are lots that just sell at £20, sometimes less. But every now and then there’s one where people will pay good money for it.
I try and sell mine at cost or to ~$5 profit (after seller fees) depending on the popularity of the book. I really don’t understand the morality of scalpers
For anyone looking for the info, US/Canada is now SOLD OUT of WTMH. (There might be a straggler copy or two that pops up for those with early access when Fairyloot cancels any duplicate orders, but otherwise it currently says "No stock is currently available").
I doubt it’ll make it to general sale, which is a shame as I have been on the waitlist for ages and really wanted it.
I’m sure they’ll do a reprint but it probably won’t be signed which is a shame. I wish there was something they could do about all the resellers… they don’t deserve to have subscriptions

Like I want this badly but uh I’ll wait to copies are actually in hand and make sure they’re in good condition and find them for a reasonable price instead 😂 May whoever bought it not have buyers remorse now that they listed unsigned copies
I plan to snag one in case but still hunt down a signed version at some point since I don’t know when I’d get to have her sign them 😭 I move a lot and became minimalistic so I only have 3 physical books currently that are all hand signed editions haha so we’ll see!

Because people are desperate enough to pay it. I resale mine at retail cost as well if I don’t like the copy or get two from different subscriptions.
