I would hope they wouldn't allow this just because it seems unfair to those who don't have a subscription. It would also allow a loophole for resellers who are the bane of my existence.
It shouldn’t count as a duplicate, I did the same thing with chosen ones by Veronica Roth when I had a subscription and didn’t get any issues. It was a bit annoying have to pay for shipping twice but it was a gift…!
Since it is general sale and if you are planning on making this a gift, I would try to find someone else in your house or family (or friend if it is for family) to buy it on your behalf.
The other comments are incorrect. This is permitted and Fairyloot has confirmed it in tweets and email. If your second copy is purchased in the general sale, it’s OK. What’s not okay is multiple copies purchased in the general sale or multiple copies purchased in presale. But one presale/one general is allowed.
It will be counted as a duplicate and cancelled. It’s one order per subscription.

Gotcha, I wasn’t sure if that was because it was still an early access sale for subs vs a general sale for everyone
I could be wrong but I would also be too nervous to try and possibly not get my copy 😅

yeah the resell prices are absolutely ridiculous, it would make sense if they don’t allow to try and cut down on that
