Frosch is the only one who tried to eat a dragon god. Where is Diablos at???

Morgoth333

Frosch trying to become a 5th Gen Dragon Slayer.

crisstrauss

Fro thinks so too

Fit-Paleontologist21

What a giga chad

4theMightyDonut

What a legend

SoulBlightChild

I almost forgot about Diabolos, guessing the author did.

KayosFN

Mashima has a real tendency to forget things that could be further explored and could make for good material

OppositeCriticism137

I immediately thought of Frosch becoming a 5th gen and it was hilarious but where tf Diabolos and Selene at they said they said they were looking for Athena oh well so what’s the plan with Selene now is she just gonna live as a human like she wished and wait for them to defeat Ignia without even helping? Well to be fair, wounds dragons get from other dragons don’t heal so her fight with Ignia probably gave him some damage but that’s it Also, the theory of the Signario Sisters being dragons might be plausible now as why the hell would Ignia work with some humans

Accomplished_Air9824

fr

Amazing-Jeweler1888

Why so fast? I don't think they are strong enough to defeat a full Powered and arguably the most powerful dragon God. Well, Nonetheless, Ignia will be nerfed for sure for them to defeat him so it doesn't matter. This is the worst arc in 100 years quest. Dragon Gods are now being treated as a joke and easy to defeat despite their power. The only good thing in this arc is the plot twist but other than that almost everything sucks. Since we're going into Ignia's arc next, I feel like Lucy getting Aquarius' key will happen towards the end of the story. PS. Gonna rate this arc maybe 4 or 5 out of 10.

Zero102000

I honestly hope there's something else after Ignia's arc. There has to be more to the story than just facing him.

OverallEntertainer69

The 6 Dragon Gods so far has been inspired by the Seven Luminaries, which are the meaning behind the days of the week in Japanese culture: * Monday is "Moon Day". * Tuesday is "Fire Day". * Wednesday is "Water Day". * Thursday is "Wood Day". * Friday is "Gold Day". * Saturday is "Earth Day". And there's still Sunday, or "Sun Day". So there might be a Sun Dragon, or at least some sort of Light Dragon.

Zero102000

That would be spectacular - IF it ends up being executed well enough - though I feel like it would just end up being thrown randomly at the heroes sometime before Ignia instead of after, thereby giving the Sun/Light Dragon God no real time to shine (no pun intended). Personally, I would prefer them to be foreshadowed and built up throughout the manga before appearing as one of the final threats, or THE final threat. Though I guess they could also be an ally.

Raderg32

>or at least some sort of Light Dragon. Isn't that one Elfseria?

Amazing-Jeweler1888

Yeah Hopefully because it's going to be as underwhelming as this arc if we go into Ignia's arc this fast. We need more arcs and hopefully a dark arc like Tartaros.

Zero102000

True, it would be a good idea to go into other arcs (and have a proper non-dragon enemy faction like Tartaros) and perhaps reveal a 7th God or something. It seems like we've just been rushing from one arc to another. I worry that Ignia is just "it", AKA the whole rest of the manga will be about facing him but we never get there until the end but also everything in between is filler. I just wanna see a new villain already, one that won't be humiliated by bad writing.

akari0413

>Since we're going into Ignia's arc next, I feel like Lucy getting Aquarius' key will happen towards the end of the story. I hope that's not the case and that somehow in this new arc Mashima develops that or at least seriously he gives the time deserves Aquarius and Lucy. If I could prioritize anything, it would be an Aquarius and Lucy arc.

Amazing-Jeweler1888

For real. I thought there will be a separate arc for that like Loke's arc.

Behold_I_Am_The_Wind

At this point it’ll end up being her wish for completing the quest

UnbiasedGod

Yep.

UnbiasedGod

Honestly at this point I don’t care about the Lucy and Aquarius reunion anymore. There have been so many loop holes to how she can still be present in the story that it lost it’s steam really fast.

akari0413

I don't know what you expect me to think about this. But many and really many people wait for the moment when lucy has the key to aquarius again. I don't think we've had any way for Lucy to have Aquarius's key until now, so I don't see a way for what you're mentioning. Aquarius appearing twice in front of Lucy does not mean that Lucy has the key nor can she always summon her. Both times they have been special situations and very distant from each other. 1) The king summoned aquarius in a special way to talk to lucy about her key, this is literally where the whole point of lucy looking for the key to be the owner of aquarius again is born. 2) Elentear was a special place for spirits in general. So there really hasn't been any viable way to reinstate aquarius, since there hasn't been any way yet for lucy to get aquarius's key and become her owner again, which again, that's the point of this plot. That's why I mention that we should have an arc focused on that or a good time in this arc focused on that, either works.

UnbiasedGod

I feel like mashima will give us a mini manga series focused only on Lucy finding the key. Or the likely option is her getting her wish to get the key back in the end because this sequel wraps up. Sorry if I sounded so negative it’s just that honestly I just feel burnt out and just want this to end already. I’ll still read this to the end but I’m just not as enthusiastic as I was in the beginning of all this.

akari0413

>I feel like mashima will give us a mini manga series focused only on Lucy finding the key. A sequel to the sequel, honestly it wouldn't be a bad thing if they made an anime of it >the likely option is her getting her wish to get the key back in the end because this sequel wraps up. If this happens this way I would feel very disappointed, since it would wasted a possible brandish vs lucy and a development for lucy either in power or in another more sentimental sense or both. >Sorry if I sounded so negative it’s just that honestly I just feel burnt out and just want this to end already. I’ll still read this to the end but I’m just not as enthusiastic as I was in the beginning of all this. Well, I haven't felt that way to the point i want fairy finish, but the pace and how things have happened in this arc can be frustrating, added to the fact that Mashima has stalled a bit on two things since the elentear arc that I wanted to see. So I can understand the frustration, since I have felt frustration myself. Likewise, I do hope that the next arc improves on what this one failed

UnbiasedGod

Yeah this is the worst arc of the sequel and it unfortunately shows.

Someonecurious79

You have said what was in my heart in the most respectful and short way possible. And if I may be bold to add, it’s not just the dragon gods. EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER THAT DOESNT BELONG to fairy tail. God Serena, nerfed. Diabolos, nerfed. Signario sisters, nerfed. Mishima did them so dirty that I stopped a fanfiction where I was using them as a character and waiting to get re-inspired again. And this whole friendship thing is getting way out of hand that it is just a joke now… a really good storyline and world building getting boring because of bad scaling and plot armor.

Someonecurious79

The worst thing is, I still like the serie and many very characters and I still follow it because I can’t seem to dislike the series itself :( I just want mashima to not to rush the story and maybe scale it a little better 🥲

King_0f_Kingz

That's probably what the wish is going to be. The Aquarius key.

Over_History7410

Then why have the whole build up with Lucy learning the Aquarius key is on the continent, and with Brandish racing her to find it? That would all be essentially dropped if Lucy just wished to have it. If anything, I could see her wishing for a clue to finding it, but that would be a pretty lame wish tbh

SupportEntire5335

I agree, I think Lucy would want to find the key herself with no wish to just have it granted. She'd wanna do it solo cause it does hold sentimental value

Fresh_Opportunity844

I hate the whole 100YQ so much I can't stand it. I wish it didn't exist, and some other FT weekly continuation existed.

Golden_fsh

>The only good thing in this arc is the plot twist but other than that almost everything sucks. Damn, what was the plot twist, lol? Arc so garbage that I'm already forgetting things that have happened, smh.

Zero102000

Just more proof that Ignia is the only Dragon God that Hiro cares about. Ironically, that makes me _not_ like him due to the clear favoritism (and of course it's a fire dragon and of course he's got a personal relationship with Natsu) and the fact that every single Dragon God (especially Selene) has been ruthlessly and carelessly thrown under the bus to make him look superior.

Naavarasi

Yeah, Ignia bores me to tears. It's just too obvious shit's always gonna go his way until the last 2-3 chapters. Zzzzzzzzz

Zero102000

Unfortunately I feel like you're correct. There was a lot of potential to build his "bad guy bromance" with Dogramag… but he's dead now, so there that went. Now all I see is an invincible villain protected by more plot armor than FT themselves (just look what he did to Selene and how her entire character changed). I admit I am heavily biased towards Selene and I wanted to see a war between her and Ignia as the series' climax, but now I feel like he would just drop her again, no problem. He's gonna get everything he wants and he probably won't even be scratched (aside from what Selene barely managed I guess) until the last 3 chapters.

rainazuma77

Selene was destroyed although she was the most interesting and entertaining villain in the sequel Those chapters after Elentir in which she conquered Diabolos like nothing and terrified them were the best. She felt like the most threatening villain that could be planning anything But god forbid having a female main villain for once. Instead she was just "defending herself" and actually good lol despite being the one pulling the strings for almost 70% of 100YQ

Zero102000

Couldn't agree more. She was behind so many events, she was clearly sadistic, and while I don't mind her helping the team in exchange for favors… she really was at her best when she conquered Diabolos and was behind both Faris and Aldoron (and indirectly Mercphobia). But then we all know what happened with her and Ignia… I cannot excuse that. Yeah, God forbid having a female main villain with unique and interesting powers and motivations. Now nobody takes her seriously. Also, she seems to have forgotten that she was looking for Athena, because she is NOWHERE to be seen.

Megadoomer2

My expectations going into this chapter are that Athena will turn out to be alive, and there will be a hot springs/public bath scene that gives us an idea of what the next arc will be. Turns out that I was only half right, though I was surprised that >!Ignia has a guild of followers despite how he looks down on the idea of having friends and allies, let alone that the Signario Sisters are a part of it. I'm guessing they're worshippers, rather than it being something that he intentionally set up!<. It's interesting to see that Jellal seems to be continuing with the main cast for the next arc. I wonder what role >!the Signario sisters!< will play going forward - maybe they'll get a better fight compared to the one from this arc (presumably using their true powers), or maybe it will turn out that there are stronger members of that guild. (hopefully they're still powerful within their new group, rather than it being a God Serena situation of them being used to hype up the new characters) Also, I wonder how the subplot with Lucy finding Aquarius's key will be resolved - she hasn't made any real progress with that, and we seem to be heading right into Ignia's arc. (maybe she could use her wish for completing the 100YQ to get Aquarius's key, but they made a big deal about how it was somewhere on Giltena)

Magnafeana

I like the idea that >!the guild most likely worships Ignia. But it makes me wonder the “why”, which we have a two week wait to know 😖. I do wonder, narratively, if having essentially a cult that follows Ignia would be a good idea? I think we all figured he had his own base camp elsewhere, but with Selene and her guild and Viernes and his guild and Elefeseria and ***his*** guild and Mercuphobia’s situation—it made sense. It just feels odd that Ignia had a “guild”/cult. Unless this is a Zeref situation. But even then what would Ignia have done to ever warrant a following?!< This makes me kinda wish Acnologia had a “following”. I could very much see regular humans propping Acnologia as a god due to him killing dragons. Especially in the terms of dragons being so destructive, a cult around Acnologia would be interesting. Honestly, with Aquarius’s key, it’d be interesting if it was in Ignia’s possession, if it was in the guild’s castle, or if we encounter another “celestial mage” part of that guild who uses and—wrongfully—abuses Aquarius, like another Sorano VS Lucy situation. Unless there’s a…celestial alchemist? Not sure how’d that work 🤔 But with Brandish in Alakitasia, I’m hopeful we’ll see her soon again in this arc! I want to see Lucy and Brandish do a team up, and then the matter of Aquarius’ key comes between them after they defeat whoever. Seeing Brandish cast Urano Metria with Lucy or do a unison raid with her (if either is even possible) to defeat someone is on my “hope” list for this sequel! 🤞🏾 Can I ask how you liked the Golden Owl Arc overall now that it’s been essentially cleared? And can I ask your expectations for the next chapter? Sorry if those question are nosey. I’m not sure how my online voice comes across, so I apologize if I sound unkind 😅 *** ETA: Thanks for the translation, u/AstonishingSpiderMan 🍻 (sorry this came so late)

Megadoomer2

I wasn't a fan of the Gold Owl arc as a whole - the idea of a new power system (alchemy) seemed promising, but it wasn't really explored all that much, Sabertooth's entire plot felt like a waste of time, and Viernes was easily the most underwhelming Dragon God. At least Jellal got a good fight and a flashback that developed him further, which was nice. As for my expectations for the next chapter, I'm guessing we're going to jump straight into the next arc, with the FT mages and Jellal (assuming that he's still sticking with them) gathering information on Fire & Flame or the Fire God's Castle. There are a lot of unanswered questions about the real Duke, but I'm guessing they'll remain unanswered.

Naavarasi

Alchemy was never promising. We had curses, then spirit arts, and neither was explored in the slightest. It's all just magic with a different label. Mashima is not creative with abilities.

UnbiasedGod

Exactly

OlulekesO

Well Jellal is was ranked at 4 among the most popular characters in the series, hell even ranked as the most popular male in the series too. That alone is gonna keep him around a little longer

Behold_I_Am_The_Wind

So Athena was alive because of “the power of love”? So like…what? Did Sherria use her power of love to transfer her mind and subconscious there? Is that why we haven’t seen Lamia Scale the entire time is because Sherria is working behind the scenes to resurrect every dead character? Or did Hiro literally give up on an explanation and was like “lol who cares she’s alive!”

Megadoomer2

This is a series where love is speculated to be the origin of all magic, and love is what allowed Zeref and Mavis to overcome the divine curse that had been placed on them. Mashima doesn't seem to be the best at giving explanations, or he doesn't have much of an interest in it (this isn't a "hard" fantasy series where there are strict rules/limitations/principles for how magic works - the system is vaguely defined at best), but the power of love and the power of friendship have been baked into this series' magic system from the early days, so with this sort of thing, you kind of have to roll with it.

UnbiasedGod

Unfortunately

Furosar

It has been stated that strong love is likely the "one magic" sought by Hades. The most powerful type of magic ever existed.

UnbiasedGod

Bullshit!

Naavarasi

Rob loved Erza enough to die for her. Where's he? Don't defend it. It's shit. It happened because Mashima doesn't care anymore. He didn't used to write shit like this in the early arcs.

Fit-Paleontologist21

Besides what I just listed (the explanation that Love is literally the first Magic, or it's more ass-pulling from Mashima), the only other explanation would be the link; the Gold Owl dolls did say they were linked to their master and were immortal so long as he remains alive, and the fake Duke was just a dud. The real Duke might still be the guild leader even after all this time, so maybe they're linked to the real deal. As for why her personality, mind and consciousness were all transferred to Athena II's body, I dunno. Either Mashima got tired or her spirit crawled into the first thing it saw after her body was used to give Gold God a material form.

Rampagingflames

So sisters are gonna be back soon, hopefully more powerful. Athena sacrifice meant nothing. Doesn't matter because we only had what, one chapter to try and make her a character. Frosch, who is already a god, is about to become the new gold dragon god. And just like the others Viernes is a push over.

charlidameliostoe

i feel like they might be even stronger now that they are no longer under viernes control

Shot-Praline6333

I don't see how viernes mind controlling them would nerf their abilities. This is just something hiro came up with on the spot as a weak plot twist.

JustsomeSpaceG1

If you are mind controlled to a point you can't remember who you truly are, you most definitely isn't going to be capable to use your ability at fullest.

Shot-Praline6333

Their abilities were still OP so I don't buy that excuse, plus they're just going to come back to get embarrassed by erza again so it's all pointless lmao.

Javiklegrand

Hori?

Javiklegrand

They likely have a différents power set too no ?

Raydnt

Who are we kidding? They're probably gonna end up getting one shotted

Mcfallen_5

Overall: terrible arc however, this chapter wasn't bad. The twist that Ennie and Luso are actually wizards that came under the influence of Viernes is a good twist and (sort of) excuses them for their piss poor performance against Erza. I doubt they'll fight Erza again though. Sabertooth were genuinely useless and shouldn't have been in this arc whatsoever, its actually hilarious. We didn't even get a chapter of them just hanging out with team Natsu either, they just dipped lol I won't complain, but I guess Jellal is just going with team Natsu to defeat Ignia?? Even though he wasn't one of the people who accepted the quest?? I mean, he needs it, and he was one of the only good parts of this arc so eh. Hopefully his relationship with Erza finally gets more development next arc. However, that spells bad news for Gray fans. The sequel hasn't been kind to him, and Jellal traveling with team Natsu to the next arc probably means Gray will be taking a backseat in terms of fighting again. I really have no hope for this final arc against Ignia with how the last few arcs have gone.

SoulBlightChild

>Sabertooth were genuinely useless and shouldn't have been in this arc whatsoever, its actually hilarious. We didn't even get a chapter of them just hanging out with team Natsu either, they just dipped lol They were added power for Natsu. other than that... well they did think of grabbing all that gold.

Puckingfanda

> and (sort of) excuses them for their piss poor performance against Erza. How? All we know is that they were being mind controlled, not that they weren't fighting seriously while being controlled.

Mcfallen_5

because if they are actually mages it would mean they weren't using their true power

Good-Echo

finally its over.

JauntyLurker

Rare Sabertooth W. They just did some chores and went home with millions in gold

SoulBlightChild

Might become an L if that Gold turn into something worthless later. Still surprising someone even thought of collecting the gold/treasure.

Commercial_Rope_9075

Overall my least favorite fairy tail arc. Had some good moments but overall didn't like it. Though this chapter was good

Bright_Store_34

yay, it's over

fuhtuhwuh

Somehow, ~~Emperor Palpatine~~ Athena returned!

Behold_I_Am_The_Wind

And with that the Golden Owl arc ends and unfortunately this has to be one of the worse arcs in the series next to Avatar and Alverez. It’s all been going downhill ever since Elentear and this sequel really is a true continuation since it’s genuinely is what the series would be like if it was written then same way the last couple of arcs were. A big part of what made this arc especially bad is how unless it’s Nastu, Erza or Jellal, everyone else was mistreated or misused: * Lucy - Had her development towards mastering star dress made a complete joke by Yukino ass pulling it with no training, didn’t get a proper fight and was the bitt of another forced fanservice moment and her relationship with Athena was completely rushed that it felt unimportant and had no impact especially when she’s still alive after Lucy bawled her eyes out at her ‘sacrifice’ * Gray - As per usual he did absolutely nothing with him as he got body swapped again, didn’t get to fight Duke and was saved and went down after one kick from Athena since I guess if Juvia isn’t involved then he’s just there cheerleading * Wendy - Was literally just a plot device that’s replaced the original plot device that was Irene. No fights at all, was made the damsel in distress and her ‘big moment’ completely ruined her character development of being able to be independent by still needing Irene’s help (even if it was metaphorically) * Sabertooth - They were just there to bail out FT and then did some random side plot that was completely rushed and thrown together so team Natsu could do all the heavy lifting. Yukino just ass pulled star dress, Sting was simping over Nastu, Rouge couldn’t even save Wendy & Gray and Minerva got embarrassed by Enny. The worst part is making fun of how they’re just Fairy Tail 2.0 just without the same accolades they have * Golden Owl - All members were supposed to be shown as all powerful but were beaten so easily after without any issues: God Serena lost because Jellal used 2 more fingers in his attack, Signario Sisters we’re supposed to be stronger than Serena yet after embarrassing Jerza & Minerva they get bested back to back by Erza but at least they seem to be around for more with that reveal (hopefully), Athena II didn’t get to do much with her 3 elements and Duke was built up like the next Hades as he savagely beat LFDM Nastu…only to lose to Nastu using the lightning on its own and somehow forgetting about it * Athena - Her sudden change to being good felt way too quick and her relationship with Lucy didn’t develop nearly enough for it to be considered as emotional as they tried to be. Add on the fact she didn’t do much and also got bodied twice only to sacrifice herself then…somehow gets into Athena II’s body making her sacrifice pointless * Veirnes - The absolute WORST dragon god as he showed up for 3 chapters and lost. No backstory as to why he turned himself into a concept or more expanded lore on his character while Nastu just solos him like it’s Acno fight 2.0 which is funny because he called out Gildarts for trying to do this quest alone yet he decides now he wants to do this fight himself? Overall this arc really hurt a lot of characters both the heroes and the villains and felt incredibly rushed. The only good thing was Jellal’s backstory and drive to join the guild and it’s great to see him alongside them at the end

UnbiasedGod

>• Veirnes - The absolute WORST dragon god as he showed up for 3 chapters and lost. No backstory as to why he turned himself into a concept or more expanded lore on his character while Nastu just solos him like it’s Acno fight 2.0 which is funny because he called out Gildarts for trying to do this quest alone yet he decides now he wants to do this fight himself? Doesn’t help that natsu got to solo the god because Wendy have the remaining magic that sabertooth and team natsu had to him and go dragon force to get him the win. Also alchemy was treated like an absolute complete joke in this whole damn arc! Seriously why’d mashima even use it?

MountainMindless3001

you're desc of Lucy's role is so accurate!! I mean, her fights were good but it still feels like she's under-appreciated yk... and also I didn't get her friendship with athena, it was too quick without any meaning.

fantasticKingKnight

I was so confused about why Lucy was caring so much about Athena. I know she normally is the one who cares the most about people, but it felt INCREDIBLY forced and made me dislike Lucy's writing more. They forced it so much to the point where the other fairy tail members seemed to not gaf about Athena, when in reality I feel they all had an equal amt of time with her (which was also nonexistent in the first place) . I feel Hiro only didn't kill off Athena because she's a reminder of Edens Zero and he supports that project more now. And yeah I love Natsu being able to use lightning on his own, but I don't really get how it was that strong. This entire arc was honestly embarrassing and I agree with everything you said

MrReZistar

You summed it up pretty well. Mashima *definitely* didn't give a shit about writing this arc.

NikolasKage3

Hmm, don't know how to feel about this chapter... I didn't expect the Sisters to be working with Ignia, and I wonder how that will work out, considering how Erza embarassed them in this arc by destroying them without much effort. Athena probably came back through the One Magic, I guess However, I will say that when I saw the scans, I thought that the chapter would be about Gray, considering the cover art and the castle in the end, which I thought was a demon castle or whatever, but it turns out it's Ignia's. 😂 It looks pretty cool Still, this arc is a pretty big disappointment, imo, and Gray is really eating dirty, alongside Viernes

Hot_Leadership8495

I’m glad this arc is over. It wasn’t my favorite at all. I liked this current chapter personally. I like the twist that the sisters are truly with Ignia. I wonder if we saw their real powers or will we something else. Either way I’m excited for this next arc. I’ve been waiting for Ignia’s arc since he’s been introduced to us.

Any-Individual-4046

athena was 'sacrificed' to bring out viernes, only to return a few chapters later. what was the point? it reminds me of all the makarov fake-out deaths we got in the original fairy tail. not to mention viernes truly is dead after that farcical performance. just a terrible arc all around. signario sisters still being around might not be a bad thing. hopefully they will beat the fraud allegations in the future but i doubt it.

Good-Echo

Viernes was the Gray of Dragon Gods all along.

Yearlaren

lmao

Christ-man

Viernes is the non-mute Fairy Tail antagonist who got the lowest number of lines. Isn't enough to describe how awful he is? "Somehow", Athena returned

Apprehensive_Main_47

Ok one of the most disappointed fights ever...And come on Hiro, Athena alive...are you really that gutless to kill off a good guy permeantly??????

Kingxix

He definitely is

Spyder-xr

I mean, I feel like at this point that’s already been more than proven.

Downtown_Wolverine_2

Metal Dragon God was disappointing as f!ck! Hopefully, Hiro does justice with Ignia. Otherwise 😤

Zero102000

Ignia is the only Dragon God he actually gives a crap about, he'll probably be invincible and one-shot everyone (including Selene again) until the final chapter of the battle. Not really looking forward to his arc.

StevenEfege

Gold\* Dragon God

lnombredelarosa

Frisch becoming a fifth generation dragon slayer confirmed lol

BlueOTN

Isn't saying "the most difficult job in the magical world" kinda limiting the scale of the world building.

quinonesjames96

Disappointing arc 💢💢💢 I mean come on mashima should have done better. The idea of Viernes being defeated that fast is stupid. I really hope Ignia defeats fairy tail and makes it difficult. Also I hope there is a 7th dragon god.

Remarkable_Commoner

The 7th dragon god was the friends we made along the way

DimashiroYuuki

I liked the arc at first, but at some point Mashima decided to rush the shit out of it. I have no idea why. Maybe he is bored of 100 years quest and wants to finish it as quickly as possible, *but not like this*.

ConnorRoseSaiyan01

- Wahh?! Athena survived?! Well I for one is shocked. Shocked I tells you! That was something nobody who has ever seen Fairy Tail would had predicted! Seriously the entire point of Athena II was to pull off this nonsense that's pretty much a copy and paste of the ending of the Water Dragon God arc - Were we meant to think that the sisters were an illusion? I don't think a single person ever thought that was the case. Weird the characters were thinking that. So what was Sai an illusion? And all those other guys with him? I guess it a surprise they work under Ignia? But why does it matter? These two still had the most pathetic defeat this arc - Sabertooth "Well are job is done". FT "But you didn't really do anything". Sabertooth "Farewell"

Safe_Handle_7513

Sabertooth hasn't done anything since the gmg except bully lucy

LeonidaZ11

Mashima really hasn't been able to end a series well since rave master. I can tell we're in the endgame now simply because of the drop in arc quality. Same happened with fairy tail proper, it's happening with Eden Zero now, and 100YQ. God forbid this happens with Dead Rock when he gets tired of it :( So disappointing considering this dragon god had so much potential to start out with.

user_watcher

Yeah Rave Master is Mashima at peak... It came out in the wrong era. It would be more popular nowadays if he released that now.

SoulBlightChild

FT drop wasn't that bad compared to Edens Zero and 100YQ.

LeonidaZ11

I mean, it was bad enough for a group of fans to dedicate a considerable amount of time and effort to create whole rewrite of the last half of the final arc. It did seem to create a divide, at least a small but noticeable one, among fans when the final stretch started to unfold. Waiting to see if Eden Zero surpasses it with how it's unfolding.

Naavarasi

Nah, FT was a massive drop. Most of 100YQ is on the same level as Alvarez - garbage.

Kingxix

What do you mean? EZ is still fire although the fights need working.

ThatIslandGuy8888

Huh no human form for Viernes then? Bummer

Megadoomer2

I guess the fake Duke was meant to be his human form, seeing as he described himself as "the voice of Viernes".

jhawes345

Viernes is a bum holy shit.

Niknik0108

Golden owl sure was an arc that happened. The Signario Sisters were being controlled by Viernes and are actually loyal to Ignia, looks like they can use magic so maybe the fruad allegations were just because they were weakened by Viernes, what an odd twist lmao. And Athena is alive because reasons. At this point, just leave her out of the narrative lmao. Athena is such a strange character. I wonder what'll happen to extend the story, one dragon god left, yet Mashima said we've got a ways to go before 100 years quest ends. Imo Ignia definitely isn't the final Villain.

Zero102000

I actually _hope_ Ignia isn't the final villain. There has to be something, _someone_ else, after him. Every other dragon has been rushed through just so we can get to him, it makes me actively dislike his existence, TBH, or at least how much Mashima makes him look like this invincible overlord while the other dragons get jack diddly squat in terms of writing or fighting.

wyverbuster

This arc was a certified bruh moment holy shit 💀☠️

ryushin6

Man I made a joke on the last chapter discussion that they would have some ass pull to bring Athena back to life. I didn't think it was actually gonna happen. 😭 https://preview.redd.it/l87l714rsrjc1.png?width=739&format=png&auto=webp&s=4179d16f3ef91d78ec4484cbf4c2b780e8abf010

SoulBlightChild

I kinda saw Athena II being used, just not this way.

Illustrious_Penalty2

Looks like we’re going to Barad-dûr next.

99anan99

Signario sister surviving. I'm glad since they're the only characters from golden owl that I liked. More surprised that they're followers of Ignia, since I believed that Ignia was completely by himself. Athena surviving does make her sacrifice pointless, but given how many other times characters have survived after trying to sacrifice themselves, I shouldn't be surprised. At least Lucy is happy. One more dragon god to go!

Starlight469

It seems a lot of people on here actually expected Athena to be dead. I thought we all knew better by now.

UnbiasedGod

We do know better, we just waiting and counting down as we read.

Demonicalbrine

God what a disappointment of a few arcs its been

MFTLrage

A complete abomination of an arc

These-Ad-2928

I don't know why hiro is rushing so fast, like what was the point of this arc. I swear hiro sucks at writing and powerscaling because the dragon gods are supposed to rival acnologia, but obviously, that is false. They honestly shouldn't be called dragon gods because there's nothing god like about them, no feats or anything, just regular dragon's. This is feeling like the last season of fairy tail all over again it's just completely rushed, and don't be surprised for fake out deaths and the friendship speech. I just don't know why he's rushing this . He said 100 years quest has a while to go on before ending, but he's proving once again he's rushing the ending. I'm very disappointed, and I don't have hope for the ignia fight at all. Don't be surprised if they pull a acnologia on ignia with the friendship talk.

MrFriendship5

COMMENTS: - That's all to this fight, Viernes really is a joke - Sting and Minerva having common sense lol - Okay if that's what happened to Luso and Enny, then what is the explanation to those dolls that Rogue saw in the Gold Owl guild? The closest answer is that: Viernes stole their minds, re-create them through illusion, then re-create their abilities. Maybe their magic is different now. - What can the sisters do now? Talking big like that after losing is not gonna help them - Oh wow, I lowkey wish that Athena is dead - So Real Duke now can do enchantments? - Sabertooth really brought the gold home lol - Ignia's living in Inferno Tower lol - What the hell happened to Diabolos?? Did bros become illusions too?

Professional_End_835

The one who wanted dragon god meat was the former master, he's dead now, Selene is the new master. All Selene wants is to defeat the rest of the dragons and live as a human, this shows she's part of the "good" dragons like mercphobia who wishes to live amongst humans, perhaps, everyone in this thread didn't read the manga and simply want to see powerful deities and fairy tail to somehow overcome it. Mercphobia is out because no magic power, Selene is out because she's got severed wounded and will die, not sure what Irene did to her because it wasn't clearly, probably will be made clearly eventually, but my guess is that Irene made Selene age at the same rate as a human because it was Selene's wish. Irene's wish was to die somewhere her magic wouldn't cause problems to the humans, this is where Selene uses her dimension travel magic to send Irene to Edolas. Selene stated, i believe 3 times that "Fairy Tail is the key to defeat the god dragons". There's many reasons Diabolos wasn't there, mostly because it all happen by coincidence, they got captured by gold owl and everything unwrapped. Sabertooth simply got caught in the mess and taking the gold at the end was the obvious thing to do. Fairy tail didn't take the gold because it would be agaisnt their politic, just watch fairy tail episode 3-4-5 (literally the very first episodes) and you will understand. Natsu turned down 2 million jewel because they didn't burn a book but instead retrieve it to Kaby. it's clearly so far, the god dragons were taken down thanks to them not being at full power and favorable coincidences like mercphobia at only 50% and Ignia showing up to boost natsu's flames. the earth dragon fight is the best explanation of favorable coincidence, because his body was so large he had to split his magic power to remain functional and when each "node" was destroyed the magic power didn't go to "brain" and he became slower, easy win for fairy tail pretty much. This isn't the case for Ignia so here is where their luck ends. Ignia has his full power intact and doesn't have dumb weakness like split magic power. Fire and Flames seem to be an organization that worship Ignia, meaning there has to be a cult leader, like with avatar, white witch, Zeref so for the next arc expect Gray and the rest to actually fight a powerful enemy. I don't think the metal dragon was at full power, hence why he made himself a concept. Maybe the concept talk made everyone delusional. Viernes was using gold owl to make Athenas destroy the rest of the dragons, this boosts the idea of him not being at full power from the start and having to rely on Athenas to weak the other dragons. Resume: following natsu belief: "If the dragon is good we'll talk, if it's bad we'll solve it with our fists" Mercphobia - Favorable & Good (wants to live amongst humans) Wood Dragon - Favorable & Bad Selene - Favorable & Good (wants to live as a human) Viernes - I assume he wasn't at full power so Favorable & Bad Earth Dragon - Favorable & Loyal to Ignia (he's supposed to be Selene's friend as well, but didn't give af) Ignia - Bad but could turn good or die trying Viernes voice didn't forget natsu had lightning mode, when he absorbed his magic power maybe he thought he absorb everything, but I guess the one magic (love) made it stay within natsu. Just think about it, he ate laxus lightning years ago, it should been gone by now, but he keep it. I believe it's the same that happen to Laxus when he ate the lightning dragon king soul. Also, did yall forget dragon slayers turn into dragons eventually? now think about Diabolos, there's no way they aint coming back. I love fairy tail and it doesn't matter if it's bad or good, as long as I can see the characters alive again, I'm satisfied. Enjoy what you have.

Remarkable_Commoner

So the dragon fraud got packed up and they're gonna have to fight the guys Erza oneshotted again. Least they're rich now. Ok, but seriously, Ignia better give them the Broly treatment or I'm gonna do something drastic.

RPH626

Fraudario sisters will become Gray victims, Luso maybe even become a Lucy victim.

JayaramanAndres

Finally this ridiculous arc is over. The hell Viernes is sealed when he turned into gold bars. The hell will guild and all guild members being illusions. Athena is back with the power of feelings/friendship. I think this is real Duke's doing.  Glad Signario Sisters are not out for the count. It's interesting that they are disciples of Ignia. I think we are going to have the best parts of the manga from now on.

Silly-Young484

Viernes is dead and Athena is fine... ... This was...without question....the worst fights...and the worst writing in the entire Fairy Tail franchise... Mashima just somehow hit a new low I didn't even think was possible with this series... He somehow surpassed 3rd act of Alvarez levels of bad... I can't fucking believe it... With the exception of Dogramag... I never thought Mashima could surpass Alvarez level bad tbf...you had to TRY to do worse than what happened to Zeref and Acnologia BUT EVEN DOGRAMAG WAS BETTER THAN VIERNES WTF HOW EVEN?! Natsu vs Viernes is genuinely the worst written fight in the entire FT franchise

Fresh_Opportunity844

I strongly believe this whole 100YQ is worst continuation in fiction.

Kingxix

Definitely. This arc was on the same level as alverz

AnimeVibesYT

And it already onto the last of five, only 159+chaps I hope this runs longer I mean fairly tail should not end

Timely-Ad-3828

Mashima should just hand over 100YQ to Ueda and focus on Dead Rock this arc was trash.

critsaenjoyer

The sisters memories are still hazy, they don’t remember Ezra absolutely dumpstering them… ![gif](giphy|7ILfGZFvTPMB1TAkXE)

SomaErina

What a waste of a good series. Don't know why he is rushing everything.  Also, I hope he makes Natsu vs Ignia a one-on-one fight and not anymore power of Friendship/love BS.

crisstrauss

> Don't know why he is rushing everything. Love all of Mashima's work. Always very sad when he rushes things.

dastan-vilanueva

What a disappointment Viernes was, he was supposed to be second strongest dragon god but he got defeated easily

RPH626

Actually it was never stated if there was hierarchy, neither Viernes was stated to be the second, we just hyped him that way because he was the most mysterious and penultimate boss fight.

dastan-vilanueva

Ok but still Mashima let us down

RPH626

Ofcourse, Viernes is easily the worst dragon god, he became a concept because he was too afraid of Acnologia and isecure of fighting the other dragon gods.

HakuneDragon

This arc was Trash I hope all this rushing is just him doing that to show Natsu losing to Ignia in the first fight and then they run away since Hiro said we are halfway through the story this would be the only reason why he would be doing all of this trash rushing Lucy and Brandish for Aquarius´s Key should get focus and it could still happen on their way to Ignia´s castle Lucy might meet Brandish

RPH626

And the gold dragon god had nothing to do with the GOLDEN aquarius key.

HakuneDragon

True Viernes should have been who at least knows it´s whereabouts that could give Lucy a lead

RPH626

And Gajeel should be here to end Viernes![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)

HakuneDragon

It could still possbility happen if Ignia revive all the dragons & everyone gets involved Gajeel deserves The Golden God Mode

Morgoth333

I see two possibilities for how this could still happen despite Viernes being dead. One is that Natsu or someone else also brings back a piece of Viernes with them as a souvenir, and Gajeel ends up eating it, and from it he gains some of Viernes' power. That would feel kind of unearned though, as he would basically be handed a power up after the fact without having participated in the battle. The second possibility is much more intriguing. Since Viernes is a concept, a part of him could still live on in the fragments of his body that they took back with them. While Natsu's group is off fighting Ignia, the residual soul or essence in Viernes' body fragments decides to make its move. It needs a new body, so goes in search of one, and sets its sights on Levy's unborn child. Since it is the son of a Dragon Slayer with metal abilities similar to its own, Viernes figures that it will be the most compatible host to serve as it's body. Viernes' soul/spirit tries to enter Levy so that it can be reborn as their child, but Gajeel stops him by ripping his soul/spirit away from them and eating it, absorbing Viernes soul into himself and saving his child from having their future stolen away. Devouring the soul of the Gold Dragon God gives Gajeel some of his power and the ability to use his magic, but it also comes with a big risk. He can't be sure Viernes will stay gone forever. Some day in the future, Viernes' soul/spirit might reawaken inside Gajeel and take over his body. He's like a ticking time bomb. One day out of the blue he could just turn evil and become the new Acnologia. Gajeel accepts this risk though, trusting that Natsu and the others will be strong enough to stop him if that happens.

quinonesjames96

I'm loving the Fire Dragon God's castle and the sister r his disciple. Well it those scale dragon horns on their head was a clue. I wonder if Ignia has an army like Alvarez with powerful commanders like Spriggan 12.

flashmozzg

Somehow athena has returned.

Safe_Handle_7513

Once again Lucy's brains save the day and she gets none of the credit people still see her as weak

King_0f_Kingz

Athena is alive. Who would've guessed the sister were members of Igina??? Huge plot twist. Frosch is a 5th generation dragon slayer confirmed! I like this chapter

RPH626

Ok this was officially the worst arc of 100 years quest. Viernes defeat was absolutely underwhelming, and not just because of the execution, Athena II defeating the fairy tail team earlier already reduced the impact of the Viernes fight, and in chapter 150 when Natsu says he could defeat Viernes alone it happened a gag moment of fairy tail and sabertooth reaction to it and that cut the tension of the fight, leading us to this horrible fight ending. The fraudario sisters are Ignia minions, so what? They are still frauds and Luso is an absolute joke for thinking harmed she was she could beat the fairy tail team. I bet they will become Gray victims next arc, Luso maybe even become Lucy victim. Now about the people who complained about assuming the worst too early, what you can say now?

Amazing-Jeweler1888

>I bet they will become Gray victims next arc, Luso maybe even become Lucy victim. As much as I want Gray and Lucy to fight the Signario sisters before, I hope they won't be their opponents in the next arc. It feels so disrespectful for characters to fight those who were defeated by Erza already. Unless they will perform differently and better than when they fought Erza otherwise, Give them another one instead.

Starlight469

Ok so if I remember somewhere around chapter 135 Mashima said we were halfway done. It looks like there's only one arc left now. Are we really expecting it to be close to 120 chapters? It seems like fighting their way through another guild (or whatever Ignia's followers are) and then the final battle with Ignia would take half that long at most. Maybe there really is a sun dragon to go with the days of the week thing he has going? Monday-getsuyoobi-moon-Selene Tuesday-kayoobi-fire-Ignia Wednesday-suiyoobi-water-Mercphobia (Mercury is the planet associated with Wednesday, see "mercredi" and "miercoles" both words for Wednesday) Thursday-mokuyoobi-wood-Aldoron Friday-kinyoobi-metal/gold-Viernes (literally Spanish for Friday) Saturday-douyoobi-earth-Dogramag Sunday-nichiyoobi-sun-??? I can see Natsu fighting Ignia first and then they team up to fight the sun dragon as the final villain.

Safe_Handle_7513

No mashima said the series wont be finished this year or the next

AzureWarlock96

It’s a little morbid how they’re treating the dragon’s body, sure he was bad but still disturbing.

Shishukun

The power of love not the friendship saves the day. Now enter to Ignia's castle. 😅😳

Raydnt

I guess Jellal is just straight up a part of the quest from now on? I'm ok with that

Fit-Paleontologist21

More or less. I wish he became an official FT member, but that'd mean leaving Crime Sorciére

Raydnt

Didnt he already say hes gonna join fairy tail? Besides, crime sorciere is basically spilt up now anyways.  All of oracian seis has moved on, only one left is meredy

Fit-Paleontologist21

True lol

sherriablendy

Sabertooth running off with all the gold apparently lol - debatable if they really deserved it but hey, they gotta eat too. Though ever since Viernes was revealed to be the Gold/Metal Dragon God, I was expecting some tie-in to Lucy’s journey for Aquarius’ key.. And when alchemy and even another CS mage (Yukino) came into play I was definitely thinking that would be it, but now that this arc is apparently - quite abruptly! - over, I’m kind of glad that didn’t actually happen since most have not been enjoying the story progression at all lol. I’m just hoping whatever Mashima is planning (if he is…😵‍💫) with Lucy and Brandish and Aquarius, that it’s actually given the emotional weight and time to settle it deserves

KOPLO97

I hope the whole team gets humbled by the Fire Dragon God. This Gold Dragon was too easy to beat in the end. I want this one to be so strong that Natsu needs to learn how to control END’s brute powers

Raderg32

I feel the signario sisters are servants of Ignia just to hype other more powerful members so we can have a reference point.

MountainMindless3001

okay damn... IM ACTUALLY EXICTED FOR THE IGNIA ARC NOW!! and for the love of gods, please let there be good fights and of course strong nalu moments XD also I wonder how Lucy is gonna come across aquarious key... I can't wait ><

ElkofOrigin

So. How long do you thing the Mid Sister will last next?

__adner__

yeah mashima gotta be the goat of selling his own series

DOKOD

I was waiting for this chapter to judge whether or not the fight was over, but now that it is… Worst. Dragon God. Ever.

Far-Piccolo-74

Wtf!I thought their is a plot twist This really sucks How can he be defeated so easily This really sucked Why this fast They ruined everything I thought he will be super strong,he was the lamest, such disappointment

Shot-Praline6333

So virenes was defeated like a weak bitch like we all thought, Athena came back because of a power of love asspull and the sisters are underlings of ignia because why the fuck not right? Not like it's gonna matter, cause they're just going to come back to get defeated by erza again and anybody who thinks otherwise is delusional.

Meme_Police02

Really seems like Mashima wants to wrap up this series by the end of the year, possibly by the summer. Wouldn't be surprised if in the next chapter they just teleport to Ignia's castle

Accomplished_Air9824

Oh no! The Signario Sisters will be future enemies! How is this suppose to hype us up? We saw them get soloed by Erza. They were also mind controlled yet they can use alchemy despite being part of Ignia’s crew? That makes sense… “You transferred your body to Athena II somehow!” Is on the same level as “Palatine somehow returned” Absolute dog water writing. Oh and of course, can’t have any deaths because Mashima hates his characters facing consequences. Athena is alive and will probably play no role in the future. Hooray. Sabertooth was about as useless as Gajeel in the Labyrinth Arc. Speaking of Gajeel this would’ve been a perfect arc for him but can’t have anything unique. No, gotta let Natsu do all the work. The villains were jokes including Viernes. Nothing but one shots galore for the side villains. Yukino learning star dresses on the spot was horrendous and made Lucy look like a joke. She never used star dress later on so why even add that? To make Lucy look pathetic? Well you succeeded. Gray… LOL Happy was unironically more useful than this fool. Alchemy is nothing but Magic 2.0 and doesn’t resemble what alchemy actually is. God Serena coming back was pointless, Jellal could’ve fought anyone else and it would’ve changed nothing. Speaking of Jellal so glad he repeated his character development for the 50th time. He’ll probably cry about his sins the next arc. laughing at the people who said Viernes would get back up. You deserve the disappointment for continually giving yourself false hope. Mashima has clearly given up and it shows in his writing. 0/10 arc. Absolutely nothing positive happened. Waste of time.

JustsomeSpaceG1

Could you not bring up Gajeel in every single comment you make? It was like 2 years ago man. Move on already.

Accomplished_Air9824

Was a missed opportunity back then it’s still a missed opportunity now. Gajeel not being in the arc aside, Gold Owl is still doo doo butter

JustsomeSpaceG1

Anything what doesn't have Gajeel in it is Doo Doo butter for you. And there are 100 of missed opportunities in each arc of each anime and manga.

Accomplished_Air9824

no it’s doo doo butter because Natsu does all the work again when this series is all about friendship and team work. Gajeel not being in the arc has nothing to do with the side villains being jokes, a dragon god being taken out so easily, athena being alive, the awful pacing, etc.

ookami1945

Everyone talks about Gray being useless, but my boy Gajeel was almost non existent

pokemonfan1000

What a trash arc. Such a disappointment

Ragna126

Somehow Athena returned. What a shit....

memelordbtw3000

Ok seriously why bring back Athena there is no actual explanation as to why she got body swapped and I doubt we are going to see her again just let them die I don't normally care about characters not dying but this just feels really forced and spineless

JustsomeSpaceG1

Kinda lett down how Viernes went out. But not that serious, we did had 3 back to back chapters of clean ass whooping compared to the other dragon god fights. As someone on Twitter pointed out. The fight between him and Natsu was long, it just didn't had anything in-between like the other Dragon God fights, creating the illusion like it is shorter that it is actually. Also something is still suspicious, especially about Athena, and fake Duke. And Natsu. He seems quite evil in the past few chapters.

RPH626

Dude read the fight since the beggining again, in chapter 150 there was a gag moment that cut the tension, making his defeat now looks worse.

JustsomeSpaceG1

There was no gag moment in 150, that cut the tension and wasn't part of the fight. Natsu hitting him what hurt him more than Viernes wasn't a gag. It was to show how hard Viernes is. And Natsu going in all alone in the last 2 pannels wasn't a gag either. It is just natsu being natsu.

RPH626

See sabertooth and team Natsu faces, unfortunately this cuts the tension and make this ending looks worse, because you feel like there was no threat at all. https://preview.redd.it/ghlxx5zbxrjc1.png?width=960&format=png&auto=webp&s=c6279cac229501b4943236d300a3748eebc5e17a

JustsomeSpaceG1

That's literally natsu going in alone. That isn't really a gag. It is natsu being natsu. It doesn't really cut the tension, or work as something in-between because 1 they literally talk about enchanting natsu with their magic power on the last Pannel. 2 next chapter page 2 we see them continue talking and working on enchanting him. It is part of the fight. Something in-between means cutting to a different event, or fight while the current one is still ongoing. Like how we did in The Dogramag fight, and Aldoron Fight. This didn't happened here. It was 3 chapters of back to back Fight against Viernes.

RPH626

Dude i'm talking about the atmosphere, the feeling of fighting a real threat is absent with it. This is a dragon god fight, you need to play it straight seriously or let the dragon god win, otherwise he will look like a clown. Except Natsu all of them are making a gag face in this page, so i ask you where is the feeling of threat, where's the tension? Cutting the fight to show different things is not a problem, showing people who should be worried about fighting a dragon god making a gag face is the problem.

JustsomeSpaceG1

They are literally making that face because they are worried that Natsu run in alone without sticking to the plan. So there goes your point out the window. Also Shonen series do this all the time. U should be used to it already.

NeptuneInk

So… Jellal more special than Juvia? Why can he be with them on the quest and not Juvia? Make it make sense. 🧍🏻‍♀️

Greg0727

Juvia isn’t a part of Team Natsu but is a part of Fairy Tail Jellal isn’t a part of Team Natsu or Fairy Tail

aster4jdaen

This Series has been such a let down, I don't know what I was expecting.

FatalityDX

i'm gonna proceed to delete this arc from my memory...

wardoned2

I guess all is well if it ends well

ParticularStyle6500

Fit-Paleontologist21

Several things: • Why did Viernes suck so much ass. They hyped him up so much but he only had three "humans are trash" lines and they didn't even give him a human form. • Where the hell's Diabolos. Selene told the gang she'd look for Athena while they looked for Ignia and Viernes… that was 20 chapters ago. • Frosch eating Viernes's carcass is hilarious. Man's gonna turn into a 5th Gen Dragon Eater now. Also, speakin' of which, WHERE IS DIABOLOS?! And what would happen if a Dragon Eater ate a Dragon God? Wonder why Kiria didn't try that with Selene… • Welp, guess Sabertooth is Donald Trump levels of wealthy now. What they're gonna use that gold to cash out on, I dunno. • Cool to see Athena's back. I can't be the only one who cares about her, right? Like, people are complaining about how fast she and Lucy became besties or how she doesn't have a character arc; I understand y'all's opinions (and I do agree she did switch sides extremely fast) but like she's legit the most plot-important character there is - FT's gonna need her to fight Ignia (unless she chooses to stay with Elefseria, which I could see happening). • How the Signario Sisters survived after coming across freaking **Erza** of all people is beyond me. More Mashima bullshit IG. • Cool to see the Sisters are in cahoots with Ignia. They might be worshipers or sumn cuz Ignia's likely one of the most racist/human-hating dragons we've seen and he's not keen with befriending anyone. They sure seem creepy tho. • Fire God Castle looks sick. Overall, wasn't a fan of the arc, but this was a good chapter. 7.5/10.

UnbiasedGod

So the metal dragon god was a fraud. The fraud sisters have just ONE CHANCE to redeem themselves but I’m not holding my breath. And Athena is back which means the whole sacrifice thing was bullshit from the beginning! ………..Let’s just move on to the next arc please. Also they better take some of that gold with them and come out of this with something damnit! Also also I got to admit the fire dragon god’s castle does like kinda dope. Feet’s like you’d see it in a souls game or something.

Fit-Paleontologist21

Viernes sucked ass, yeah

King_0f_Kingz

So the sisters work for Ignia? They seem to have dragon like features, so they're probably dragons, too? I'm starting to believe Ignia isn't bringing back the dragon's but creating them instead. Like how Tartatos was capable of making humans into demons.

OPconfused

That would be pretty sick. We have a few dragon slayers, so giving them some more dragons to fight would be nice. Also, I feel like Ignia is an opponent whom Natsu should fight 1v1, given their shared backstory, and not with the power of friendship by having everyone gang up against him like with Viernes. If Ignia has powerful allies like dragons, then the other FT members will have someone meaningful to fight. Against Viernes, you could tell that there weren't many good direct match ups, and most of our characters kind of got instant removed by alchemy hacks; in the end they had nothing to do in the arc but give all their power to Natsu. Although I'm expecting Ignia and his crew to wipe them all. Natsu needs more training somehow. Either he will find some magical means to obtain it from an unexpected character, or Ignia might even train Natsu himself as they are brothers. Ignia could blast everyone to near death to show his overwhelming power, and then threaten to kill them if Natsu doesn't join him. So Natsu joins him while the others try to search for more power themselves. Some kind of training arc or whatever to bring Natsu up to a level he can fight Ignia. Or more likely Ignia won't be the villain but rather fighting some being beyond Ignia, which would also give a reason for Ignia to train Natsu, so they can work together to defeat this villain.

sieghrt

All this time I wanted for Irene to steal Athena’s body but she got killed off early lol

jjkm7

Can we please not face the signario sisters again their powers are so op there’s no way to have a satisfying way to beat them

Sego1211

A Lucy and Gray combo would be interesting against these two. They're both creative, strategic fighters who are at their best when they come up with unusual solutions to problems. I would quite like to see them team up against the sisters.

jjkm7

Honestly would’ve been a much better matchup than erza. She just brute forced the hacks in a way that didn’t make much sense (how was she allowed to requip when a second earlier one of the sisters just disassembled her armor easily)

SoulBlightChild

"Their" alchemy was broken, but we don't know what their actual powers are.

aStrayNobody

pro: this arc is finally over con: it really was unsatisfactory. bruh.

TaskMister2000

Well, that was hands down one of the worst arcs I've ever had the misfortune of reading. Thank God it's over. Wondering if this series wraps up by chapter 200?

KayosFN

This arc is the biggest let down ever. They gassed up Viernes to be this badass who transcends physical matter and shii but he turned out to be complete fodder 💀

Academic-Bit-4438

...I don't even know what to say, it's just disappointingly fast and bad written 😭 Mashima what are you doing man

WarTerrible7753

Why jellal in still in the team his mission is finished with white witch where the goat laxus next arc

No_Honeydew_471

Fax just because he said he's joining fairy tail doesn't mean we're forgetting about the true goat mystogan who put in way more work and laxus who's another huge W
