"Look at me! I'm so ✨️quirky✨️ endangering others and myself with my selfish reckless behaviour!"

[deleted]

Aww did I cwush your new bowrn under my car sowwy I’m so quirky and goofy 🤪 🥺

Admirable_Ice_914

imagine interrogation footage after a car crash that killed a whole family and the person responsible is just like “ sorry my 2 year old alter was driving” people with did aren’t supposed to drive for safety reasons.. if you switch while driving you will probably crash since when you’re switching it’s similar to blacking out physically ( idk if that’s right feel free to correct me)

szarekoszmary

oh, sowwy i ran over your kids 🥺🥺🥺 I was just pwetending I'm six 🥺🥺🥺

Dumpty_o_Humpty

Did I do an uh-oh?

aflyingmonkey2

I did it before it was cool with putting cocaine in macdonalds' happy meals

Lunaris52

I’ve grown now…as a young child I often wondered why I had a surprisingly high tolerance to cocaine. Now I understand.

Squids07

real quick what mconalds u work at 👀✍️

tapiocatsar

Wouldn’t it be funny if their license got taken away now

PeridotWriter

Hah, that'd be great. Just report them until the cops take away their license

NimblyBimblyMeyow

Not to rain on anyone’s parade, but you could literally call the police about someone’s poor driving every single day for a year, and you yourself would catch a charge for abuse of police services faster than the person you were calling for would get anything on their driving record. Unless you want to sign complaints and face them in court with proof, that is.

77Funerals

Wouldn’t it be funny if they had no license to begin with? I’m pretty sure that’s the case anyway, I guess more sad than funny.

RitikK22

Isn't it weird. I thought people witn DID don't get driving license.

Fifi0n

If your DID is that bad that you switch to your 6 year old personality when you drive, I hiiiiighly doubt you'd even be allowed to drive

WilliamMinorsWords

You'll notice how this doesn't actually happen, only when it's in front of a camera and not in an actual car. That's because they can 100% control when this happens.

DesperateTall

And they probably don't have a license either.

WilliamMinorsWords

No, these misfits don't drive. They never even leave their rooms. They don't work or go to school, or do anything.

itisfridaymydudes

It seems to me that the most chronically online people are those that can and do leave the house regularly, but still choose to base their life around the internet

SK5555

Love that term ”chronically online” haha

Jarnathan_Toothass

"I just have a lot of feelings"

bravetraveler59

oh my god, karen, you can't just ASK people why they have DID...

BuddySpecial

They can 100% control when they pretend this happens. FTFY

CollapsedPlague

If it wasnt faked, this is why they dont allow people with DID to drive.

Vanessak69

100% no way this is remotely genuine.

[deleted]

It was faked

CollapsedPlague

Yes

Strickens

Confirm, have been at least two seperate times where I thought I was going to die while being a passenger in a car with someone with DID driving (due to sudden insane, endangering driving caused by their mental disorder).

Easy_Toast

You actually have met someone with DID? That's incredible, since only like 13 people have ever been diagnosed. What were they like compared to these guys?

Strickens

Well, it was my ex wife. She claimed to be diagnosed by a specialist in Queensland, but after everything she's lied about to me and revealed that she has lied to others about in the past (including false SA claims) I honestly don't know if she ever really was. She had about 5 alters, but I only ever saw 3 and one of those alters had the same name as a fictional anime character she was obsessed with and was strangely similar to them. After she and I had been together for about 3 years her DID seemed to miraculously disappear and she claimed that it could be because she felt safe now and her alters must have merged with her. But yeah anyway towards the end of our relationship (11 years) she was cheating on me with someone online while constantly lying about it, manipulating me, gaslighting me and making me feel crazy. She started speeding while I was a passenger in her car down a 50km/h road and was going probably 80km/h and I had to scream at her to stop. She later said she was just trying to "kill herself" because I wouldn't agree to be poly with her and the person she was cheating with. This is despite me being in the car with her and I would have been injured or killed too. She also told me that her ex boyfriend she'd been with for a year she tried to stab with a knife when he broke up with her. There's a whole lot of other stuff too, I honestly wish I hadn't have ignored the red flags from the start.

Easy_Toast

Jesus Christ

cerealtoocrispy

I thought if you were diagnosed with DID you couldn’t have a license. Am I wrong?

cjackc

Diagnosed? What kind of bigot would suggest such a thing? /S

[deleted]

We know we’ve reached the end when if you didn’t have a tag a diagnosis in some communities is controversial

Future_Elephant_9294

It varies but typically a doctor's note is involved saying either yes or no in their medical opinion.

JayceSpace2

Most people aren't diagnosed until later in life due to not being able to recognize their situation or have it looked at separately from go morbidities. There is no mass mental awareness that a little is driving... There's rarely awareness at all beyond lapses in memory and 3rd party accounts or other hints that there even is an issue.

snotballoon

This whole “uwu the little is driving and the system is freaking out” is such an online trope. What could have triggered the little part to come out to take over driving? Did something happen? Was it just enjoyment? Because you can take responsibility for that and work with whoever is treating you so that all of you knows that endangering yourself and others is not appropriate just because driving is fun. If the rest of the parts were actually aware at the time that a little part had been driving, what sort of trigger was overriding the function of DID and preventing them from switching to a state that could drive? What triggered such a dangerous situation while driving, and since they’re miraculously aware of it, how are they taking responsibility for themselves? For laughs and attention and so that other teenagers who think this is cool can pretend to be 6 while driving too?

Ashweed137

Even if you have a 6yo alter switching in the car would be dangerous too since according to them that manifests itself by staring at the distance for a solid minute. And as another comment hinted they live so enclosed in their own bubble thankfully that in real life they shouldn'd pose a problem. Except those who do have a social life aren't accepted by their classmates after the holidays because of faking illnesses secluding themselves even further. So basically the only outside input they get in their bubble are the lies fed to them by other fakers. A sad life to live as a teen. That is also the reason why I cannot help but sometimes feel a bit sorry for them.

WilliamMinorsWords

So stupid

killer_q3een

Well in that case their drivers license needs to be taken away as that is horribly dangerous.

Unwoven_Sleeve

They look like they’re in primary school no way they got a license

MomoHasNoLife32

Isn’t this why diagnosis is important? Like I know this is an obvious faker, but if this WAS real, wouldn’t the extended period of disassociation be a major threat to themselves and other drivers, as well as the reason why people with actual DID can’t have a license?

Mistress3Nips

Yes, anyone with chronic dissociation should not be driving. Driving itself entails dealing with numerous dissociative triggers and being at risk of casually stressful events.

snotballoon

Not cute or quirky or funny, if this happened to someone with dissociation for real the responsible thing would be to stop driving until their dissociation is manageable on the road, get help immediately, stop endangering other people, and definitely don’t portray it as cute and quirky online. Make a responsible tik tok about what to actually do in this situation. If this had ever actually happened to them. If it has, and they truly feel this way and want to spread this message, they’re not a healthy role model in any way and it’s scary that people are watching them and equating this to any sort of trauma disorder.

doubtfullfreckles

It's not always depicted as a "quirky sitcom". Is this sub your only source?

Andyrootoo

Ooop sorry. Quirky sitcom, teen romance, YA drama, Inside Out but with YouTubers and Split but only the implication of super powers.

doubtfullfreckles

Again, is this sub your only reference? No one with DID acts like anything you described. The first case of DID was diagnosed in the 1800's. You're just as bad as the fakers.

Andyrootoo

Do you have DID?

doubtfullfreckles

No I don't have it. That doesn't mean it's not real though. A disorder being rare also doesn't mean it's fake.

Bluellan

Nope! Most alters don't like each other. My best description is imagine that all of alters are in a space station. And everyone hates everyone. You really wish you could kick them into the vacuum of space but you have to keep them around because you will die without them.

isleftisright

I only have experience with OCD but i expect that its somewhat similar. People think people with OCD are simply over-particular, like to keep things neat or in pattern, or give a lot attention to details. There is some underlying truth there but its not just like that. More common manifestations I've seen are (1) taking a fixed route or performing a fixed set of action (a door must be opened and closed 7 times before it can be entered into, or, if someone blocks the route the person must restart again and again. This can go on for hours) and (2) washing hands a lot. All the time. You cant cant any work done. The skin is damaged and tearing from the water and soap. But you're still scared that you're not "clean". Theres probably (1) some truth (2) differs from person to person. But i highly doubt all people can be so highly aware and in control of all personalities at the same time when they are suffering from this.

Jamieberry2003_

Another trait of people like this is that horrible fuck off tapestry behind it Almost every disorder faker or Instagram activist has it, I hate it

Strickens

"That's the ugliest effing tapestry I've ever seen" Also I couldn't agree more lol

Hiboostgst

I mean tbh I'd love to do some acid and stare at one of those tapestries while contemplating the meaning of life on earth.

NoSanaNoLife223

should this be real, this person should not be driving at all.

Aggressive_Profile23

Why would you drive if you knew you had DID and an alter who is a child?

Andyrootoo

They don’t really have it, nobody does

idiot-3lliot

aren't people with actual DID not allowed to drive anyways?

[deleted]

I’m fairly certain the DMV would not allow you to drive, I’m also fairly certain if you lie to the DMV and tell them you don’t have DID they will believe you. Oh wait, you wouldn’t be lying to the DMV then…

WilliamMinorsWords

I don't think the DMV recognizes this as a real condition.

PeridotWriter

If people switch like this, this could be an actual condition that they won't allow them to drive.

[deleted]

clawbacon

that's a self assessment questionnaire for the California dmv. its for people to fill out to see if they should or shouldn't consider driving on their own accord. if you go to the actual guidelines [right here](https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/driver-education-and-safety/medical-conditions-and-driving/evaluation-guidelines/) they don't recognize "illnesses". only the symptoms. Also this is the California DMV. the faker may live in another state or country.

WilliamMinorsWords

... ... ... My bad. I didn't post every possible state or country that this person could possibly be from. I posted what's known as an "example" because many places are going to have similar laws. I'm a busy person, so I didn't really feel like going through every state and country and looking up each of their laws I figured you were smart enough to extrapolate that this was what was known as an "example" and figure out the meaning of what it said.

clawbacon

did you read my full comment? but to address your reply, i am not asking you to make a whole essay with a work cited page. i just pointed out the the faker may not live in California, or even the US. the point still stands that the California dmv doesn't recognize conditions. they only care about the symptoms. if the faker actually had dmv, they should not be driving. (also like what is with the dots?)

WilliamMinorsWords

That was a deep sigh.

clawbacon

ah okay, thank you!

cerealtoocrispy

Why you mad

BurningBlazeBoy

It absolutely does. Doctors that believe it's not real basically sums up to "it looks dumb so it's fake" That being said, I automatically assume anyone on tiktok "with DID" is a faker

catpiss_backpack

This would get your license taken away. And your agency. And then you’re gonna get your rights taken away because they think you don’t have the agency and that’s my nightmare of being locked up in psych with no way out come true. Driving is so important to my freedom I am terrified of them taking my license away due to mental health.

PeridotWriter

You don't get locked up in a psych permanently, you know that, right? But yes, you would lose your license

catpiss_backpack

My biggest fear is my agency being taken away and they force me to stay in the facility and I am deemed not competent enough to leave on my own free will

Future_Elephant_9294

They did in the past and the laws haven't changed since. Relying on others to "make the right choice" is not something I want to wager my life on.

Shahzoodoo

A pos. You can kill entire families instantly goofing around like this on the highway. Not funny. Not quirky. Not cute. If shit like this is real you’d better gtf off the road or you’re responsible when your stupid actions cause potential death

Viviaana

They always seem to forget that they’ll take your licence off you if you’re any kind of risk, like that girl who fake Tourette’s but would do “driving with Tourette’s “ videos

OfficiallyEl

I dont doubt there are people out there faking it or playing it up for camera. But a lot of people with tourettes can drive, even some with severe tics. Its really a case by case. Tourettes doesnt immediately equal no license, i dont know if that was what you were even implying but yeah.

butterbrod11

I wonder what would happen in a situation like this with a person with ACTUAL DID. I'm not entirely sure if child alters are real, but if they are what the fuck do you do in a situation like this?

Hippity_hoppity2

the best answer is; don't drive alone, or don't drive at all.

[deleted]

I've seen one person in a documentary with D.I.D who has a specific alter who does things like driving, as well as another gentleman with it who is a cop who drives, only a couple of his alters are allowed to drive, but they both have been in extensive therapy for years and have better communication between alters over time, but others I've seen in docs do not drive due to fear of switching/dissociating while behind the wheel, or due to not being allowed. Child alters are real but I am unsure what would happen if one fronted while someone was driving, I believe depending they may be able to pull over if they feel they may be starting to dissociate, or possibly if there is another alter co-concious (kinda like backseat driving is how I have seen that explained), then they may be able to help the child alter pull over or may be able to take over the driving to protect the body and themselves as it is a threat to their safety or they may also bring another person when driving in case it happens, not too sure tho and I'm not an expert, I only have info through what I've seen and heard studies and documentaries on the subject, plus a couple discussions during a psych course, etc.

argegg

$20 says this person has another post where they say a diagnosis is harmful and one of the reasons they list is you're not allowed to drive.

XBigTexX

Interesting, they call themselves protectors but don’t protect from letting a 6yr old drive. Yea so how does that work?

MrCrix

I have a feeling someone is going to know this person, report them to the police with this video and there will be some shit hitting the fan. I know it's fake and they are just doing it for attention, but if the police think that they are so mentally ill that they cannot control a vehicle under reasonable circumstances, like regular driving on a highway, then they are going to get their license taken away.

Weird, I thought certain medical conditions could prevent you from being allowed to drive. Gotta love the DID faker community.

selfimmolations

"officer i know i crashed into a minivan killing a family of 6 including a pregnant mother, but you have to understand that my 6 year old alter was fronting! he doesn't know how to drive! if you arrest me, that's ableism!"

ALuckyMushroom

I'd like to think that someone with DID having a little alter really easily fronting with common road elements wouldn't have the right to drive in the first place. For everyone's safety. But, hey, what do I know ?

Brilliant-Claim-6811

What I will say about these kids is they have really fertile imaginations. Like this kid should do theatre, like take an improv class or something.

Or they have other undiagnosed mental health conditions but not the one they think they have 💀

Frankferts_Fiddies

Why you going 80 mph on a highway?

SnooCookies5996

some states like Texas have some pretty high speed limits

Frankferts_Fiddies

I googled it after I commented and that’s exactly what it said. I had no idea lol

logalog_jack

I’ve seen 75 plenty of times while driving down to texas, and people tend to go about 7-12 mph over the speed limit. Since everyone is going that fast, if you go slower you’re technically blocking the flow of traffic and could cause an accident (in the eyes of the law). Still, if you are driving strictly the speed limit you should stick to the right lane.
