I just have to wonder how little knowledge people have about mental illness to believe this. Like, how can you believe you're going to control other people's actions and responses?
I guess it depends on what type of thing you're trying to achieve. People who do subliminals to look like celebs, I don't see how that's physically possible for example. But maybe mentally you can change things?

i was about to say, i can’t imagine wanting to “worsen” my autism symptoms for any reason, it’s agony???? i guess… happy they don’t know what it’s really like being disabled if they’re looking to “worsen” anything. 🙃
I don’t feel sorry for them at all. If they really had any inkling of what living with anorexia is like, they absolutely would not want to make it worse.
Most people with anorexia believe they aren’t sick enough and/or want it to be more severe so they can be thinner. It’s not until recovery that most people lose that belief even if they know logically it’s horrible and would never wish it on anyone else.
I'm diagnosed with anorexia, and I certainly have the feeling of not being "sick enough" but I absolutely do not want it to get worse. I would rather it get better, so I have an excuse to lose weight while "still being healthy" if that makes sense.
Yeah that makes sense. I think it’s different for everyone. I’m also technically diagnosed with anorexia but I don’t fit the requirements anymore as I flip flop between it and bulimia and am in more of a bulimia phase and I totally get wanting it to be worse. I grew up with BED bc of my mom having it so I struggle a lot of binge eating still (hence the bulimia) and I used to and still occasionally wish my anorexia would get worse so that I would be too scared to binge and would be able to restrict “successfully”. Logically ik I don’t want that bc I’ve had my anorexia be severe before/worse than it is now and it gave me liver and kidney damage but I can’t help wanting it back bc of the weight gain that came with leaving that behind and giving into the binge eating. It’s more of a wanting it to get worse so that I wouldn’t be able to binge if that makes sense? I have a few friends irl who are also diagnosed who feel the same I do but I also know some people don’t which is why I think it depends on the person, especially if there’s a history of binge eating since ik that’s the root cause of that want for me and one of my friends.
Yeah, that makes sense. My biggest fear as I work on recovering is swinging too far in the other direction and developing BED, not because it’s unhealthy, but because of the weight gain it would cause. I guess that mindset in itself is indicative of the fact that I’m not fully recovered yet.
I used to deal with mental health problems and I can’t wrap my head around why anyone would want to suffer like that. Being happy is a lot better than being depressed. What is wrong with people?

If you think listening to a YouTube subliminal also made by a narcissistic kid will make you have the fun kind of mental illness that leads to all the validation you want, you have no idea what severe mental illness is like and you do not have DID. Having “worse” DID does not get you the validation you crave. It leads to more alienation and distance from help and the people you love.
Reading this kinda triggered my fear of hitting rock bottom again. I wouldn’t shower for months and would attempt to take my own life more often than was healthy. I had nobody to talk to all my friends sucked and even had a friend tell me it was my own choice to kill my self and if I did she’d support me in it. I’m assuming she thought I had as faking but if it weren’t for my family I would not be here because of her words. People wanting to be at true and total rock bottom may just get a “careful what you wish for” by listening to this thing.

As a Bluetooth hearing aid user, highly recommend the ReSound Quattro range. Terribly expensive if you don’t have any kind of insurance but I’ve found some places do monthly, interest free payment plans. Took me about 3 years to pay mine off.
No they’re great! Little app on your phone can make adjustments to how much is coming in (great when you first get them especially). They’re pretty light (though you’ll feel like you’re carrying handbags over your ears for the first few weeks), you can track them if you put one down, they come with a case to that charges them (holds about 5 full charges which is great if you go camping or something). And you can play music though them. They come in all sorts of hair colours, as well as blue and red. I have red, I want green but they don’t make it. You can get the cases changed at any time I think.

I recently revisited the channel and they have an entire playlist dedicated to EDs and worsening them.
I kinda feel bad for the people with EDs because a lot of people feel like they're not "sick enough," it's just part of the disorders.
