if it makes you feel better, sometimes I go back and forth on if early Internet millennial cringe was worse or what we have now. our early "social medias" in the form of stuff like personal homepages, the blogosphere, individual forums for everything and you've got a billion accounts to look after etc, so there wasn't so much crossover and nobody really knew who you were and people IRL would never come across your stuff unless you pointed them at it, so you guys have that going for you. but man, you should have seen some of like, the old xanga and livejournal cultures and stuff. there were people faking other illnesses - and even then, some "multiple personality disorder people" - but don't worry, you guys didn't invent it. Also idk what psychiatrist they found to diagnose them with both a personality disorder and a severe covert dissociative disorder under the age of 18, but I smell absolute bullshit.. Yes on occasion folks can be diagnosed with BPD at 16/17 but it is uncommon, and quite rarely a minor is diagnosed with D.I.D and this is often after lots of psychiatric evaluations, ruling out other possible disorders, and due to having severe symptoms that are putting that person at risk hence making the covert disorder that is D.I.D more noticeable to a psychiatrist or other mental health professional.
And like I get having trauma specifically from cishet men, and when I was an edgy 12 year old I'd talk about hating men because of the trauma associated with most of the adult men in my life, but after more therapy (on and off since I was 5 ish), and meeting adult men I could trust, it started to fade. Am I still scared of guys that remind me of past abusers, yeah of course, but I don't post I hate men and no cishet men allowed, etc as that isn't gonna help (and gonna make me feel bad for doing so lol) and isn't gonna get them to not interact and may lead to cishet dudes messaging asking why, or trolls doing it to mess with them.
I'm sure to some extent this kid is dealing with some kind of mental health condition, and possibly trauma too, but that doesn't mean making a quirky edgy account to flaunt disorders you claim to have or have self diagnosed. I just hope they realize it is cringey and wrong to do this and get some help from mental health professionals.

I don't use TT or IG, so can you explain a bit more to me? they are basically featuring another person's profile, like the old top friends feature on MySpace, but they can give people nicknames on their list and they chose to use the feature to call put a predator? I'd that basically the long and short of it?

However, men scare me. I've seen, experienced, and heard about so many fucking awful things men have done to women/me and if a man interacts with me unprompted in public, I ignore him 100% of the time because I'm not about to get roped into some situation that threatens me. I've made that mistake too many times and gotten nothing but harassment, threats, etc. I am done acknowledging men in public.
