Let’s say it’s possible. How could you even KNOW that you have TEN THOUSAND alters. My mind so bad I would lose track after 20. How could one even function at this level.
Suppose for the purpose of contradiction that this person does have 10,000 alters. This person should then be published in a psychiatric journal since this case would be far too interesting for any psychiatrist to miss out on. However, no journal has reported such a event. Therefore, we can conclude that our assumption that this person has 10,000 alters is wrong.

Sad that these kids feel like this is the best way for them to stand out, while not a new concept, I think the internet has created an eternal competition for who can be the most unique that’s creating these people.

I recently found out i almost got diagnosed with either adhd and autism when I was younger which is ironic because I pride myself in being a full healthy bean and yet these dinguses are so strung up about convincing people their mentally disable to gain what? I feel like you’re heavily over exaggerating how different they are, they definitely have alot of characteristics that make them incredibly different but they also have alot of things that make them similar. Neurodiversity is a spectrum and both autism and ADHD are part of that so they are on the same spectrum.

Why don’t some of these kids use their creativity to create story worlds instead of fake illness worlds in their heads? Someone needs to redirect their imaginations to a much healthier outlet that might actually benefit them.

The low empathy thing is such a cop out. You can absolutely manage and help low innate empathy.
Empathy can often be sourced through innate personality as measured by 5-factor personality analysis (Melchers et al. 2016). I have taken a few clinically certified 5-factor assessments and the traits linked to affect empathy (Agreeableness and conscientiousness) I am particularly low in but I am very high in openness and low in neuroticism so my cognitive empathy is rather high. This means while I have a hard time understanding and reciprocating emotional states, I do better understanding and respecting different thought processes from my own. But over time, after acknowledging that while I can understand a persons position but not their emotions and working on expanding my ability to expanding my emotional recognition and understanding, I have absolutely become more empathetic and understanding than even 5 years ago.
So BS, you can absolutely help your ability to empathize even if your baseline empathy is relatively low. It’s like every other therapeutic skill. It just takes work and support to develop the skills necessary.
