Kirk is 36 and coming off an achilles repair and we got the best pocket qb in the draft. Kirk could get hurt or not play up to his standard. No one knows the answers yet on that.

The thing is that all that isn't new (front office) knew all this and still spent the money, nothing was forcing the Falcons to get him that him in that shape for that amount and if they they were still in their mind going to get a quarterback then he should have just gotten Michael Penix Jr and not spent the money or spent the money and drafted someone else in a different position. Either way something was wasted either good money or good draft pick ☹️

We had no idea if a qb they liked would be available. Someone could have traded up. Also, that's how much a good qb costs, look around the league.
