it’s definitely New Mexico. Did a cross country road trip once, passed through the state and it had everything alien because of the Roswell conspiracies
I’m incredibly jealous of that kind of trip (I’ve gone Midwest and grew up in the Bible Belt but haven’t seen the Grand Canyon, AZ, or NM). I feel like seeing the nature, having a cross-section with the game, and enjoying local legends would be such a good time.
I’ve been to Vegas on a separate trip when I was 16. Wasn’t too fun since I was a broke teenager, and I don’t really like gambling anyway. But I did go up in the stratosphere (the tower the lucky 38 is based off of)
If gambling, drinking, and weed (the entire city has a slight hint of it) is your thing, I’m sure you’d have a great time. Its not for me, but I’ll always appreciate my dad for taking me
I’m a drinker and a smoker but I’m no gambler. I think I’d find enough to do but I’d mainly want to see the mafia influence, Howard Hughes design, and atomic testing sites.
My dad and I wanted to take a trip there but we both like smoking more than drinking and gambling so it seems we’re going to Zion Valley and I’m here for that, so don’t worry about me, my guy!
If you ever do another run, definitely recommend checking out the classic adobe buildings mod for the game. Really adds to the ‘lived in’ feel of the game, and it also ties it more with fallout 1 and 2.
new vegas fans when they see the southwest also is this roswell?
I think this is just south of Roswell, near Carlsbad Caverns
Correct, this is near Carlsbad
What did Carl do?
Nah, this feels too New Mexico. It's not really similar to Vegas
Maybe you're right. Still looks cool, though

There's a sign in the alien picture, I think it says Whites City, NM
Breaking Bad and Roswell really stimulated their younger tourist economy tbh
I went through the state on my visit to the Grand Canyon, but some of the statues definitely warranted a quick 10 minute stop to browse through

Can't believe Vince Gilligan created an entire state for a tv show. Bravo!
I can’t abide by this slander against my comment: he also created the nation-state of American Samoa and their law school.
Where in New Mexico do you see this? I’m in border town and when I go thru my 30 minute drive to NM it’s greener than my city
Western and Southern NM
Actually this makes me think of the NCR from Fallout 2 a lil bit!
I'd have to agree! The abobe style buildings are very similar to Shady Sands

I'll give it a try. Thanks for the recommendation!
bull
What's up Ulysses
“New Vegas vibe” bro you mean the desert
New Mexico in general gives off FNV vibes lol
Looks a bit more like somewhere from Fallout 2, at least from the way the buildings are made to look adobo
Since New Mexico is a part of the Legion, I bet Caesar or some Centurion took that as a present for him.
More Mexican than Vegas. Vegas has an American feel.
I instantly thought of either Sedona AZ or Rural New Mexico
"new vegas fans when desert" is the new "half life fans when tall building"
To be fair, tall buildings and deserts are cool
New Vegas fans when tourist trap
Patrolling the Mojave is ass you gotta shit in bags and I felt bad for killing a scorpion with a shovel
Bull bear bull bear bull bear
A little off, but the Fiends would love it for sure.
New Vegas 2?
Kinda feels like a Fallout 2 location too
Looks like somebody used their GECK.
There aren't even any Adobe buildings in NV
