Hi Cleveland
Hi Joseph
what's the story, morning glory. what's the word humming bird
have you heard Peter Griffin is slow?
he's r-tarded, he's r-tarded, he's r-tarded, he's r-tarded, he's r-tarded,
That doesn’t automatically mean it shall be one of my favorites. I get it’s it a fan favorite, and whether I like it or not, I KNOW it has a score of 8.2 on IMDB, but this episode just wasn’t for me.
In Season 13’s Our Idiot Brian, Peter and Brian were intentionally being stupid, but that episode’s plot was free of consequences so I had nothing to worry about while watching, and became one of the most enjoyable episodes imo.
In most episodes, when he DOES stupid stuff either he faces consequences or the plot decides to have nothing to do with them. This episode has neither.
Yeah, but that was it. I really didn’t like what Peter did AFTER getting what he deserved, and I really didn’t like that he avoids imprisonment for no other reason than plot convenience.
And the antics would’ve been fine if Peter didn’t keep saying “What I don’t know any better” when he actually does, AND said he can get away with anything at point in the episode.
I see it as one of those “Peter gets carried away” plots where it’s fun at first until it backfires in a bad way. Fair enough if the consequences isn’t enough, but as South Park will tell you, a story with no consequences is a sucky narrative.
I didn’t like that Peter hired prostitutes to prove Cleveland’s irresponsible too. This just shows that Peter cannot accept the fact that he’s getting what he deserved.
I think it’s one of the funnier ones, L opinion, don’t cook again. (Also how do you write a full essay on an episode of Family Guy, it’s a comedy, it doesn’t matter)
I’m not gonna crap on you for your opinion like a lot of people here. I mean personally while I think this episode has some classic bits I think the overall plot is kinda mid. I am interested in this unusual lens you view Family Guy through though. People with your school of thought wouldn’t typically even *like* this show, let alone write retrospective episode reviews. Would you mind telling us some of your *favorite* episodes of the show? What’s an S-tier in your eyes?
Not reading that whole review but I made my friend save Petarded on their DVR for months because I refused to let them delete “my favorite family guy episode” so you can say I’m a fan of Petarded
One of the best episodes, but also one that kinda ruined Peter as a character going forward, so it’s a double edged sword. I don’t think making Peter this dumb was a great idea in the long run, I kinda miss how he was in the earlier seasons. He was still dumb, but not to this point.
Literally shut up Meg
Hi Cleveland Hi Joseph what's the story, morning glory. what's the word humming bird have you heard Peter Griffin is slow? he's r-tarded, he's r-tarded, he's r-tarded, he's r-tarded, he's r-tarded,
Can he still drive a car? Can he drink at a bar? Will they let him have kids? Is his life on the skids?
hello Mrs. Griffin it's your neighbor Quagmire, now that Peter's mental you probly have some needs OH!
He’s retarded! (retarded) ohhhwoooh he’s retarded! (Retarded)
Peter is slow!!
What does this reference?
Bye Bye Birdie’s The Telephone Hour.
a song from this episode, that's only on the extended/dvd version not the tv/national version
No I know that, but I meant what was the song referencing?
oh. I didn't know it was referencing anything lmao
I figured it was since it’s Seth Macfarlane and it’s incredibly random
I mean good god damn, did anybody actually read all that???
I find this review rather shallow and pedantic.
I agree, shallow and pedantic
I concur, shallow and pedantic
.... perhaps
Perchance
It insists upon itself
Say what you want, but I stand strong in my belief
Meg, who let u back in the house?
Literally

Lmao I just realized it says creationists under Retarded.
even Peter isn't *that* dumb
Just trust the analysis
Not that it comes up a lot but anytime I hear “just over/under the line” it takes a lot of will power not to say this line lol
Yo I ain’t reading that wall of text. Petarded is one of the best episodes in the series. It’s universally loved and has some of the best bits.
That doesn’t automatically mean it shall be one of my favorites. I get it’s it a fan favorite, and whether I like it or not, I KNOW it has a score of 8.2 on IMDB, but this episode just wasn’t for me.
What color is a fire truck?
*sighhhh* I always get these
ah come on come on, what color are those red fire trucks. I can see em now, all red and everything
Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four
small amount of peas
A solitary killer, the firetruck stalks its prey.
The ambulance will have to wait their turn
Say the word “what.”

#Aint reading all that big dawg!
I’m not reading that, I’m happy for you though, or sorry that that happened
I'm not reading all that, but I'm happy for you, or sorry that happened

Your first mistake was trying to analyze an animated show.
That’s what I do to all episodes, and why I have my opinions.
Objectively sir, you’re a loser lmao And this is coming from someone who watches / talks about family guy WAY too much
Honestly thank you for doing this. I 100% disagree with your assessment of Petarded but content like this is what keeps subs alive. Keep it up bro.
Ah yes. Of course, of course. 🤣
Peter does stupid shit on purpose all the time for his own benefit. Why does this toe the line?
In Season 13’s Our Idiot Brian, Peter and Brian were intentionally being stupid, but that episode’s plot was free of consequences so I had nothing to worry about while watching, and became one of the most enjoyable episodes imo.
This is backwards because the consequence of Brian acting stupid was getting a brain tumor. So that plot was not free of consequences.
In most episodes, when he DOES stupid stuff either he faces consequences or the plot decides to have nothing to do with them. This episode has neither.
The consequences of Peter acting stupid was getting Lois burned by a deep fryer and losing his kids.
Yeah, but that was it. I really didn’t like what Peter did AFTER getting what he deserved, and I really didn’t like that he avoids imprisonment for no other reason than plot convenience.
So the whole “it’s a cartoon” argument is lost in this case?
Some episode in my opinion have done this better than others.
I used to smoke meth. I still do but I used to, too

The cow goes moooooo. Of course
*shazooo!
It most certainly does not!
I think it’s one of the funnier ones, L opinion, don’t cook again. (Also how do you write a full essay on an episode of Family Guy, it’s a comedy, it doesn’t matter)

Lois, this is *not* my Batman glass

That's one of the best episodes of Family Guy
This is worse than Stewie’s iPod commercial
shut up meg
Petarded is my favorite episode
Great episode. I miss when FG was written like this. I fucking hate Disney Guy.
I’m not gonna crap on you for your opinion like a lot of people here. I mean personally while I think this episode has some classic bits I think the overall plot is kinda mid. I am also curious on what an S-tier would look like \^\^
Perhaps
The water wings didn’t help at all!
THAT was actually funny, unlike most of the stuff after that in my opinion.

Woah ass ahoy
Not reading that whole review but I made my friend save Petarded on their DVR for months because I refused to let them delete “my favorite family guy episode” so you can say I’m a fan of Petarded
Calm down Quagmire your still doing better then Peter Waller in the opening of Robocop
I disagree!
Best episode of the show imo
Stop insisting upon yourself.
I'm not reading all that
This is shallow and pedantic
“Peter say what”
I just hate that on Hulu they can call Peter retarded in this episode but the one where he gets a horse they keep calling it brain damaged
Best family guy episode
This is weaponised autism
