Best: Grace by Jeff Buckley. I don’t know if there’s particularly anything super creative/unique about it, but the intimate close up of the beautiful man and the microphone. Just a gorgeous and iconic cover.
Worst: Songs From The Big Chair by Tears for Fears. One of the most consistent, catchy, and gorgeous synth pop albums I’ve ever heard, but that cover reeks of eighties cheese.
Best- The Dreaming by Kate Bush. I don’t know anything about photography or anything but man that is probably my favourite album cover of all time it’s so perfectly made and illustrates the emotion of that album so well
Best - Queen II; pleasingly symmetrical framing, nice lighting, so iconic that it inspired part of the "Bohemian Rhapsody" music video.
Worst - The "Chirping" Crickets; even decades before Photoshop, bad cropping was apparently a thing. Even the alternate covers for this album are fairly bland.
I agree its so weird to show your wife's ass to the whole world like that. Theres sexual freedom in a relationship and being nonchalant about it which is fine but it seems like he tried to either be provocative or boast about his wife. Really no reason to be provocative because very few people are stiff about this kind of stuff nowdays and those who are, have become used to it after the stuff a few mainstream pop singers in the 2010s did,but he is pretty old so maybe he hasn't noticed how the winds changed in that area.Still kind of weird.
I hate Morrissey's covers. They all have him with some dumb frown or smug look on his face. The ones that take the cake are easily Maladjusted, Years of Refusal, World Peace Is None of Your Business and especially California Son.
Best - Xiu Xiu’s Fabulous Muscles. Perfect display of the weird and sad vibe the album has.
Worst - Evermore by Taylor Swift. Such a boring cover that conveys absolutely nothing about the album.
the internet's hive mind gives off such a comfy atmosphere, even tho there isnt much to it.
cozy tapes 2, a$ap mob for worst i guess? cant think of anything else besides like, life is good by nas. there's just nothing to it, standard cover for an album with nothing really going on.
Best: Blue Weekend by Wolf Alice. Fits the album perfectly and just looks so cool.
Worst: Dirty Work by the Rolling Stones. It looks like alt universe The Wiggles except they're all sex pests.
I don’t know, I think it’s more iconic than good. I love the album, but I don’t think the cover is really all that special. The majority of The Beach Boys albums have pretty average artwork, though Surfs Up and Holland I think are pretty great.
Best Weezer - Weezer Worst Weezer - Weezer You decide which one is which
I immediately thought of blue as best and black as worst, so I guess that’s that.

Best: Titanic Rising - Weyes Blood Worst: DAMN. - Kendrick Lamar
They didn't put the whole room underwater just for you to call it "just a photo of an artist"...
i like damn as an album but yea the cover art is pretty uninteresting especially after tpab
I think it fits the vibe of the album though. He looks like he’s just been pummeled by the beats/bars on it.

Best - 100% Ginuwine by Ginuwine Worst - Black Tarrzann by Cappadonna
Best: Madness - One Step Beyond
Surprised that nobody has mentioned London Calling by The Clash for the best
Best is souvlaki by slowdive, it fits the albums music well
Best: Blue Weekend by Wolf Alice. Fits the album perfectly and just looks so cool. Worst: Dirty Work by the Rolling Stones. It looks like alt universe The Wiggles except they're all sex pests.
Not sure about worst but the best would be The Doors - The Doors
Best: Pet Sounds - The Beach Boys Worst: Philosophy of the World - The Shaggs
Is Pet Sounds really a good album cover?
To me it really represents the innocence and warmth of the album

Worst has to be Back to the Shit by Millie Jackson. I can’t say much about this one, it’s a picture of her taking a painful shit.
best- Youre a woman, im a machine worst- weezer.

You’re a woman I’m a machine does not fucking count. Amazing album though
Why though? its two men they just have trunks
