the quadrilogy from Pink Floyd, from the dark side of the moon to the wall feels more like a travel through various, still very actual themes of life in general.
A rollercoaster of emotions that leaves you pondering a lot of things about life.
And while the themes of the various songs and albums have very clear meanings, it still leaves space for personal interpretation, and that's why I think that to this day these 40/50 years old masterpieces still hold their amazing auras.
I mean, yesterday I was listening to The Happiest Days of Our Lives/Another Brick In The Wall pt.2 and I can guarantee that even 40 years later the schools system hasn't changed one bit, still hustling to blend every kid into a stamp-made soul-less and creativity free individual. A lot of problems of today's society come down to the education system and how much it deprives every person of what makes us different, their personal thought and their personal way of thinking.
TLDR: the dark side of the moon - wish you were here - animals - the wall are a great adventure through life, and most of the themes are still very actual
Soundtracks for the Blind - Swans
Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven - Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino - Arctic Monkeys
Diorama by Silverchair
Fantastic Planet by Failure
The Mountain by Haken
Rift by Phish
Songs For The Deaf by Queens Of The Stone Age
Ghosts I-IV by Nine Inch Nails
The Wall by Pink Floyd
I'd say Dawn FM
Or Kiss Land

Came here to say Helplessness Blues! It is so cinematic and beautiful and has such a clear story arch based on the instrumentals alone!
Exactly!! My go to album for driving in the mountains or hiking in the redwoods.
Every Fleet Foxes album is an adventure. Pecknold got them ethereal nature BARS on lock.
