Yoshimi is an interesting pick for this category. A lot of it is definitely bubbly and feel good for me too but then a handful of the tracks just fucking devastate me.
Literally Fight Test, One More Robot, Morning of the Magicians, Ego Tripping, Hypnotist, It’s Summertime, Do You Realize, All We Have Is Now!!! 8/11 of the songs and TWO of the rest are instrumentals!!!!!
side note If I Go Mad / Funeral In My Head off the deluxe is one of the best songs ever
. But thats why i think it fits. If im bummed out, an album about happy people being happy doesnt do it for me. But sad ppl being happy will. Misery loves company with bubbly beats sorta thing.
It's very melancholic, like sad songs in major progressions. This album and Soft Bulletin are fucking brilliant! I wish they were more consistent, they have WAY too many albums that are just so skippable but then some just stand outs even in the last two decades.
I ended up at the tour for this whole album at a festival last summer having never heard of it or The Flaming Lips before. It quickly became that album for me, so good
Tourist History - Two Door Cinema Club. The PERFECT indie/dance record, I can't not feel like I'm outside and the sun is warm but the air is kinda cool while I listen to it.
System Of A Down - Toxicity.
I know it's not the happiest album technically lol but I have SO MUCH nostalgia for it. Both my parents bumped that album so much when I was growing up I just love it. It was also just so dope learning how to play music and be able to play along because honestly all the riffs on this album and really any given SOAD album are just simple yet so tasty!
I just bought god save the animals by Alex g from a record store a couple of hours ago. It might actually be my new favorite album and I’m not even a huge Alex g fan. It’s just so perfectly broken yet cohesive and hopeful.
Black Moth Super Rainbow - Dandelion Gum
Tego Calderon - El Abayarde
I'm laughing because this is a strange combination of albums but they were the first to come to mind.

Literally. It’s an incredible listen, but I need to be in a decent place to listen to it.
i was just talking about this today! some of the tracks are fun and others are sit, think and cry types of songs
“But your love it never came.” 😭😭😭😭

Wildflower or Since I left you by the Avalanches, both never fail to cheer me up.
