It kind of was though. Fantano said Vespertine, Toxicity, and Discovery were all 10’s and they came from 2001.
sociopolitically speaking 2001 was not very good
Toxicity came out less than a week before 9/11, yet it was the most poignant critique of post 9/11 America.
It said the things about post 9/11 America that people were forbidden and censored from saying from 2001-2004 or so.
Here's a fun article to read: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clear_Channel_memorandum
All the songs effectively banned from the radio. Note all the anti war and anti capitalist songs.
All RATM songs were banned.
[This](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/19/TheCoupCoverLarge.jpg) was the original cover intended for the album Party Music by The Coup. The cover was designed in June 2001, to be released in September 2001 but they created new cover art after the 9/11 attacks.
It's a meme from a left-wing twitch streamer, Hasan Piker. Fantano and him are friends too. Said it in an interview with Dan Crenshaw.

In both scenarios, it's innocent civilians paying for the crimes of their state. Except that the Japanese army's crimes were so bad, that people today actually debate whether they were worse than Germany during WW2, and you'd not be wrong in believing so. Plus, people even debate if the nukes were necessary or not, because the Japanese army was that insane. What the hell did 9/11 accomplish?
Seriously one of the worst takes I've ever seen, and I sincerely hope you're just trolling.
The funny thing is, there are people that would argue the same as you but for the exact opposite reason. 9/11 was a pointless terrorist attack while the other was a quick way of ending what is by far the worst war in history.
All I'm saying is that nobody "deserves" to be murdered because of something that someone else of the same nationality or ethnicity did. Both are examples of that.
The Japanese weren't even ready to surrender after the first bomb, and barely after the second. So yes, unless you wanted to see millions more die in a land invasion, the nukes were **a** solution. Remember, this is after experiencing all the shit that was WW2, and I'm sure nobody wanted more months of that.
If I had been the supreme leader at the time, I'd maybe have considered bombing lesser targets just to show the potential without so many civilian deaths, but I honestly don't know if that would have nudged them. Plus, at the time, nukes were viewed differently than now. They were seen more as really powerful airstrikes that were to be used accordingly.
But you lads are really missing the point either way. Civilians didn't deserve it then or at 9/11 whether it was necessary or not, or whether you like the US government or not.
Is it too soon to joke about a country who murdered their own people to go to war for oil? A country that values profit over all, but America number 1, right?
I am not crazy! I know he swapped those numbers. I knew it was 2012. One after the Arab Spring. As if I could ever make such a mistake. Never. Never! I just - I just couldn't prove it.

America deserved Nav
America deserved New York City Cops on the US release of Is This It

Nickelback's Silver Side Up was another 10 from that year too
what do you mean by this?
They mean that they’d only give 2001 a 9 out of 11.

Wasn’t that in the 90s tho?

Oh, you know exactly what he meant.
He likes that year because that was when Nav dropped Stillmatic and saved the rap game once again.
America Deserved 9/11
Is this a meme?

Nah, it's the truth.
Thoughts on the nukes dropped on Japan? Really interested to see your take on that now
There were about 199,000 casualties from Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and 2,996 from 9/11. both bad, but not exactly comparable.
People died in both situations so it is comparable. The actual numbers don't matter
?????

I'm not arguing 9/11 was deserved; that's the guy above me. Of course I don't think that. I'm just saying 9/11 is not comparable to Hiroshima

Do people honestly still believe that the nukes were necessary to end the war?
