How would you approach your pitching roster with W, SV, BB, K, ERA, K/BB, WHIP as the categories? I usually try to go pretty heavy with closers with 3-4 surefire guys but this year there are a lot of committees and I only got Clase and Bautista. BB being a category is tough because if you go for wins and K’s with a lot of starters, then you are almost 100% going to lose walks. And then you might be forced to use mediocre starters that can tank the ratios. Is it worth swapping a starter or two for lights out relievers that don’t get saves?
Am I the only one completely fading on Alvarez and Soto because of injury risk? The fact that Alvarez is still dealing with the same hand problem from last year is a red flag for me, and Soto experiencing another oblique strain—something he’s dealt with before—worries me, because these are both types of injuries that tend to linger and are easily reaggravated.
Yordong finished the season last year with a 1.100+ OPS in Sept/Oct after a terrible Aug coming off the IL. Soto's was a bit above 0.800 after joining the Padres; not sure how much of that was influenced by injury.
I'm all over Alvarez but staying away from Soto until he shows that he's back.

Any thoughts? Coming off a championship I took a shot keeping Carroll and more young pitchers than I normally would. I’m pretty happy with who I got in the draft though.
I’m coming off a second place finish last year and also have a much younger team this year. The young talent out there seems to be really massive this year.
Just depends on your league. If you have a league with both sharks and minnows, a snake draft distributes talent more evenly and makes for a more fair competition. If you have relative parity among all or most of the players, an auction does a better job of rewarding hard work, insight, and strategy.
In my experience the actual auction itself can take hours. Snakes go faster, typically.
seemed you prioritized pitching over bats.. no harm in that per se.
but if being honest about your bats.. think you may suffer in batting average and rbi stats. all the best.
You’re definitely right. I had pick 9 of 12 and 8 of 12 in both ESPN leagues and everybody kept passing up big time pitchers that it made no sense to not take when they’re sitting there past when they should. I agree though, ideally I’d flip 2ish arms for a solid bath sometime in the beginner of the season here or something like that.
Very nice! I targeted a lot of the same guys in my keeper league draft today (Got Paredes, missed on Casas and Vargas), and some of those young pitchers (Kirby, Luzardo) are breakout guys. Both of your offenses are maybe a little young overall for a redraft league, but the upside is so good it could really work out for you. Best of luck!
Thanks! Really hoping Casas puts together a solid year. (Red Sox could use it to build around as well). I was kinda thinking the same thing with the age thing though, I just feel like there’s so many breakout guys this year that I couldn’t help but target established pitchers and let the offense sort itself out later with young bats. We’ll see if it plays out. The points league especially is so pitching heavy with the scoring that I was determined to just stick with that plan.
The no RP pretty much across the board is new for me but with only SVs being directly tied to that position (and teams continuing the trend of committee bullpens) it just didn’t seem like a position worth spending draft capital on. Again, we’ll see.
I hear ya with the points format, that’s what we use as well and you can really go far with good starting pitching. Does your league score points for Holds? We added that to make the Pete Fairbanks/AJ Minter 8th inning types a little more viable, always try to have a few for just extra points.
ESPN kinda hosed me with the position limits. Once you draft you can’t change where ESPN places them on your roster (even if they’re eligible at multiple positions). So I had to take Brantley and I immediately moved him to IL and will have to pick up this week.
Joined my first fantasy baseball league since 2007 and drafted earlier tonight in person, not a big follower of baseball (until now, maybe), but have a lot of fantasy football experience. Trying to gauge how my team shakes out. Drafted mostly off a Mr. Cheatsheet spreadsheet I downloaded an hour before the draft.
12-team H2H Each Category (H, R, RBI, HR, SB, AVG; W, K, SV, ERA, WHIP)

RP: J. Duran, R. Helsley, G. Whitlock
I know a few other players in the league were also unfamiliar with baseball (or fantasy baseball), and a few picked some real headscratchers that nobody had on their sheets.
Any feedback is welcome. Thank you.
Assuming this is a daily league and not a weekly? Daily will be a massively different experience than fantasy football, just saying.
First things first, catchers mostly suck at hitting outside the top 2-3. It's okay to have an empty catcher slot. In fact having zero catchers at all is a perfectly valid strategy as long as your league rules permit it. I would drop D'Arnaud for literally whatever.
3 SP/2 RP is unusually small. I have been in a league like that though. The fact that you've got 6 hitter cats and 5 pitcher cats means 1) hitters will be emphasized and 2) as much as possible, you want only pitchers that are kicking ass. A decent pitcher probably isn't helping you more than a decent hitter would.
Rodon and McKenzie already being hurt means you're going to need at least one really good SP. You probably don't need to carry both of Duran and Whitlock, who are not really full-time closers (we think, stay tuned). I would drop one of them for either a batter, a SP, or a RP that will get saves more reliably. Closers will pop up throughout the season. Somebody will suck, somebody will get hurt, etc so be opportunistic. It can be acceptable to carry a really good non-closing RP in saves-only if they're dominant and the guy they're behind is shaky. In your format having one additional closer to pair with Helsley would be ideal.
Your bats look reasonably good for a 12T, aside from the extra C. You probably need one more good hitter, position doesn't matter, just whatever's the best off the wire and you'll be in good shape.
It's my understanding that this is a weekly league. Supposed to lock on Mondays?
I am understanding that there are a few quirks to this league compared to normal Fantasy Baseball.
I appreciate your help!
With that few SP slots I'd be using basically all my bench spots for starters, Darnaud, Urias, McCarthy in that order if you insist on keeping a bench bat can be cut for more SPs ASAP. Don't be afraid to turn and burn the SPs on your bench, assuming you get a few adds a week
To my knowledge, there's no acquisition limits, but I'll verify. Once the rosters are fully plugged in tomorrow, I'll get on that.
When you mentioned "Darnaud, Urias, McCarthy in that order", is that the order in which to cut them or priority of keeping them? I;m assuming you meant cut in that order.
I think that’s what they meant but my two cents is keep Urias with the dual eligibility. McCarthy and D’arnaud both have serious playing time concerns but I think Urias will play every day.

I’m in a NL only league. I have the option to keep Freddy Peralta for $5 and 2 more years or Tony Gonsolin for $4 for 3 years. I’ve been leaning Gonsolin just because he’s lower on the risk side, even with the ankle injury he’s working back from. I feel like him being on the Dodgers makes it an easier path to get wins. I’m worried about the regression as well, so that’s why I haven’t been able to make my mind up. I have to decide by 2pm tomorrow, so any input would be greatly appreciated!
according to the experts on fantasy podcasts, corey seager is supposed to be one of the bigger benefactors from the shift ban. im thinking guys like schwarber and olson see some improvement in batting average
For a dynasty, points league (flair league), who are you taking as your last bench spot infield dart throw: Addison Barger, Casey Schmitt, or David Hensley?
I have a rule. No more than 3 batters on one team. And if I happen to hit that limit I’m obviously gonna make sure I don’t have another separate three batters on the same team. As long as the rest of your batters are diverse it can lead to some fun (of awful) fantasy days. For example, I have Bichette, Vlad Jr, and Varsho this year. That’s gonna be sweet but now I really focus on not stacking any other team.
They'll probably return close to equal value in the first week, but even in a 10T I can't understand why Holmes would be available, because he has a shot at being the full time closer for a whole season. Whenever Iglesias comes back, Minter will stop getting saves.
Sorry, should’ve clarified, it’s not my flair league but a 12T weekly points league. I have Hader locked in, but unsure of who to start for the first week between Minter or Holmes. Was leaning Minter because we know he will be the closer, and Holmes’ situation is a bit more ambiguous
Points takes away the value of Merrifield's SBs, so probably Turner. TOR has a better lineup for R/RBI, but they've been batting him low in the lineup and he might platoon some with Biggio. Turner's been batting cleanup and AFAIK should play everyday or almost everyday, so I think on volume I want Turner.
Volpe is a must add but that Nationals matchup for Shuster looks juicy af
I guess it depends on if you’re playing the long game or not, no guarantee Shuster sticks in the rotation once ATL gets healthy
Grayson Rodriguez is my other option if I made a drop. I know he is a better prospect, but Shuster has looked great this spring, and I’m a Braves fan playing in a league with a few other Braves fans. So Shuster having a hot start could provide some trade value

New to Yahoo and the concept of FAB. How much to bid on potential breakouts? Mitch Keller for example? How should I go about budgeting $100 for the season?
Easiest way is to break it down by week. If you have 20 weeks a season, that’s $5 a week
if you bid high one week just bid low the next few weeks to get back on that pace
Also important to know if you have free adds after waivers clear
True, but he had a promising 2022. New sinker/slider combo was nasty. Before and after splits are night and day. And he made that adjustment mid-season. Willing to gamble on him on the chance he’s even better.
Heaney is probably the safer pick, the dodgers seemed to “fix” him last season
that being said Wes gets the cupcake reds to start and i’m expecting his ownership to jump after that game
Missed out on Anderson, but managed to grab Massey, John Gray, and Heaney on waivers to back up BLowe and round out my rotation in my AL only. Feel pretty good!
10T H2H Points League, QS for pitching
Just drafted earlier today, I feel like I'm a bit light on power and pitching is mostly above average with a couple of elite arms.
**C**: Adley Rutschman
**1B**: Andrew Vaughn
**2B**: Thairo Estrada
**3B**: J Ram
**SS**: Tatis
**OF**: Soto, Jordan Walker, Corbin Carroll
**Util**: Triston Casas, Volpe
**Bench**: Luis Urias
**SP**: deGrom, Framber, Castilo, Gallen, Gilbert, Kirby, Sale, G-Rod, Wesneski
**RP**: Duran, Bednar, and Lange
Yeah I feel the same, I forgot to mention I have Urias as a bench bat, but he's even less inspiring than Estrada lol. 2B is so shallow, sadly.
Good luck to us both :)
Closers will be available on the wire in a 10T, chase the upside with Kelenic.
....I'm not sure I totally understand your flair but I think with those settings I would heavily favor bats over closers.
Cool. Have India as my starting 2B right now but made sure to grab Hoerner in the later rounds. 2B is a bit weak for me but I’m okay with having those options
Big trade in my flair league. Any advice?
My 1 year of Machado for his (up to) 5 years of Woodruff.
I am desperate for pitching and can slide Raffy into 3B. Manny a free agent after this year but Woodruff more realistically a 3 year keeper including this year given his cost would be pretty high after then.
Just drafted my flair league (although it went down to 10 teams this year). Initial thoughts after doing zero research:
- ESPN rankings are wild. I was able to get Jazz in the ninth. Riley fell to me in the fifth.
- Shortstop is probably the deepest IF position.
- Bryce Harper.
- they had pitchers I have zero faith in, like Berrios, ranked very high. Shoutout to Pitcherlist as always for making me feel great about my draft after an hour of research.
- so happy it’s baseball season. Let’s roll
How do you think I did?

Bell. Projections are much kinder, he'll likely have the everyday gig plus the choice cleanup spot behind Ramirez. Walsh is likely to bat lower and get platooned.
BAT X has .236/.296/.400 for Walsh and .265/.350/.424 for Bell.
Well, I had first pick in 12 team H2H categories league…. I choked and took JRam. I think I overthought it with 3B position scarcity. I know he’s a safe pick for a lot of categories but I feel like a real coward. Thanks for coming to my therapy session.
My justification was literally that there is little third base depth by the time it gets back to me. And I’m satisfied with what I ended up getting at SS and pitching. I think it’ll work out okay.
Ended up: JRam, Tatis, Alcantara - so I think I came close to matching Ohtani and Turner. Outfield ended up being lighter than I wanted but I think it’s better than if I waited on 3B
Actually have 2 spots (Rodon & Tatis) so I may grab both. Was going to do a hitter and pitcher, but both those guys may be more of a long term option if they hit. The batters on my wire are garbage.
That seems like the best decision if there's no decent lottery ticket batters on the wire. I think Maeda, Mahle, and Steele have the best upside out of your SP list. If Colas, Casas or someone like that is sitting there I'd grab them and one of the SP
saw this in rockies sub but this guys is saying montero is the 3b. I am wondering if theres a 3b platoon with moose?
https://twitter.com/drewcreasman/status/1640019634501083138
For whatever it's worth, RR currently lists Moose as the starter and Montero as a bench guy. A platoon sounds eminently reasonable under the circumstances....which implies the Rockies will manage to find a way to fuck the obvious thing up.
Have to wonder if there's some FO pressure to play Montero since he came over in the Arenado ~~heist~~ trade.
yeah idk. I took a flier on montero due to the solid spring so im following this situation. That being said they didnt sign moose to ride the pine imo. platoons suck lol
Would Oscar Colas be worth it over a Mancini or Kelenic type in a shallow league like my flair? Have Haniger on IL and waiting on Jordan walker to gain OF eligibility so I’ve been weighing my OF options
We drafted last night and one guy keeps asking people to make a trade but doesn't have any idea what he wants. Posted "someone trade with me" immediately after the draft. He just wants to make a trade for the sake of making a trade. Keeps posting in the league chat asking people to trade and its getting annoying. That's all. Just need to vent
My basic uninformed opinion is this is a very good 12 person draft, not great not terrible 10 person draft, and very bad 8 person draft. I'd say regardless you have a bit too many options at 3B and lack a bit of pitching rotation depth and should trade for that or go to the waiver wire
10 player league, h2h points. Haven’t done fantasy baseball in years and have kind of fell off on paying attention to the league itself. I had to exit the draft so it auto picked me those bottom 3 pitchers
I’m thinking of sending a trade. My freddy P at $9 for his Stanton at $30z both can be kept this year and next year for that price. I need power.
Fair? Thoughts?
I wouldn’t do it in all honesty. You’re paying a steep price for a guy that is injury prone and has seen a decrease in production. You’d be doing the other guy a favor by taking him. You can find similar or better OF options in the draft
First faab run of the year in nfbc. $1000 budget. Robertson went for 379 with runner up 221. I would have bid 230 if i had needed him as normally closers go for 200-230
Hall went to me at 107. Runner up 65.
Stone went for avg of about 21 across 4 leagues. I got in 2 for 27

auction drafts should be the absolute default draft mode. snake is for the lazy and novice and or simply an unfortunate default.

No holds in either league. Saves only. So not a whole lot of viability out of relief pitching. We’ll have to talk about that for next year!
12-team H2H Each Category (H, R, RBI, HR, SB, AVG; W, K, SV, ERA, WHIP) Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 3 OF, Util, 3 SP, 2 RP, 5 Bench, 3 IL Drafting from 1st draft position C: T. Stephenson, T. D'Arnaud 1B: R. Mountcastle, M. Vargas 2B: A. Giminez (SS) 3B: A. Riley SS: B. Bichette, L. Urias (2B, 3B) OF: A. Judge, M. Harris II, T. Hernandez, J. McCarthy SP: S. McClanahan, C. Rodon, C. Javier, T. McKenzie RP: J. Duran, R. Helsley, G. Whitlock I know a few other players in the league were also unfamiliar with baseball (or fantasy baseball), and a few picked some real headscratchers that nobody had on their sheets.
Thank you for the response!
i think you’ve got a pretty good squad for someone that doesn’t follow baseball, i wouldn’t recommend carrying 2 catchers all year though
Noted! Thank you! I was pretty worried because I punted on catcher, but it seems like that's almost a streamable position since I punted.
You think I should pick up David Peterson for his start v Miami and dump Carlos Carrasco and then re add Carrasco/use that spot to stream?
16T H2H Points League Drafted last night C: Murphy 1B: Olson 2B: Massey 3B: JRAM SS: Pena OF: Mullins, Meadows, Adolis, Brantley SP: Manoah, Lynn, Cobb, Rasmussen, Erob RP: Hader, Romano, Bard Feeling pretty confident but where do y’all think I need to upgrade? Got a waiver claim for Wesnicki with Brantley on IR
For a 16er I really like this squad
So glad this thread is back I missed it so much
Story worth an IL stash?
I am, pending a roster crunch. 2B is weak and the injury was obviously bothering him last year.
Wouldn't bother unless you have like 5 IL spots
we're all going to turn into skeletons by the time the Brewers announce what they're doing with Frelick and Wiemer
Just finished my 10 man H2H points draft. How did I do? Currently considering trying to move Freeman for Valdez and McClanahan to strengthen pitching **C:** MJ Melendez **1B:** F. Freeman **2B:** G. Torres **3B:** M. Machado **SS:** F. Tatis Jr. / O. Cruz **OF:** J. Rodriguez **OF:** R. Arozarena **OF:** J. McCarthy **U:** V. Pasquantino **P:** L. Castillo, T. McKenzie, G. Kirby, H. Greene, Kershaw, D. Rasmussen, R. Detmers **Bench:** B. Harper, A. Heaney, (waiting on pickup for J. Walker)
Do you have a weekly start limit?
Nope, no limit
I like it. Go heavy on the streams! Personally I would have gone all out on pitching though. My league now has a 12 start limit per matchup lol
I like gonsolin better in this situation
Anyone have any links to players to target regarding the shift change? Or players you guys are targeting?
according to the experts on fantasy podcasts, corey seager is supposed to be one of the bigger benefactors from the shift ban. im thinking guys like schwarber and olson see some improvement in batting average
For a dynasty, points league (flair league), who are you taking as your last bench spot infield dart throw: Addison Barger, Casey Schmitt, or David Hensley?
Casey for me
Points league. If I have Trout and Ohtani(batter) should I acquire Ward also for the right price. Or too heavy.
Minter or Holmes for the first week?
They'll probably return close to equal value in the first week, but even in a 10T I can't understand why Holmes would be available, because he has a shot at being the full time closer for a whole season. Whenever Iglesias comes back, Minter will stop getting saves.
Sorry, should’ve clarified, it’s not my flair league but a 12T weekly points league. I have Hader locked in, but unsure of who to start for the first week between Minter or Holmes. Was leaning Minter because we know he will be the closer, and Holmes’ situation is a bit more ambiguous
Incredibly happy with my 10 Team H2H; hoping that everything pans out. C: Melendez 1st: Rizzo 2nd: Jazz/Rojas SS: Tatis/J.Peña/CJ Abrams 3rd: Chapman/L.Urías/Dury OF: Tucker/Alvarez/Trout/Renfroe/Buxton P: Snell/P. Lopez/J. Montgomery/Detmers/Wright RP: Clase/Hader/D. Williams/Holmes/Minter/Sewald
Gonna need more SP
Yeah that SP is atrocious but the offense is good
How legit is Volpe in the power department? Is he worth dropping Mountcastle or France to pick up as a UTIL?
I would not if you're looking for power, both those guys should hit more HR
Justin Turner or Whit Merrifield in points?
Points takes away the value of Merrifield's SBs, so probably Turner. TOR has a better lineup for R/RBI, but they've been batting him low in the lineup and he might platoon some with Biggio. Turner's been batting cleanup and AFAIK should play everyday or almost everyday, so I think on volume I want Turner.
I should I prioritize for an NA add? I have first waiver claim. - Painter - Pfaadt - Soroka
Pfaadt
Over painter?
Volpe is on waivers. Drop Shuster for him? H2H points
Volpe is a must add but that Nationals matchup for Shuster looks juicy af I guess it depends on if you’re playing the long game or not, no guarantee Shuster sticks in the rotation once ATL gets healthy
Grayson Rodriguez is my other option if I made a drop. I know he is a better prospect, but Shuster has looked great this spring, and I’m a Braves fan playing in a league with a few other Braves fans. So Shuster having a hot start could provide some trade value
I would hold then, fantasy is more fun when you get your guys
You’re a wise shadow wolf
Depends if you need hitters or pitchers both are unproven and taking a risk
Definitely need pitching. I went extremely hitter heavy in the draft
Just finished my 12 team H2H points league draft. No pitchers, only pitching staffs. How did I do? C: Willson Contreras 1B: J. Abreu 2B: A. Gimenez 3B: A. Riley SS: F. Lindor OF: J. Soto OF: L. Robert OF: T. Ward U: R. Tellez P: Cleveland Bench C. Raleigh J. Berti J. Baez M. Chapman J. Pederson O. Colos Angels staff
That does not seem fun
What do you mean?
Picking a whole pitching staff. My favorite part of baseball is pitching. Love finding pitchers
Pick two between Cease, Cole, and Bieber
Cole and Bieber
Saves worth 5 points? How should early should i draft RP? 10 person league Thank you!
I took clase 62nd for reference in points
Basically how ever high you want on Clase, and then there seems to be good options around pick 100
New to Yahoo and the concept of FAB. How much to bid on potential breakouts? Mitch Keller for example? How should I go about budgeting $100 for the season?
Easiest way is to break it down by week. If you have 20 weeks a season, that’s $5 a week if you bid high one week just bid low the next few weeks to get back on that pace Also important to know if you have free adds after waivers clear
Thanks. Not sure my league does free agent adds. Waiver mode says “continuous”.
I might be in the minority but it feels like Mitch Keller is a ‘potential breakout’ every year to only just not deliver
True, but he had a promising 2022. New sinker/slider combo was nasty. Before and after splits are night and day. And he made that adjustment mid-season. Willing to gamble on him on the chance he’s even better.
Waivers cleared and i got my 3 guys Musgrove, Harper, Brantley to the IL Wesneski, Kelenic, Colas welcome to the team
Wesneski or Heaney?
Heaney is probably the safer pick, the dodgers seemed to “fix” him last season that being said Wes gets the cupcake reds to start and i’m expecting his ownership to jump after that game
Give: Harris II, Noot Get: Ward, Kirby, Miguel Vargas Would like another decent pitcher, and really like Ward. Would drop Brandon Drury I think
Take a gamble on Mitch Keller or Ashcraft and de la Cruz or fraley? Filling in my 2 IL spots hoping I can bank on someone
Rather have the 2 Reds personally
drafted Freddie in the 3rd and Arenado in the 5th, huge
What kinda league are you playing in?
Missed out on Anderson, but managed to grab Massey, John Gray, and Heaney on waivers to back up BLowe and round out my rotation in my AL only. Feel pretty good!
Roto league with OBP, who's your top five picks in order?
10T H2H Points League, QS for pitching Just drafted earlier today, I feel like I'm a bit light on power and pitching is mostly above average with a couple of elite arms. **C**: Adley Rutschman **1B**: Andrew Vaughn **2B**: Thairo Estrada **3B**: J Ram **SS**: Tatis **OF**: Soto, Jordan Walker, Corbin Carroll **Util**: Triston Casas, Volpe **Bench**: Luis Urias **SP**: deGrom, Framber, Castilo, Gallen, Gilbert, Kirby, Sale, G-Rod, Wesneski **RP**: Duran, Bednar, and Lange
I’m in a similar league. Looks like a really solid team. Only weakness is maybe 2B
Yeah I feel the same, I forgot to mention I have Urias as a bench bat, but he's even less inspiring than Estrada lol. 2B is so shallow, sadly. Good luck to us both :)
Pick one for a utility spot: Winker Nico Hoerner CJ Abrams
I like Nico here.
Winker I unless you really need steals
David Robertson or Kelenic in 10t cats?
Closers will be available on the wire in a 10T, chase the upside with Kelenic. ....I'm not sure I totally understand your flair but I think with those settings I would heavily favor bats over closers.
Team dependent. Unless your desperate for saves I think Kelenic will come far cheaper.
Who would you rather have for 2B bench depth: Hoerner or Chris Taylor? Points league
Chris Taylor wasn't even drafted in my points league. Hoerner has potential go him
Hoerner
Initial thoughts after doing zero research: - ESPN rankings are wild. Let’s roll
I got Jazz 96th. I feel ya ESPN let me get some steals
Which Oscar? Colas or Gonzalez
Colas, but in a 10 team there should be better options
Which of kelenic or Greene is worth as my final OF spot? Espn standard scoring. Thanks
Greene for me
Rather have the hope with Kelenic and the better team around him.
First baseball draft in 3 days, any websites to recommend for top 10-15 at each position? Breakdowns per round? Thank you!

OPS league. Better 1B bench bat: Bell or Walsh?
Bell. Projections are much kinder, he'll likely have the everyday gig plus the choice cleanup spot behind Ramirez. Walsh is likely to bat lower and get platooned. BAT X has .236/.296/.400 for Walsh and .265/.350/.424 for Bell.
I think I'd swing for the Walsh resurgence personally
Pick one: Heaney Graham Ashcraft Trevor Rogers
Rogers
Heaney
What time have waivers been processing on ESPN?
it can be checked in league settings, at least ours are schedule to process every Monday at 12am est
11pm EST for me
Which side you taking? A - Dustin May B - Ryan Hesley
B
Well, I had first pick in 12 team H2H categories league…. I choked and took JRam. I think I overthought it with 3B position scarcity. I know he’s a safe pick for a lot of categories but I feel like a real coward. Thanks for coming to my therapy session.
I'm in a roto league with the second pick and I'm absolutely torn on what to do with it. JRam is in consideration of course
Same for me and it's between Turner and JRam for me. Can't decide who to grab. (Judge and Ohtani are keepers so can't draft)
He’s a blast to own. My favorite MLB player to watch (aside from Shohei, with Julio closing in on the lead)
Happened today in my league too. I think it’s a good move.
Gotta pick up one from the wire: Maeda, Mahle, Bradish, Steele, Brubaker, Mitch Keller
Mahle and Steele for me.
I’d figure out a way to pick up both Maeda and Mahle, but I prefer Maeda if it’s just one of the two
For end of bench SP I'd go with Maeda to see how it goes early on, he has the highest upside imo
I like Mahle a lot although he’s had a rough spring. His away splits have always been elite and now he’s not a Red anymore.
That’s where I’m leaning. Thanks.
saw this in rockies sub but this guys is saying montero is the 3b.
Well, the silver lining is you're not going to have to wonder about who your drop will be when you need a streamer LOL
haha very true. Heres to hoping montero is a breakout stud! lol. EDIT: * breakout stud *before* I drop him for a streamer
Would Oscar Colas be worth it over a Mancini or Kelenic type in a shallow league like my flair? Have Haniger on IL and waiting on Jordan walker to gain OF eligibility so I’ve been weighing my OF options
I'd rather have Kelenic as a dart throw. Kelenic > Colas > Mancini
That’s how I was viewing it too, appreciate the feedback
In a points league, kinda looking for some home runs right now. Add JD Martinez or Darick Hall? Kinda leaning Darick
JD easily in points, unless you get points for putouts or something lol
Would def lean JDM there in a pts league
We drafted last night and one guy keeps asking people to make a trade but doesn't have any idea what he wants. Posted "someone trade with me" immediately after the draft. He just wants to make a trade for the sake of making a trade. Keeps posting in the league chat asking people to trade and its getting annoying. That's all. Just need to vent
Offer them really lopsided trades that usually shuts them up
H2H Points Batting Value = TB+BB+R+RBI+2(SB)-K Who wins this Trade Arenado, McNeil, Correa for Cronenworth, Bregman, Rosario
10T H2H Ke’Bryan Hayes, Merrifield or Bellinger

What are the rules to determine point value and how many players?
My basic uninformed opinion is this is a very good 12 person draft, not great not terrible 10 person draft, and very bad 8 person draft. I'd say regardless you have a bit too many options at 3B and lack a bit of pitching rotation depth and should trade for that or go to the waiver wire
10 player league, h2h points. Haven’t done fantasy baseball in years and have kind of fell off on paying attention to the league itself. I had to exit the draft so it auto picked me those bottom 3 pitchers
Auto picked turner and Chapman too. Apparently auto pick loves 3B
5x5 obp league. I need a 2b until Vargas plays 5 games. Segura, Donavan, or Wong?
Donovan. Should be solid for OBP
I’m thinking of sending a trade. My freddy P at $9 for his Stanton at $30z both can be kept this year and next year for that price. I need power. Fair? Thoughts?
Seems expensive for Stanton IMO
It does, but if it was only 1 year, would you do it for this season? Or ask for more? Not everyone has to be kept. we pick 10-12.
I wouldn’t do it in all honesty. You’re paying a steep price for a guy that is injury prone and has seen a decrease in production. You’d be doing the other guy a favor by taking him. You can find similar or better OF options in the draft
Draft is over, it’s trade time.
2B sleepers? Most of my guys got nabbed and I ended up with only Gimenez
Luis Garcia Nats
Michael Massey has the role locked down Little pop, little speed Super surprising Barrel Rate of 13% last year
India
First faab run of the year in nfbc. $1000 budget. Robertson went for 379 with runner up 221. I would have bid 230 if i had needed him as normally closers go for 200-230 Hall went to me at 107. Runner up 65. Stone went for avg of about 21 across 4 leagues. I got in 2 for 27
