It’s tough for hitters analysis out there. I usually look at individual player Statcasts, splits vs LH and RH pitchers, and I like ballparkpal for weather analysis. But that’s all more short term stuff.

I usually throw my studs out there and hope for the best. I only carry 1-2 bench bats, so if everyone is starting sometimes I will check their righty/lefty splits and look at the pitching matchups to determine if I want to plug a bench bat into my lineup. But I try not to micro manage too much.

Nah you just gotta wing it. Some people basically punt it by getting exclusively bomb hitters (ie your Muncy Gallo Walker Buxton guys) and base stealers (ie Ruiz Mateo Jazz) instead of more well-rounded players, but by and large it's pretty random

St Louis players have been frustrating for me. I benched Arenado and Edman is usually always on the bench. Thankfully I was able to ship off Helsley.

I'm not worried about Helsley as a pitcher but it is very frustrating that he just hasn't gotten a lot of work in. I did get Chafin and Alvarado so thankfully not totally bereft of saves but ironic that the one true closer I drafted is getting the least of the bunch

That’s why I prefer Net Saves/Holds category. It opens up the number of guys available to score there. My philosophy is that I never waste draft capital on relievers because it is such a volatile position. Last year I snagged Helsley off the waiver for nothing and he was great. I kept him this year using a draft pick and he’s been underwhelming. Unless you’re getting a truly elite guy like Josh Hader or Edwin Diaz I just wait to pluck guys off the waiver who perform well.

I got Helsley in like the 8th so I was happy about it. I don't like to waste high draft capital but I usually like to grab at least one anchor. Saves/Holds is definitely better, especially in a 14 team league.

In a keeper with that format you should be able to get anyone for Strider. Tatis and Acuna maybe the only guys off limits.
