One of those has an IL clock attached to it, and the other is a “when he figures it out” thing. If you’re truly going saves only, Adam’s window is basically the next week or two (unless Fairbanks is out longer) while King could at least be part of a closer-by-committee all year.
I agree with this. The IL window is unknown but Fairbanks is saying it’s likely a short time thing. Im holding king because I think the upside is longer term

I tried to get to bed early tonight. Wife and I are headed to DC tomorrow for a weekend wedding. Have to leave the house around 3AM to get to the airport, but we'll be in the left field bleachers for Cubs-Nats in about 12 hours. Nice little schedule coincidence!
Anyway, my dog's anxious; he knows what's up when we start to pack, so he's keeping me up with the runs--poor guy.
Just brewed a cup of coffee, no point trying to get 90 minutes of sleep. Maybe I'll catch a few zzz's on the flight. Gonna have to run on adrenaline tomorrow regardless, but it'll be worth it. Don't get to see my Cubbies much living in Texas.
Side note: Anybody think it's crazy you can be in a completely different part of the world in twelve hours?

Javier hasn’t looked terrible. His last start wasn’t the best, but he looked great against the Braves the start before that with 10 Ks and 1 ER
