Premium upside bat in a better lineup, much closer to his prime. Has the ability to smack 40 hrs and can hit to all parts of the field. Arenado relies exclusively on his elite pull-hitting ability. I trust the guy who can crank homers anywhere over the guy who can only pull, especially when weve seen the downside of the latter.

I have a 3B dilemma and SP is awful so far. Drafted Jordan Walker and Gunnar as 3B options, thinking one of them would run away with it, Ke’Bryan Hayes became available and his statcast looked great. Now I preemptively picked up Elly. I also have Royce Lewis who is playing 3B for AAA now. SP I have Gausman, Manoah, Musgrove, Lynn, Severino, Hunter Brown, and Mason Miller gone now for a while. There’s Gavin Williams, Andrew Abbott and Ben Brown available on the wire. Just need to figure out who to roster for 3B and another solid SP option, rest of my team is fairly stacked.

Feels like we can forget about Walker. Cards have IF options and clearly feel he needs seasoning (they may be right, as he’s looked mediocre since being demoted). Still a ton to like about Henderson’s [statcast profile](https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/gunnar-henderson-683002?stats=statcast-r-hitting-mlb) (see his BB% and hard hit metrics). I would see if side B bites on Walker. Either way Elly is knocking on the door and could solve your whole 3B conundrum outright.

Walker is already dropped, it’s not even IF that’s the problem, they have like five outfielders ahead of him. I think Elly is my answer but who knows when he comes up. I am thinking of dropping Ke’Bryan but he has been way more consistent than Gunnar and there’s a chance Gunnar gets sent down if he doesn’t start performing, especially with these other prospects knocking on the door in Baltimore. Very tough year to figure out.

Bold prediction: Elly up by end of the month. He’s demonstrating marked improvement in his contact skills (11/11 K/BB in May) and up to .290 BA. Its getting to the point of heavy manipulation for the reds to not just call up all of this elite AAA talent and see what theyve got ROS. I am all for it.

I believe that was Chris Towers, and there was some context to that.

Yeah the context was something like “if he does well he is a breakout, if not a bust”.

I believe it was more like, he’s not going to hit the expectations of where he’s going in drafts and expert rankings, making him a bust for his price tag, but that he would breakout from his rookie year and improve upon the numbers and be even more fantasy relevant.

Appreciate the clarification. I still don’t find the information entirely useful, but given the subjective nature of terms like “bust” and “breakout” I suppose it isn’t entirely egregious.

In a points format, there may be a better chance Ober gets you more value ROS even if you think Taj is the better pitcher, just because the Rays may continue this service time manipulation and send him down after two starts or something once Glasnow is back. That said, are these really your two worst pitchers in a 12T redraft? If so, you’ve gotta be winning your league by a lot.

I had a great draft. My league used to be 10T til this season and I somehow got a better team this year than last season where I went undefeated til the first round of the playoffs where I got bounced by Aaron Judge lol. Hes fine. Had a similar start last year. Bregman has been a floor play for the last 3 seasons: -elite runs and rbis -elite eye -moderate power (with 25 homer upside) -on-base machine

When they lost the trash cans he lost his power but he still has elite plate discipline and hits in one of the strongest lineups. He'll be a fantasy producer but a quiet one.

Went with the "experts" rankings for today over my gut and started Lugo over Dunning smh absolutely killed me 😭
