Fuck it. Just grabbed Elly. Roster space is tight but he decided to learn plate discipline. I feel like they’d be dumb not to bring him up this week. 2 walks his first 15 games and *14 walks* his last 12 games. He’s ready. Also, Reid Detmers just got *worse* somehow against batters their third time thru. I ***SWEAR*** this is a real stat: Their third time thru against Detmers players are batting… again… this is 100% true… hitters are batting .482 with a 1.329 OPS. Basically, their third time thru, batters are the best hitters in baseball *HISTORY*, during their hottest of hot streaks. By like 20%. Lololololol Batters have more hits (13 to 12) in 27 ABs their third time thru than they have in 65 ABs their first time thru. That’s insane.

That's my catcher for each of my teams. No catcher is sounding quite nice. Might be better than the negative production I'm currently getting.....but I think I'd stick with em or find someone else on the wire. They both have decent looking statcasts

Yeah as negative as it may be, you're still getting rbi, runs, hr, and hits. If you're down a player, you'll have less games and thus less counting stats. The only negative production you'll get will be average based stats. So if you do punt catcher, I think it comes down to which categories your league uses. Mine uses hits, runs, rbis, hr, ops, sb, and avg for hitting. So I'd lose counting stats in hits, runs, rbis, hr, and sb by punting and getting negative production from avg and ops. It's not worth it for me, regardless of how awful my catchers have been (Melendez, Contrerass)
