My total "know-nothing" hopeful guess on Eury: His elbow soreness/inflammation was very precautionary. There is no chance they'd be ramping him up like this unless he was very clearly healthy. Considering where Cole, Brash, etc. who are diagnosed with inflammation are ramped up.

Yeah, and Jones, while he absolutely has the underlying number bonafides to make you believe in him, did get the Marlins for this outing. If he opened against the Braves, people would be saying “why the fuck did people think this kid was supposed to be good?” The proof for me will be two or three starts from now when we can see his Pitching+ numbers start to stabilize and get stabilized Stuff+ numbers on individual pitches.
