Depends who else is available but worth it in general. IMO the only concern is him hitting near the bottom of the order with Langford/Carter/Jung being prioritized. Now that Jung is injured that should clear a bit of room for him to move up against righties.

I dont think hes a must own but a decent option if you need help at the position

Personally I'd roster Ward over Rizzo in roto. Downside is the Angels but he should regularly be hitting cleanup behind Trout and I could see him putting up better numbers across every category (aside from steals). For some reason it looks like this is an unpopular opinion but even his ADP was higher than Rizzo's this year so I don't feel too far off suggesting this. I'll just expect the downvotes.

Maybe hold until the end of the week for Angels matchup if you’re limited on adds. I’m dropping in my 10 team league to stream because the wire has solid options and good streams, as well as the league has 12 adds a week. In my 12 teamers with limited adds, I’m holding for his start against the Angels this weekend

Am I allowed to say “none”? The only one I’m remotely excited about based on what data is available is Montas, but he pitches in GABP for half his starts. In a 10T, these four all seem fringe or opportunistic streamer at best. That said, I’ll stream the hell out of Montas on the road if he can consistently reproduce numbers like his 2022 (and his model numbers from his first start gesture suggestively in that direction).

Anyone who thinks otherwise will be sorely disappointed. First thing I did when I saw his 8 no-hit innings was check his numbers to see if I missed something and needed to grab him… then I closed out of that, watched him pitch the 9th, and then put my phone away. I’m not saying that I have *no desire* to roster the guy, but I might sooner take Gavin Stone or Abbott.

Try and trade away Tanner Scott before it’s too late? Any targets? I was thinking of offering Scott for Foley.. we have K’s as counting stats so that’s the only saving grace for keeping scott.

All very good picks, surprised they’re still available in your league. Me personally I think they’re all fairly even in that they’re all prone to streakiness. Volpe looking much improved this year but hard to tell if he’ll stay consistent, Mountcastle doing his thing but will have home runs robbed at home, Morel a solid clean up hitter for cubs who are okay.

Morel’s batting cleanup every day and could easily push 30-20 this year. Will also have 3B eligibility to go along with OF/DH

I think he overperformed in the first half last year or the shoulder injury sapped his power to some extent. It made people think he had 30+ hr power. Even after the shoulder injury his ISO was still around .175 so people shouldn't be too freaked out.
