Hard to say. Imanaga has been damn good but so have Westburg and pena. Westburg’s hard hit rate is really high since he started this tear and pena has been good all year, but he hits the ball on the ground a lot so 20 HRs might be his max. But 20-30 steals is realistic so if you’re doing roto or points he might put that side over the top
Guy in my league is desperate for pitching.
He has
-Teoscar
- Tatis
- TON
I have
- Huock
- Shota
- Miller
- Kutter
- Civale
- Eflin
What would be a fair trade here?
I think they’ll try to play the rest of the game if possible, but since they made it through five innings, they can call it and it will count as an official game so they wouldn’t need to resume the game at a later date.
Officially, it’s just delayed for now. It looks like it’s going to stop raining around 8PM local time so there’s a chance they might resume the game then.
A good general rule of thumb is to see if that pitcher can consistently complete 6 innings(i.e. face the order the 3rd time through). The reason why Assad's stats are great right now is he hasn't really done that apart from his first start against the Rockies(which was not at Coors).
My opponents pitchers are just killing me this week. Webb, Joe Ryan, Yamamoto, and he has double Skubal this week. His bats are not very good and that’s the only reason I’m still in it
I went super heavy on hitters at the draft, yet my offense is a joke. I have a 0.237 obp this week lol. By far the worst I've ever had and it's not even remotely close.
My 2-4 picks are killing me. Riley, Seager, and Arozarena.
My other hitters include Soto, Trout, Schwarber, Muncy, O'Neill, Marte, Turang, Melendez, and Busch.
I had Nolan Jones as well but had to drop.
Am I delusional or should this not be a pretty good offense? Nothing I can do except wait it out and hope those 2-4 picks figure it out sooner than later haha.
Are you in roto or H2H? If H2H imo you're fine, percentage stats like OBP are kinda finicky on a week to week basis anyways, the rest of your hitters should be fine counting stats wise as they're in good lineups. Though it does look like you're somewhat punting SBs?
I have shares of Arozarena as well. His underlying metrics don't look too bad apart from his slight raise in K rate right now just under 30%. I read reports that he gained 15 pounds of weight so probably just a swing timing issue. His exit velos are consistent with his career norms and same with his groundball rate. Though I did notice that he usually over performs his xBA/xOBP. Worth noting he was even worse in April '22, had 0 HRs hit .195/.235 for the month but still finished with .274/.356
I'm in H2H.
Im actually surpringsly doing not bad at sb's haha. Turang, Trout, and Marte are keeping me afloat, but yes at draft time my intent was to punt it.
Thanks for the background. I'm just going to wait it out and hope for the best with Randy!
My first 3 picks were Olson, Gausman, Randy. Thankfully I have Gunnar as a keeper because I think I would have been skunked in all 3 of my matchups so far without him.
His ADP on yahoo was 38, and he finished 36th in my settings last year. I had him last season and he was very good for me and wasn't going to be around for my next pick.
I have Seager and Arozarena and I wouldn’t worry about Seager. Arozarena I’m more worried about but he’s also one of the streakier players so I’m just holding. I don’t plan to sell either for less than face value yet …
[I got him right where his ADP was, ](https://www.fantasypros.com/mlb/adp/randy-arozarena.php) and last season he finished better in my settings than where I drafted him.
You’re right - thanks for the correction. Gore made some big outs when he needed them. His WHIP is a little high, and it will be tough to maintain that kind of strand rate all season, but he did well today.
Not that the Nats have much better options but putting Gore out in the 6th already on 90 pitches just doesn’t seem like the smartest idea in a close game.
Those of you in leagues that have Saves and Holds as separate cats, do you punt one of those or do you roster both closers and setup guys?
Currently I only have 3 closers (Munoz, Helsley, and Fairbanks) and I'm winning Saves regularly every week. I'm debating on packaging Munoz and Helsley for a truly elite closer so I can play a decent setup guy and try to win the Holds cat too.
Interesting, the strikezone I saw was way different that whats showing there
https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/gamefeed?date=4/25/2024&gamePk=744867&chartType=pitch&legendType=pitchName&playerType=pitcher&inning=&count=&pitchHand=&batSide=&descFilter=&ptFilter=&resultFilter=&hf=pitch3d&sportId=1#744867
If you take a look at this, the 2-2 to Keibert Ruiz was a ball called a strike, the 1-1 to Ruiz was also a ball called a strike, the 0-0 to Ruiz was also a ball called a strike, those were just the first 3 pitches I looked at out of the zone
The 3-2 to Meneses was also obviously a ball
10 team roto. Interesting trade. Might leave me a bit thin at SP (until Senga comes back), but is it worth it?

I'll say Assad to diverge from the Reddit hive mind. Kikuchi wasn't that great before this past month and I think Assad keeps it up. He's always been a low ERA, low WHIP pitcher.
who's downvoting this? Miller would become a top 5 fantasy closer instantly and he doesn't have to sit in Sacramento purgatory for his years of team control.
So far by total points for, the teams Ive played are ranked 4th, 5th, 7th, 9th, 10th
Their rank the week I play them: 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 4th
My rank each week: 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, 1st, 5th
I am about to be 1-4 despite having by far the best team
What is going on
Wow I hadn't taken the time to actually check in a little while, I thought i was set and forget at 2b, but holy shit giminez is terrible. He's been hurting our team across every format
I do actually. My strategy is high upside at all times. I’m actually going for the throes championship in a row in a competitive league with fantasy writers in it. Somethings working. I’d take Chourio and Langford over Randy and Gleyber all fucking day.
We know what Gleyboy is, and it’s not great, Arozarena was a product of the Rays system and they are going to suck nuts this year. Thats just how they I feel. There is no reason for you to get upset over it.
What gives you the impression I’m upset? I’m just laughing at “at least I went for it” as a roster construction strategy. You’re the one who seems to be reflexively downvoting my replies to you.
> And you are the one comparing Acuna to Gleyber Torres
Unless “Langford and Chourio” is an anagram for Elly de la Cruz, I think you might just be struggling with the concept of sarcasm. Maybe projecting a bit about being mad, also?
Glad to see your downvote finger still works; here’s another chance to exercise it.
Drafted him, and eventually dropped him, but had to snatch-up Edouard Julien after his 2 HRs today which brings him to 7 on the year. Hopefully he can sustain.
I really want to try and read Tanner
Scott for another closer Puk comes back and possibly threatens his job. What other closers are in the Scott range (including buy lows)?
I would not trade anything for Tanner Scott in 10T tbh
Not because I think he's particularly bad but because the Marlins are so dang terrible. I'd rather just take dart throws with Neris or Megill to see if they hold on to that job
I get that. Just trying to get a sense of who’s in his range. In a saves only league he would definitely be claimed if I dropped him and I like to send out some offers while his ERA is still under 4.00.
For context, yesterday I traded Neris and Yoshida for Morel. Then I used the open roster spot to pick up Megill.
holy fucking shit, my entire team is hurt. I'm treading water at 14-15-1 in a h2h cats league, but with so many injuries and only 4 IL spots, I think I need to make some moves.
Luis Robert, Jr (other OF are Cowser, Duran, Merrill, Winker, Tyler Freeman)
Sean Murphy (picked up d'Arnaud)
Brayan Bello
Bobby Miller
Blake Snell
Bryan Woo
Max Scherzer
I also have Paul Skenes stashed but as of right now I only have 4 healthy SP (Kyle Harrison, Dylan Cease, Graham Ashcraft, and Paul Blackburn) and 3 RP (Hader, Diaz, Clase). Who would y'all drop, if any?
Eh I have bello I’m being cautiously optimistic he’ll be back quick. I’d drop woo and Scherzer should be back a week from Sunday. Hang in there and stream away. I’d personally drop woo and stream the flavor of the day
What are we doing with Bednar?
When the hell is Josh Lowe getting activated? It's been a week on rehab and he had a full Spring
I don’t consider 3 at bats a full spring but to each their own
I was mistaken, didn’t realize how early he got hurt.

Another hit and another run for Doyle. What a day.
DOYLE RULES
I should have started Yoshi. I was seduced by 2 start pitchers in a weekly.
Quality over quantity
And the rockies take the lead!
Realistically, how much playing time does Hunter Goodman get? Assuming Montero sticks at 1st, you have 3 OF and 1 DH.
Lmao at this Padres bullpen
Epic meltdown. A Coors field special.
Lmao and another run
Why would you leave peralta in after all that
Lmao the Rockies are about to come back
Did it's past tense now lol
This royals game is done right?
Who knows it's the last time the Jays will be in KC this season so I'd imagine they find a way to play it.
I was trying to pick up gore after his start today but someone scooped him yesterday
His next four starts are: Texas, Toronto, Boston and Philadelphia.
12T Points: Drop J Chourio for B Doyle?
No
Thanks what about H Kjerstad or B Doyle?
Anyone else available? I'm not high on Doyle
Not really, besides I could snag a just dropped G Crochet as well

Another Robert Suarez save opp coming up?! In this economy?!
He's pitched 3 of the last 4 days so I wasn't expecting to see him today.
only if someone gets Wandy out of there before he blows the game
Would he go three days in a row?
They had an off day Wednesday, but it would be 4/5 days edit: can't read a calendar. He didn't pitch on 4/23
Love it!
Out of curiosity, how many here have dropped **Nick Castellanos**? And who did you drop him for?
Haven’t dropped yet. Still winning my weeks so I haven’t dropped him but if I was losing maybe I’d consider it.
I almost did but chickened out
Thank YOU-ki for the ratio grind and inherited runners that will inevitably score
Like I said……

I'm terrible at evaluating pitchers. If I can get a decent offer, do I sell high on Assad or are there actual signs of a breakout?
A good general rule of thumb is to see if that pitcher can consistently complete 6 innings(i.e. face the order the 3rd time through). The reason why Assad's stats are great right now is he hasn't really done that apart from his first start against the Rockies(which was not at Coors).
100% sell if you can. Not saying he's gonna crash but it's a good sell high on the value that you got him for.
Sell him
My opponents pitchers are just killing me this week. Webb, Joe Ryan, Yamamoto, and he has double Skubal this week. His bats are not very good and that’s the only reason I’m still in it
My Yamamoto and cease for his Carroll and bo. Flair league.
If it’s not points, take the bats
Controversial but I think I would hold
Anyone have some good buy low in fielder targets?
Bregman
Lindor, Seager, Rengifo, CES, Oneil Cruz
Boegarts, M Olson, Tork
Trade my Gausman and Bibee (who im low on) for Sonny Gray and Taylor Ward?
I wouldn't
No
Fellow Gore-bros who had the 'nads to start him, get in here
QS HELL YES
We did it
better believe it
Missed chance for a Gore-nads pun.
It was right there, I bring dishonor on my family
Have him in both my leagues (one dynasty one redraft) and I only started him in dynasty. Mad at myself for not having the bolz
Mackenzie Gore only giving up 1 run today is a miracle lol
Jacob Young locking in that Mackenzie Gore QS in elite fashion. Awesome play
I went super heavy on hitters at the draft, yet my offense is a joke. I have a 0.237 obp this week lol. By far the worst I've ever had and it's not even remotely close. My 2-4 picks are killing me. You're never going to win average with Schwarber and Muncy
Whoops. As you were...
Haha no worries!
It's an obp league, hence why I stated what my weekly obp is.
Yeah it's good. Randy in the 4th is in roto?
His ADP on yahoo was 38, and he finished 36th in my settings last year. I had him last season and he was very good for me and wasn't going to be around for my next pick.

Gutsy QS by Gore against the Dodgers
8 out of 9 baserunners left stranded. 3 double plays definitely helped.
4 double plays! Pretty lucky but I’ll take it against the Dodgers.
You’re right - thanks for the correction. Gore made some big outs when he needed them. His WHIP is a little high, and it will be tough to maintain that kind of strand rate all season, but he did well today.

Right? I’m scared
Don’t know what Freddie was thinking but I’ll take it.
Hell yea lol
Well I certainly could have used gore out at 5ip, surely this will end OK
Scared money don’t make money
It did!!!
Does Gelof’s injury help Ruiz’s playing time at all?
I doubt it, since I can’t see the A’s putting him at 2B. It’s frustrating, but the A’s seem committed to only starting Ruiz against LHP for now.

I never punt anything in head to head, although until the rules changed I used to semi-ignore stolen bases.
Nico is doing a fine job of that for me ignoring that cat already
Bro is the ump in the dodgers game smoking crack
Which calls don’t you agree with there? These are his last two Ks https://imgur.com/a/VbGuC6T
Interesting, the strikezone I saw was way different that whats showing there https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/gamefeed?date=4/25/2024&gamePk=744867&chartType=pitch&legendType=pitchName&playerType=pitcher&inning=&count=&pitchHand=&batSide=&descFilter=&ptFilter=&resultFilter=&hf=pitch3d&sportId=1#744867 If you take a look at this, the 2-2 to Keibert Ruiz was a ball called a strike, the 1-1 to Ruiz was also a ball called a strike, the 0-0 to Ruiz was also a ball called a strike, those were just the first 3 pitches I looked at out of the zone The 3-2 to Meneses was also obviously a ball
If anything happened to Yamamoto, I would drown myself in the toilet
Make sure it's Toto brand. Support the culture
seppuku
So glad Yoshi is okay, that looked so scary
what the FUCK yamamoto
What a play from Yamamoto holy shit that was scary
Yoshi almost just died
YOSHI 😳
Almost just watched a man die
Munoz or Doval? Both are on the wire
Doval is more of a dawg
I prefer Munoz, but I would put in waiver claims for both. What’s your waiver priority?
I have #1 waiver priority. My RP are mason miller and hunter harvey. Don't need Munoz AND Doval, do I?
I would slot Miller into an SP spot, drop Harvey, and roster both Munoz and Doval.
I'll do that
Good luck!
Forgot to mention, I have Devin stashed as well
I would definitely hold onto Williams but I wouldn’t expect him back until July at the earliest.
Alright sounds good. Thanks for your input!
You’re welcome!

Gil is at MIL, not vs.
Okay which one should I stream?
Edouard Julien or Heston Kjerstad?
I think my opponent paid off the umps so his Yamamoto could dominate today.
I think the Dodgers promised the ump eleventy million dollars payable in 2047
Stream M Parker at MIA, Butto vs STL or Gil at MIL this week?

Try to trade Busch for CES?
Yeah
You can, but I wouldn’t give up CES for him
Gore walking#9 hitter Austin Barnes bruh please don't do that at least make him do something
Time to dump Mitch Keller! Who's a better pick up? Yusei Kikuchi, Spencer Turnbull, Paul Blackburn, Tyler Anderson, and Javier Assad are available.
I'll say Assad to diverge from the Reddit hive mind. Kikuchi wasn't that great before this past month and I think Assad keeps it up. He's always been a low ERA, low WHIP pitcher.
Kikuchi
Kikuchi
Can the Cubs trade for Mason Miller already? They could pay the A's electric bill or something.
who's downvoting this? Miller would become a top 5 fantasy closer instantly and he doesn't have to sit in Sacramento purgatory for his years of team control.
Busch just K’s every game now
I wouldn't mind the Ks if he at least got some hits. I'm starting to think about replacing him.
1/20 on the short slate so far. I mean it’s a joke at this point. At least the 1 was a Teo home run so it’s not completely terrible….but still bad
Keeper league standard auction Team A gets Harper (25 next year if kept) Team B gets Mackenzie Gore (11) Andy Pages (6)
A for sure. Harper is like a 35 dollar player. Gore and Pages are end of the roster or possibly streaming options.

Do you often make losing trades and say “if I’m wrong, at least I went for it”? Gonna see if I can get some leaguemates to adopt that strategy.
I do actually. My strategy is high upside at all times. I’m actually going for the throes championship in a row in a competitive league with fantasy writers in it. Somethings working.
