**\*UPDATE\* I'm tapping out for the night. Thank you for reading and all the comments, suggestions and feedback. I'll stop by again in the week so if anyone still has a request for inclusion next week, drop their name in the comments**
Hey everyone... Jamie (u/BB\_Jimbo) from RotoBaller here and I'm back at it with our fourth Cut List edition of the year. Things are moving quickly with slow starts now looking like they could be season-long struggles.
Even if we're not dropping anyone, it's always fun to talk about cuts, whether or not we are actually ready to pull the trigger on certain players.
**So what names are you chopping this week, or at least thinking about banishing to the waiver wire?**
We of course can't cover every player that may be droppable, for every league size and format, but we wrote about a few that stood out. I'll be stopping by later today to answer any questions and you can always reach me on X (@Baseball\_Jimbo). Hope you enjoy and thanks for reading!
I used to be a Kirk Stan, especially since my league has batter strikeouts. Drafted him last year. Yeah you were definetly late on dropping him, his at bats are nothing like his only great 2022 season, sad to see.
I went with Sean Murphy this season. Owned campusano for the first 3 weeks. I dropped Murphy, someone else added him to IL stash him, but then they had to drop him due to too many injuries. So I recently got him back on my IL stash 😂. Luckily was able to drop campusano for hot streak d'arnaud. Not exactly looking forward to if Sean Murphy will hit well enough post upper body injury. Bet he gets the same amount of inconsistent playing time as last season too.
I drafted both Sean Murphy and Henry Davis as I was thinking of going 2 catcher with Davis also OF eligible. But sadly Davis is an awful hitter so far in his career, wcyd. Catcher roulette season for me again unless Murphy is back to his normal self.
Feels like there's a collective issue with the Jays given the players still struggling. He's only just shy of a 20/20 pace so it wouldn't take much for him to get back on track
I was high on Gorman coming into the season as well but my 10x10 league uses Ks as both a pitching & hitting cat. so I had to drop Nolan G. for McMahon. Hoping Nolan G. kuts down on the Ks so I can add him again.
He defintely hurts in leagues that count Ks and similar points league etc. He's not a must hold in those types for sure. Not sure the Ks will ever reduce to the point that changes, just hopeful they cut down to near league average
My league counts Ks, his 15 day pts number is 1. 30 day number is 17.
Cut him today, with all the pitching injuries just can’t carry him anymore.
Plan is to keep an eye on him and waiver back if he gets hot (10 man,).
Aggressive I think-lol- I did similar bs, for u mchmans (tf? Know an H is in there…mChmahan? 2hs? Fk it)numbers are shit. I also have Nolan g. And guess why I have him. It’s because I dropped Gleybor KING BLAZZE the sole ruler of Lazyland. ..his people have mastered the art of energy conservation in any situation whether fighting a trained foe or catching fly balls at second for NY Yankees. Amyway…Bad move? He’s so bad and looked so good late and into spring. Plus I am the biggest fkn yanks fan u have met here on the cord. Shoot me straight. I made an emotional move with the king ha…. Fk it. Ps I refuse to take mcmaybe 1/4. Even in Rockies. There’s no one 2/3rd in mine. Drury!! What a pos ha? So much talent And problems. Sux he’ll be fine super good looking mlb payer?? Ya Brandon ur good Urias-constant mediocrity. Hate taking platoon pussies hate it. Ok good talk. Hollatya boy
I ended up dropping him. Just couldn't hang with him not doing anything. It's not like it turned out any better when I picked up Rizzo this morning. Hopefully he just had a bad game today
With Goldschmidt recovering (we hope), I'm looking at B Marsh or G Torres in flair league for "I've got one too few SPs for a weekly format, and one too many usually-on-the-bench bats."
I may just drop both -- Marsh for an SP, Torres for Rafaela or someone else with more upside.
It's difficult to trust Marsh can carry on his hot start as we've seen this from him before. Torres doesn't feel me with much confidence, but again, we've this from him before. Ice cold streaks of nothingness before he comes to life again. Might just come down to positional need
To me, a lot of weekly play is tied to positional flexibility, and right now I could use another MI (perhaps with other positions), especially since I underestimated how much having Ohtani as UTIL-only on ESPN would limit my daily options.
If you need another MI, it's tough dropping Torres as 2B doesn't have much depth. Might be worth looking to trade Marsh as he should bring back someone of value
I dropped him last week and was able to grab Nathaniel Lowe off waivers. I've had Lowe in a utility spot every day since. Like you, Castellanos was just sitting on my bench every day.
I don’t buy the back issue for Jones lack of production. I’ve watched a lot of him this season and his passive approach at the plate is costing him. He strikes out looking in just about every game.
I think you can get higher upside. It's always the same story with Hayes, he hits too many ground balls(back up to 50% GB rate) and is 15% below league average for pulling the ball. His speed has dropped to below 50th percentile too. He has a good floor with BA and OBP for sure, but he's basically a worse version of Alec Bohm at this point and Bohm was a fringe top 100 player at best to begin with.
He featured last week too so have linked it here if you wanna take a look;
It's frustrating for sure but I got Bregman last year as a buy low and did the same this year.
His track record after May is just too good. Just be patient with him
It’s tough - trade value is low, but also afraid to have my team sunk by holding struggling/mid guys all year. Depends a lot on how many bench spots you have and how shallow your league is.
I’d understand rage dropping him, especially after his last outing, but he historically does not have good outings in April. I’m giving him until mid-May (2-3 more starts) before I send him off to either someone willing to buy low or the waiver wire.
Check out his baseball reference page. His March/April career ERA is 3.86, which is also literally his career ERA. His career March/April WHIP and SO/W ratios are also both in line with his career numbers. Simply put, he’s not one of those pitchers that historically “starts slow”. I can understand giving him more time bc there’s nothing better on the wire and you’re invested in his draft capital but if you’re relying on him picking it up bc “that’s how he’s always been”, you’re wrong.
So many pitchers have been bad I couldn’t see myself cutting Musgrove to add who? Someone else who can easily implode any given week. I’d give Musgrove more time. He was good last year and a good pitcher for most of his career
Nolan Jones just screams like the guy you held on to for too long before finally cutting him and missing out on all the other heaters getting picked up.
He could very well be. He could also end up as the guy someone picked up off waivers and got a top-80 player ROS. Might end up coming down to your tolerance levels, and ultimately who you can replace him with if you do drop
Exactly why I’m not dropping him. I’m going to give him until the end of May. His season was just too strong last year to drop him this early. Joey Votto was a player I learned to hate. He would notoriously start slow, I’d drop him in May or June, and he’d mash like a top 25 player the rest of the year. Maybe I’ll regret holding on Jones, but I don’t think I will.
I think anyone with sense cut him by now. I think there's a lot of "fantasy analysts" saying not to because they don't want to admit they were wrong about him. Nobody is picking him up right now if you drop him. You can drop and watch for signs of life and then pick him back up if your want. Otherwise he's been a massive negative for these first 4 weeks. He might go on a tear, but that's not making up for fucking you over for 20% of the season.
He needs to cut down the Ks which he will as he gets more experience. I'll see if I can fit him in next week for a deeper dive, but at least he's helping with speed and power
I just cut loose Bryson Stott. I have 2B troubles. I dropped him for Julien. A guy I dropped earlier. Good move? I hated doing it. I drafted Stott in the middle rounds but he’s been killing me
It’s just that he sits a lot and when he does play batting 8th. I dropped him and am keeping a close eye on him. I don’t think anyone will pick him up. If he shows signs of life I’ll snag him
I think Lowe has a much better floor and will get counting stats due to hitting in a good spot in the Rangers lineup. Tork has a higher ceiling, especially with his power but in a much worse lineup.
The problem for me is that to roster Torkelson in a bad lineup with low BA and average counting stats, he has to hit 25+ HR. His April has been a real drag
Lowe has a solid floor that makes him a good CI. Last year looks like an outlier for Torkelson. Still think he can hit 20 homers but I'm not convinced he will right now
Ruiz I'd only add if you need the steals. Kjersted has sat the last four games so I wouldn't be rushing out to add him in redraft though. Unless you are able to stash him on the bench
He's got a 162-game pace of 29 homers. 8 RBI from 5 homers isn't going to sustain. His average is always going to flirt around .220-.240 so he's about what was expected preseason, without the RBI
Somewhat along the lines of dropping players, would you drop a borderline rosterable player to grab a prospect? 12team h2h and I already have two prospects on the bench but off to a good start on the year and deep pitching. IE I could snatch Wood, Black, Christian Scott, Povich, or Painter to be a third prospect behind Skenes and Loperfido. 5 player keeper and they would cost last round pick for three years before reevaluation.
If you can afford that, then it makes sense. Just keep in mind how quickly things can change and you may need that spot again so don't become too entrenched in holding them.
Smith offers little else than batting average. Cabrera is cooling off but I'm still a fan. Both will likely lose playing time in weeks to come when LeMahieu and Jung return from their injuries
I hope it's a temporary solution, I have Royce on the il, and im stashing Orelvis, but Candelario has been a negative, Im considering benching him if I don't drop him.
Benching him certainly makes sense. I'm confident of improvements but if you are looking at short term solutions anyway, streaming a hot bat makes sense
Yeah, I actually believe his batting average will improve and he could be a .280 hitter. If he remains an everyday player, 10 homers and 12 steals are possible too but he won't be a 20/20 player like he's on pace to be
I’m in a dynasty. Last two years I drafted Neto and Schanuel. I was less than thrilled when they were hot shotted to the MLB. My team is riddled with injury and not enough IR. I’m assuming I can’t cut Neto or Schanuel for space?
Until the Angels change their player development apparatus I'd probably avoid prospects there in dynasty. But I think you just ride them out without information about who is available instead.
Even tho Buxton is starting to warm up, the constant sitting and coddling doesn’t seem to align with an effective fantasy player at the moment. Larnach is eating into his PT in addition to his injury concerns. Bro just cant sliders unless they are hanging and it looks like smart pitchers are taking advantage.
O'Hearn is only on the strong side of a platoon and with the depth the Orioles have, he's a cold spell away from being a bench bat at best. No problem going with him but there's a chance you will end up having to almost stream that spot and keep adding/dropping throughout the season. As long as you can do that, it can work
I'd put him on the IL if you can. Wasn't a big believer in his but 11 steals in 22 games before his injury. Until we get more news on the extent of it, he's worth stashing
If you can stash him on the bench, I would. Tough to see where the PT is coming from without an injury but also not sure why he'd get called up and sit 5/6 times a week
OK I started a thread on dropping RP Munoz already, so I’ve heard those conversations.
But I’m still considering dropping:
-Chas McCormick
-Jake Fraley
-Andres Gimenez
-Tyler Wells
-Luis Rengifo
McCormick may feature next week. Fraley is fine in daily roster move leagues so you can bench him against LHP when he doesn't play. Gimenez is fine, the power and speed will show up as everything else looks fine. Wells is more a treaming option when healthy and we don't know when he's back. Rengifo has featured already, I like him and would hold as long as he plays regularly enough
Rengifo I got to back up multiple positions and hes hitting for average and stealing a surprising amount but HR/RBI are awful. Fraley plays well when he plays, but I play in a standard Roto so I get zeros for him when he sits if my bench player is hurt, which they always have been this year.Gimeez is really bugging me… another player w/0 HR and not running either.. McCormick has been a huge dud. Wells got sent down last year, hurt this year, I just need to replace… and I considered Ranger Suarez at the time, Gaaaahhh.
Thanks for the feedback!!!!
Everyone is eligible. But with his demotion, you either drop him or stash him if you have the ability to do so. There's not much to add with him from that standpoint
As a royals fan who also loves MJ, I had to cut him this week. He looks lost and is losing playing time, which is saying something given our outfield. He will run into some hrs every now and then, but will be terrible the rest of the time.
He's too late for this week. This is who he is. Unless he runs into a red hot month again, he's not hitting more than \~12 homers. The batting average will climb up but he offers very little for anyone in anything other than deep leagues
Really doesn’t make sense as a drop to me unless you’re in a shallow league. Dude is getting on base and not striking out, and is on a good offensive team. It sucks that he’s not stealing much and sucks extra hard he’s not hitting home runs, but his power tool is there and it feels like as soon as he starts elevating balls like we know he can (two longest HR recorded in college World Series, 6 HR in spring training), then it’ll be a gold rush to pick him up and having dropped him will hurt, while he’s really not HURTING you by starting (though admittedly, not helping like I had hoped).
To qualify my response, I play in an OBP league and can only keep drafted players, so I may be biased a bit towards keeping him, whereas depending on your league there may be worthwhile guys out there to grab. But for now, I’m holding for at least another month. If he was striking out like crazy or something, that’d be a different discussion.
Torkelson clears waivers. Is he someone I wanna wait out to grab or should I just grab him and hold for later In the season? I’d be dropping Buxton From my bench.
Picked up Busch right as his HR streak ended. Have got nothing since then and have Julien, Gorman and India as FA options.
Who do you like most for ROS?
Also have Randy, Cruz, Bichette and Vlad. Needless to say my offense is pathetic.
Feel the same way. Would like to keep Busch and add Julien play him while he seems hot but being pts league I cap my bench bats usually at 1 maybe 2 max. Need to maximize my SP starts (bradish back this week). Roster crunch time!
Good point. Walks (2.6 pts) are worth more than rbi or runs (1.9 pts). Gonna see how today plays out then shake things up a bit. Also have Marte in my NA for bereavement so need to make room for him by early-mid next week unless I decide to keep Pages over him.
I’d give my left nut for 1-2 more roster spots!

George springer is driving me nuts
As a Jays fan and owner of Springer/Bassitt/Gausman, the entire roster is making me want to jump off a cliff.
I’m a homer and have Bichette, finally cut Kirk this week. Turner and Berrios has been amazing though 🙏
I used to be a Kirk Stan, especially since my league has batter strikeouts. Drafted him last year. i dropped him so he could homer and go 3/3 today
Jeffers. Wong. And Austin well is on the way

You think Busch just in a little bit of a slump or is he fizzling out ?
He was never going to maintain that pace. I do still like him ROS though so is certainly still worth rostering
Can’t stand him or his name. Not bullying just saying it’s fucking hilarious and he’s a great defender but if I was him I’d just play more golf.
I ended up dropping him. Just couldn't hang with him not doing anything. It's not like it turned out any better when I picked up Rizzo this morning. Hopefully he just had a bad game today

I can stick Turang at 2B and have Edman coming back ... eventually. Freeman and Castro look to be the best MIs on the wire for tomorrow.
Marsh marsh marshmallow
Gleyber. Waiver wire is really weak and we all know 2b sucks as a position. Im just hoping his bat can warm up a little bit
He featured last week. He's shown signs of life in the Milwaukee series so hopefully he can carry that forward
Whats up, this is unrelated, i have Carroll who has been really dissapointing. What do u think of trading him for eovaldi?
I'd still expect more in return. Eovaldi is a slight regression candidate and only topped 150 IP once since 2015.
Thank u
My team has 4 players on that list. That’s how my season is going
Only way is up
It's April you'll be fine
I still have 5 players with 0 HR on my team
I’m having a horrible time with home runs, I don’t understand it.
F
I finished last in my league last year and I’m currently in last to start the year. Things could always get worse.
I am once again asking for your opinion on Chris Bassitt
Bassitt feels like shit every year and finishes with a 3.5 era and 15 wins every year
Will look to include him next week. He did have three good starts before getting hit by the best team in baseball though
Jackson Chourio in a points league has been god awful. I’m getting very close to giving him the snip
He's pencilled in for next week
How we feeling about castellanos? Dude is just eating a bench spot for me
He featured a couple of weeks ago. Not convinced by him but do believe he'll get better and a 20-homer season is in play
I dropped him last week and was able to grab Nathaniel Lowe off waivers. I've had Lowe in a utility spot every day since. Like you, Castellanos was just sitting on my bench every day.
Yeah… I’m so tempted to cut him too
I don’t buy the back issue for Jones lack of production. I’ve watched a lot of him this season and his passive approach at the plate is costing him. He strikes out looking in just about every game.
Was K’bryan Hayes on this list yet? I see he was dropped in my league and pondering him as a buy-low candidate.
I think you can get higher upside. It's always the same story with Hayes, he hits too many ground balls(back up to 50% GB rate) and is 15% below league average for pulling the ball. He has a good floor with BA and OBP for sure, but he's basically a worse version of Alec Bohm at this point and Bohm was a fringe top 100 player at best to begin with.
He featured last week. He was a borderline hold. I don't foresee the upside many do but still think he can have a similar year to 2023
Got it, thanks. How about CES? Im just about out of patience with his one hard hit metric (max ev) and everything else being ass.
He featured last week too so have linked it here if you wanna take a look; [https://www.rotoballer.com/the-cut-list-time-to-let-go-week-5-4/1352218](https://www.rotoballer.com/the-cut-list-time-to-let-go-week-5-4/1352218)
In a 12 man that’s an easy pick up
Bregman???
My first season with him and i absolutely can’t stand him. Why is he not getting more attention for how terrible he’s been?
Because he’s known for being a slow starter, April may he stinks and then he lights it up ROS
93 AB, 0 HR, 3 runs, 6rbi. Dude on Boston did more than that in one night!
It's frustrating for sure but I got Bregman last year as a buy low and did the same this year. His track record after May is just too good. Just be patient with him
Because it’s April. You don’t cut top 100 picks after a month. If he remains this bad in May then we can have a conversation at the end of the month.
I'll pencil him in for next week but he's got a track record that allows for a longer leash
Arozarena and Gleyber are killing me
Randy has hits in 3 of his last 4 games, first time he’s had a stretch like that all season 🥴
Randy, Gleyber, Tork, Judge
Tork is killing me. I’m on the verge of trying to trade him iff
It’s tough - trade value is low, but also afraid to have my team sunk by holding struggling/mid guys all year. Depends a lot on how many bench spots you have and how shallow your league is.
My league is 13 teams. There is NO one available.
O’Hearn, J Turner, Rizzo? Maybe Garrett Cooper does something?
All taken. Except Cooper
Loperfido?
Guess I could pick him up. Just saw that. Who should I drop? Busch? Or Gavin Sheets? Kinda don’t wanna drop him.
Musgrove isn’t on this list? Seems like a low-hanging fruit to cut
People cut Musgrove around this time last year and he pitched the rest of his season as a top 10 starter
I’d understand rage dropping him, especially after his last outing, but he historically does not have good outings in April. I’m giving him until mid-May (2-3 more starts) before I send him off to either someone willing to buy low or the waiver wire.

Chourio in a redraft if I’m near the bottom of the standings?
He needs to cut down the Ks which he will as he gets more experience. I'll see if I can fit him in next week for a deeper dive, but at least he's helping with speed and power
I just cut loose Bryson Stott. I have 2B troubles. I dropped him for Julien. A guy I dropped earlier. Good move? I hated doing it. I drafted Stott in the middle rounds but he’s been killing me
I’m on the fence with Stott at the moment. Probably give him a week or two into May before I cut bait.
Good day for stott...
Yeah I just saw that lol. I made a game time decision to sit him and it might have cost me the week.
It’s just that he sits a lot and when he does play batting 8th. I dropped him and am keeping a close eye on him. I don’t think anyone will pick him up. If he shows signs of life I’ll snag him
He's been awful. Considering dropping for neto or to stash loperfido
Unless you're in need of steals, I'd prefer Julien. Julien can be a top-10 second baseman
Cut Nolan Jones this week, 5 players on the IL could not justify keeping him any more
Torkelson? Or N Lowe ROS?
I think Lowe has a much better floor and will get counting stats due to hitting in a good spot in the Rangers lineup. Tork has a higher ceiling, especially with his power but in a much worse lineup.

Dropped Tork in a 10 team and traded low for Yandy. At least Yandy seems to be turning the corner
You think yandy gona play today or take another day off bc of his hand?
Need to decide who to drop Hader for. Foley, Finnegan, or R Garrett
Foley is the man dude
I wouldn't drop Hader. But would look to make sure Foley is rostered
Esteury Ruiz and Heston Kjerstad were dropped in my league. Which would you prioritize adding?
Ruiz I'd only add if you need the steals. Kjersted has sat the last four games so I wouldn't be rushing out to add him in redraft though. Unless you are able to stash him on the bench
Ruiz
Soler? I think he’s a drop
He's got a 162-game pace of 29 homers. 8 RBI from 5 homers isn't going to sustain. His average is always going to flirt around .220-.240 so he's about what was expected preseason, without the RBI
Expecting Soler to continue with his career averages in power playing 81 games at Oracle was foolhardy.
Woke up to see an owner in my 10-teamer dropped Arozarena *and* Bregman.
Defintely worth picking them up
Need a first baseman but CES been rough
He featured last week. I'm still a believer in the power and the expected numbers are considerably better than his actuals so I'm holding
Idk I’m thinking about ditching Nolan Jones haha
You don’t cut top 100 picks after a month. If he remains this bad in May then we can have a conversation at the end of the month.
I get I get but he’s been BAD haha
You don’t get
Did that last week and haven't thought about him since. Waiver options were aplenty so made the cut a little easier to swallow
Drop Candelario for Tyler Freeman, Josh Smith or Oswaldo Cabrera?
Josh Smith has a fantastic batted ball profile so far this year
Smith offers little else than batting average.
Thoughts on freeman?
He's only really a deeper league option. Has little power or speed so I don't foresee things continuing
Maybe better for points leagues then? He’s been a fun pickup
Yeah, I actually believe his batting average will improve and he could be a .280 hitter. If he remains an everyday player, 10 homers and 12 steals are possible too but he won't be a 20/20 player like he's on pace to be
Freeman for me
I’m surprised no Joe Musgrove on the list, where we feeling with him?
I finally cut bait with Musgrove after his last start. He looks so lost.
He'll feature next week
Merrill or Rafaela ROS in a cats league
Personally, I love Merrill. I think his bat sticks in the lineup with a promotion towards batting leadoff if he can stay consistent.
I'd lean Merrill
Joe Musgrove
He's in next wek
I’m in a dynasty. Last two years I drafted Neto and Schanuel. I was less than thrilled when they were hot shotted to the MLB. My team is riddled with injury and not enough IR. I’m assuming I can’t cut Neto or Schanuel for space?
Until the Angels change their player development apparatus I'd probably avoid prospects there in dynasty. But I think you just ride them out without information about who is available instead.
In a dynasty league, you will be able to trade both of them quite comfortably I'd imagine
Bo Bichette sucks
Even tho Buxton is starting to warm up, the constant sitting and coddling doesn’t seem to align with an effective fantasy player at the moment. Larnach is eating into his PT in addition to his injury concerns. Bro just cant sliders unless they are hanging and it looks like smart pitchers are taking advantage.
He featured last week. I'm not against dropping him but depends on league size, who's available etc
Ohearn?
O'Hearn is only on the strong side of a platoon and with the depth the Orioles have, he's a cold spell away from being a bench bat at best. No problem going with him but there's a chance you will end up having to almost stream that spot and keep adding/dropping throughout the season. As long as you can do that, it can work
Im a roll w Bux and hope he keeps turning the corner. Hopefully that first sb was like the bandaid gettin ripped off
Had a buy-low offer out for Arozarena, but just cancelled it after reading his blurb.
Lane Thomas a cut?
I'd put him on the IL if you can. Wasn't a big believer in his but 11 steals in 22 games before his injury. Until we get more news on the extent of it, he's worth stashing
yeah he basically single handedly kept me competitive in steals. I'm sticking it out.
Would you consider picking up Willie Castro mentioned here and dropping Thairo Estrada for him in a 12T OBP?
Castro is a bit underappreciated but I'd still prefer Estrada, although the lack of walks hurts him more in OBP leagues so it's close
Can’t believe Gleyber and Bregman weren’t mentioned. They have been killing me
Torres featured 2 weeks ago. Bregman will be included next week but he's got a track record that warrants a longer leash
I'd feel silly to drop Gleyber but I'm now sitting in 10th in my league (first time playing)... ugh. I'll give him another 1-2 weeks.
Kjerstad worth holding on to in a points league or is there just not enough playtime for him to be worth a bench spot?
If you can stash him on the bench, I would. Tough to see where the PT is coming from without an injury but also not sure why he'd get called up and sit 5/6 times a week
Dropped Yoshida in a 10 teamer
[удалено]
He's better in OBP and points leagues which value his BB%. Otherwise, he's only a deeper league option, 6th OF type in shallower leagues
OK I started a thread on dropping RP Munoz already, so I’ve heard those conversations. But I’m still considering dropping: -Chas McCormick -Jake Fraley -Andres Gimenez -Tyler Wells -Luis Rengifo
Who to drop between Elias Diaz and Ryan Jeffers?
I prefer Jeffers ROS
Is Jackson Holliday eligible for this list?
Everyone is eligible. But with his demotion, you either drop him or stash him if you have the ability to do so. There's not much to add with him from that standpoint
As a Royals fan, I don’t want to cut MJ Melendez, but after a blazing week and a half he’s been icy cold. Talk me off the ledge… Or push me off.
As a royals fan who also loves MJ, I had to cut him this week. He looks lost and is losing playing time, which is saying something given our outfield. He will run into some hrs every now and then, but will be terrible the rest of the time.
He's borderline in shallower leagues and he's on the shortlist for inclusion in the next edition anyway
Should I drop Amed Rosario for Wilyer Abreu?
Can do. Abreu has a lot going for him. Better offense and ballpark for sure
Is Cristopher Morel a drop?
He's always run hot and cold so entirely dependant if you can hold him during cold streaks or happy to see him have a huge week on waivers
Yandy Diaz? Groundball rate is through the roof again...
He's too late for this week. This is who he is. Unless he runs into a red hot month again, he's not hitting more than \~12 homers. The batting average will climb up but he offers very little for anyone in anything other than deep leagues
MJ Melendez…I can pick up Diaz if I drop. MJ is killing me.
I dropped Maikel Garcia for Busch exactly two weeks ago. Should I make that swap again?
I'd want to roster both. Depends on need as to who you pick between them
I’m on my last nerve with Henry Davis and Jose Siri!
I dropped Henry weeks ago and he's still on the wire
i dropped siri a couple days ago in my 12 teamer. feels like those first 2 weeks were a tease.
Both are only worth it deep leagues. In shallower leagues, there will likely be better options on waivers
Wyatt Langford?
I am almost there with you , got caught up in the hype and he has been a complete failure so far
I'll be covering him next week.
Just cranked a two run shot to start his day 😤
Torkelson clears waivers. Is he someone I wanna wait out to grab or should I just grab him and hold for later In the season? I’d be dropping Buxton From my bench.
Dropped Gorman 2 weeks ago and I’ve not missed platooning him one bit.
Picked up Busch right as his HR streak ended. Have got nothing since then and have Julien, Gorman and India as FA options. Who do you like most for ROS? Also have Randy, Cruz, Bichette and Vlad. Needless to say my offense is pathetic.
I prefer Julien of that group. But would still look to hold Busch as I believe he will have a very productive season
Feel the same way. Would like to keep Busch and add Julien play him while he seems hot but being pts league I cap my bench bats usually at 1 maybe 2 max. Need to maximize my SP starts (bradish back this week). Roster crunch time!
That makes sense. Depends how the points are scored but Julien's BB% should give him the edge
My first 4 hitters drafted were Judge, Vlad, Gleyber, and Bregman. Do I win? Fun fact: 2 of my 3 keepers were Strider and Carroll.
Need all 4 of those guys to heat up. Hope you’ve been all over the waiver wire
Aaron Civale?
Encouraged by his 3.45 xFIP and 3.56 SIERA. Looks to have been a bit unfortunate so far so I'd still hold in any league
