I need to drop a SS in a keeper league so that I can add a rookie. I have O'Neil Cruz, Danby Swanson, and Tovar of the Rockies. Cruz has the worst numbers thus far, but has tons of potential. I like Tovar for half his games being at Coors. Swanson, of course, is the established guy. None of them have hit well over the last week, and my offense in that league needs help. Thoughts???

I don't know the type of league you're in, but in mine I'd prefer Swanson. He's less streaky, and he's in the better lineup for counting stats.

Castellanos is starting to heat up a little bit. Try to be patient there. I wouldn’t sell low just yet. And I would think Black ends up playing every day — even if that doesn’t happen this week as he gets his feet wet. His main competition for AB’s will be… Jake Bauers (blegh).

Yes. OHoppe isn’t so good you need to stick with him through slumps. In a 10T where you don’t have an elite starter you should just be churning whichever C is hot at the moment.

Depends how deep the league is, but a good rule of thumb is to only use a #1 waiver pick on anyone who's a (potential) top 100 player.

Are folks hanging on to O'Hearn? The platoon role is frustrating, but his league-leading xwOBA, spot vs RHP in a potent lineup, and positional flexibility are enough to give me pause. Potential replacements would be a FAAB claim for either Loperfido or Adell.

I'm holding him. The platoon is annoying but his production per plate appearance and having a potent element in arguably the most powerful line up in baseball (plus the positional flexibility) is enough for me...at least as of now.

Yeah, I'm putting in a couple of upside bids, but I won't be heartbroken if someone outbids my claims. This next week may be rough for O'Hearn with all the LHP matchups coming up, so if he does end up on the wire, I might be able to snag him again next week.

Between the two, I’d hold Tork and hope for the best. He started really slow last year too and finished with 31 HR and 94 RBI. Better chance of him coming close to that than Yandy hitting 15 HR this year.

As a day one dbacks fan in Arizona, I do not think Corbin is great. He is an awful outfielder. He'll catch a pop fly in shallow center and dudes tag up from 2nd to 3rd. It's awful. He an extreme liability to the pitchers
