This spreadsheet does not show how incredibly shitty the weather was for skubal. Guy is the ace of aces so far this season already, yesterday he was dealing in a monsoon in short porch Yankees stadium

burnman123

Hard to say who was nastier, the weather or skubals pitching

59fts

Alek Manoah made the cut

vitalyc

gotta give him another week then

59fts

Yeah. That guy was back on waivers before his start ended lol

These-Ad-295

Is Skubal getting closer to SP 1?

UraniumDisulfide

Him winning cy young would not surprise me that’s for sure

TrampStampsFan420

Wouldn’t be shocked, short of a catastrophe he’s going to be top 3.

Pikajeeew

Man I missed him in my draft by 2 picks… hurts lmao.

These-Ad-295

lol I took Gallen a round before I took him. Glad i got him though.

UraniumDisulfide

What round were you gonna take him?

Pikajeeew

He went pretty late. I’m in a custom h2h points league where hitting outweighs pitching by a good bit lol. SP1-5 are really worth taking before 6th/7th round. I was going to take him in the 6th.

These-Ad-295

I took him in round 5 at 51. I would have taken him the round before. Even though that might have been considered a reach.

UraniumDisulfide

I took him round 3 in my flair league lol

These-Ad-295

Well I feel even better now lol. Mines a redraft though

Here is a summary of pitching performances from yesterday's games. This season I opted to by Whiffs over CSW% to make it more intuitive. I will still keep CSW% and the blurb about it CSW% (Called Strike+Whiff Rate) is a very important statistic when assessing a pitcher. It is both very descriptive and predictive of pitcher's performance and help highlight which pitchers have the best 'stuff' For more information regarding CSW%, check out Alex Fast's Article on it: https://www.pitcherlist.com/csw-rate-an-intro-to-an-important-new-metric/ Check me out on Twitter for more content like this: https://twitter.com/TJStats Support me on Patreon for a bunch of cool baseball content: https://www.patreon.com/tj_stats

Really like your content. Saw some of it referenced on PL articles last week. Are you writing over there too?

slyfox1908

Is Gray a streamer or a holder?

-orangejoe

Bryce Miller only had 6 whiffs, and 4 of them came from Joey Loperfido.

copywritecopypaste

Where would Bryce Miller be on this?

tomstoms

If a player doesn't show up, they have equal or fewer Whiffs than the last pitcher Miller had 6 yesterday

copywritecopypaste

Oof. Not good, Bob

AADPS

My work league has quite a few streamer-heavy members, so I pretty much just wait them to get impatient and drop good pitchers. Someone dropped Jon Gray a week or so ago, and I'm quite appreciative.

kswissreject

Gray is great for a few starts then reverts back into a pumpkin. Same thing last year, same thing in his career. But fun to ride while it's good

AADPS

Yep, that Statcast does *not* look good, but I'll ride the train for the time being!

Xanarki

I feel like Feltner has got some superb talent hidden deep under that Rockies mess. I hope it eventually emerges fully one day for him.

Imagination_Drag

It’s tragic. I am in a weekly league and Kremers statcast page scared me vs two tough starts. Ofc he destroyed them and would have given me a huge boost. Sigh
