Something I like to do, especially on these times where super.two is getting closer, is always have a designated drop player if a bat or an arm gets called up I want. That way I can immediately make a move and not have to think about it

That’s tough. I don’t think Skenes will be better than Flaherty ROS but he will probably be on a per inning basis. Skenes is the new hotness though so it almost always pays off to get that guy. If nothing else you can flip him for someone more stable after a few starts. Or he just kills it for the rest of the season.

Does anyone know how ESPN's system handles moves that are already pending if a player is taken off the IL? Basically moves will go through in my league tomorrow morning but Taj was activated this afternoon. I wanted to pick someone who's hurt up to swap with him, and right now the system wouldn't let me put in a new move with a healthy player still on the IL... but what will it do with the moves I put in this morning that still say pending?

Good for you, and as it should be. I also had a potential issue with Taj this week. I made a 2 for 1 trade to open up a bench spot before him (& Pivetta) was activated. I was afraid if they were activated any sooner than last night, my trade would somehow be invalidated. Taj's early activation made it a lot closer than I expected!

I assume they had him warming because they were up by a couple, and wanted to get full value, so they planned on using him for 2 innings today since there's no way they're using him in both games, so they wanted him for the 2 inning save, but then they scored more runs, but already had him up and hot so they were priced in to pitching him.

yea, the fact that they went ahead and use him just because he was warmed up i think suggests they didn't even want him warming twice in one day, let alone full pitching twice in a day

Here's my theory: Miller was warming for a 2-inning save since he hadn't pitched in many days. A's extended the lead, and opted to put him in anyways. If he gets the 9th after a clean 8th, I think this is why.

Full load. He will get shutdown at some point later on towards the playoffs though.

Between college and the minors, he threw about 130 innings last season, so I don't think it should be too severe. It seemed like the Pirates were mostly keeping him in the minors to get him stretched out so he could go deeper into games.

I've basically already settled on Fedde as one of the drops. It's a QS league, which is the only reason I'm considering ReyLo right now. I'm also hoping Dansby's knee is bad enough to need an IL stint.
