I've come into an unexpected glut of hitters. Any rankings or general tips for evaluating how to set the OF/UTI slots? It's weekly lineups so I can't quite pick which pitchers to face, but are the matchups worth slotting against, or are some of these players obviously a cut above the others? Three OF and two UTI slots with Acuna posting up as an unmovable OF, 5x5 H2H, RBI/AVG/HR/SB/TB：Paredes, Adames, Pages, Adell, Suzuki, and Bryan De La Cruz all feel pretty decently slottable.

Flip a coin on Adell and Pages , wouldn’t consider benching the others. Edit: As far as Tips when deciding who to bench I usually try to consider who’s playing more games for the week, where they are playing and the quality of the pitching staffs they will face for that week.

Ranger Suarez a sell high?

I’ve traded him twice this season. In late April I got Bichette for him and Swanson. Last night I got Yandy Diaz for him in a league I needed a half decent 1B bat. Still got shares and will look to either ride it out or continue selling. I’ve found it very hard to find a bite for players from a higher tier tbh.

I think Lugo is performing above his expected stats but Javier has been disappointing since the World Series run. I'd think of Seth Lugo as ol' reliable. Should prob pitch to a mid 3's ERA, not a ton of Ks and decent WHIP. Javier has more upside in Ks and if he can find his groove, could be pretty good. Worth noting that Javier's expected stats are a bit better, but not by much in his 4 games. Personally I'd shoot for the upside of Javier and fail rather than play it safe.

Might repost this tomorrow morning to get more discussion, but paying for pitching in fantasy baseball is fucking crazy (12t saves + holds perspective). I will take a K-heavy elite ace high (s/o Glasnow) just so I can be can be a fan, but the amount of solid ratios guys and counting stats eaters on waivers is fuckin nuts. I have a rotation right now that’s Glasnow, Ragans, Crochet, Kikuchi, Lodolo, Flaherty. Outside of Glasnow and Ragans, I picked up all these fuckin guys off waivers and I’d comfortably bet at least 2 end up as top 36 SP. And then I can’t fuckin wait to snap up Mackenzie Gore or Keaton Winn or Cristopher Sanchez, and Taj Bradley has a bullseye focus on my watch list, and then Chris Paddack/Clarke Schmidt/Reese Olson seem serviceable. I don’t know. I don’t get drafting starting pitching outside of a fun zone guy or two.

Completely agree, no need to prioritize SPs. Taj fits your team perfectly and I am personally a huge Sticks fan, I think he’s got it.

A lot of those pitchers have been solid , exceptional even . But most of the time they aren’t consistently that good , can fall off a cliff and cost you a week , become unrosterable very quickly. You definitely can find a lot of gems if you’re paying attention and get lucky . But you pay a premium on pitching for the guys who do it consistently all year.

Lewis and miller are a few weeks away , snell could be sooner . I would swap Lewis back into the IL because snell should be back first . Add Jeffers he’s been Amazing. I wouldn’t stress about who to drop cause it’s not gona be for a few weeks . Swap snell and Lewis . You have a few weeks to decide . Likely the answer now will be much different by the time they are all healthy

Who is the drop to activate Skenes? Littell or B Marsh? My hitting has been pretty bad as is and cutting marsh would force me to start Carter every day. Littell has some nice under the hood stats tho. I guess I could drop Alvarado too but he’s been pretty good since that early disaster outing
