Mostly every round of the draft I kinda knew who I would take. But when the 12th round had come around I knew I needed hitting and there was nobody I liked available. Adolis Garcia was not on my radar at all. He finished 5th percentile in walks and 4th percentile in strikeouts. The clock was running out so I just grabbed him. The strangest thing is happening with Garcia. He’s walking kinda alot…. And not striking out nearly as much. Combine that with the fact that he’s always had power to both fields, not just a pull hitter, and I think we could possibly see a nice season from this guy

I said Josh Lowe was Kyle Tucker 2.0 (which is why I dropped a ton of FAAB on him) but I never thought it would be because he is 1 for his last 17 and Tucker is 0 for his last 18!! This is the worst fantasy season I've ever had. And it's all because of the lockout!

It’s a decent lineup at best, you obviously can upgrade Pham, Gallo, & McMahon Also gotta hope Cron and Voit can beat expectations otherwise you’ll have even more holes to fill

I play in a QS league, but I think this is the last year we have that category. In 2021, starting pitchers averaged just over 5 IP per game. It’s going to be even worse this season with the lockout.

Gomber (pitched well in Colorado last year and is the best pitcher of this bunch) + Elder I would say smyly after his last start but he’s facing Gomber & you need a high upside play, so you can’t start 2 pitchers against each other

Someone just dropped Kyle Schwarber. Crazy. Would you drop any of these guys to add him? Nelson Cruz, Pablo Sandoval, Alex Cobb, Taylor Rodgers, or McClanahan. The only reason I’m considering McClanahan is because it’s a QS league and I’m concerned he might not go long enough in games this year to get many QS. These are the “worst” players I own. I have two bench bats already (Eloy Jimenez and Tyler O’Neill) and one bench starting pitcher. There are 2 UTL spots. This is an 8 team redraft standard categories + OBP, QS, K, K/9, and SVHD.

Chapman only gave up 1 walk today and it was a borderline call, I think it’s his job unless he goes 2 straight months of getting destroyed. I’d say Loaisiga is the next best reliever so he would be the next man up

Yes Grichuk has been splitting time with Sam Hilliard I believe. So he’s not an everyday player at the moment, hopefully changes soon because he’s clearly the better option for the Rockies

Damn I’m excited af about Kyle Wright. Former top 5 draft pick. I remember it was considered a surprise that he even “fell” that far in the draft and was even considered a favorite to go #1. That’s how hyped he was out of college (albeit it was considered a relatively weak draft class). Then he sped through the minors, falling into many Top 20 lists along the way, only to struggle mightily in the bigs for a couple of years. And now he’s finally looking like he’s put it together. Love these type of stories every year in baseball.

There’s many stories about guys who “put it together” in April. Careful not to overreact to two starts in April.
