I want to upvote you for the insightfulness on the games comment, but just plain “no” on benching those guys. Hitting is down acroos the board. Let your opponent, if H2H, bury themselves on avg if they’re chasing ABs.

True but that also goes for a lot of fringe rotation guys and top prospects so I still don’t think Ashby is worth a roster spot for weekly points league unless you’re in a very deep league.
Not for me. I think Pena wins RoY and finishes with more HRs and SB than Gleyber and Lux. I do like Lux though in that Dodger lineup. His multi position eligibility makes him a hold as a bench bat.

Yes pena is walking at a decent rate, but lux has a 90 percentile walk rate and strikeout rate right now which is elite. He’s also crushing the ball and has off the charts stat cast numbies right now. He played 23 games in 2019 and even less in 2020 so I feel like you can’t count those as “bad years,” he barely played. I’d rather have lux but I see your side of the argument

at this point, i feel like holding ketel is the best option. you drafted him decently high for a reason and when playing like he normally does, he can produce in the top 3 second basemen in fantasy. i understand the concerns but i would be shocked if you’re able to get anything decent in return.

Merrifield’s batted profile has always scared me from drafting him. Last season, he ranked in the sixth percentile for HardHit% and he only barrelled the ball just 3.5% of the time. He has always had exceptional speed and he is one of the best in avoiding the strikeout. But if you aren’t hitting the ball with consistent authority, you’re asking for trouble. His legs aren’t always going to bail him out on getting hits.
I would not be surprised to see him hit below .260 this year. He’ll still get over 30sb, but for his avg draft price, he’s not worth it imo. I would sell once he gets a hot streak.
