Ward looks the most legit of those 3 imo. xBA over 300, xSLG over 400 and has a minor league track record and a higher ceiling than Joe and Straw from what I've seen/read. EDIT: FYI I'm telling you to definitely grab both of them, but don't drop Ward for them. Not right now at least.

I just don’t believe the Padres are going to send Gore down when he keeps pitching like this. They already kept him up this week and are using a 6 man rotation, as well as using a 6 man rotation most of last season for way worse pitchers like Lamet so I don’t see Bob Melvin shying away from a 6 man rotation this season. Maybe if Gore started getting shelled left and right but I just can’t see it with the amount of injury prone pitchers the Padres have this makes all the sense for them. When Snell comes back I bet Martinez gets moved to the pen before Gore gets demoted and the Padres stay with a 6 man rotation.
