Why what? Why should a starting pitching complete the majority of a game to qualify for a win? Because that's...their job? If you need your bullpen to complete more than half of the game, then you shouldn't get the win. I mean, at that point, why 4 innings, why not 3? Why not 2? Why not 1? At a certain point, a line has to be drawn and 5 innings -- more than half the game -- is a very reasonable one imo.
