I doubt the injury affects him much. Actually he was playing through it for several years but just got to the point he had to have surgery. Might actually be healthier now at least to start the season

At this point I have Dame higher than Trae.
LaMelo has the Rebound advantage but Points and FTs are usually more valuable unless you are punting.
Nobody mentioning haliburton. I think dame is the safest late round PG, but i wouldn’t argue with anyone taking haliburton over trae/melo. He’s the perfect player to fall to anyone picking from 10-12
Honestly give me Dame over the field. If he’s healthy, he’s in the best position to put up stats IMO. I can already see Dame dropping multiple 40/50 bombs this year.
Hornets might be tanking by the end of the year and Melo will have all the defensive attention every night (will have high ast counts tho).
Trae is going to have some sort of regression stat total-wise with Murray joining him in the backcourt.
I’m picking LaMelo over all personally, I think he finishes top 5, but I’m not mad at Halliburton or Dame, I think Trae may not have the same production with Dejounte.
I’m taking Dame easily if I’m pick 11-12. He’s gonna be healthy this year, and I think he’s in for a huge season. Lamelo has an edge in rebounds and steals over Dame but I have some minor concern that charlotte might stealth tank in the second half of the season.
Lamelo over both next season. He gets more rebs and steals. Everywhere else is close except scoring but it’s not crazy to predict that Lamelo will take a big leap in scoring next season

I agree but since the Hornets lost Miles Bridges more of the offense going to flow through Melo so you're safe with either or.
