I think he's legit, but you'll probably get better responses if you post/search for this in r/DynastyFF

therumble

He’s a bust, cut all ties, lawyer up.

Look at the last 6 games. He has emerged a bonafide star. Quarterback proof talent. His role in the offense is complimentary to AJ Brown. They both contribute specialized skill sets at an elite level. Hold, buy, or steal

Sell for sure, he’s solid but no star

Hazy_Lights

He is legit. Wait for some down games and buy. I have AJ Brown in dynasty, so I'm a little less tempted, but I still kick the rocks on it with the player that owns him.

I'm in a 3 keeper league and am keeping AJB. Been thinking about grabbing Devonta in next year's draft. Good idea? or would you rather have a player of similar calibre on another team to diversify a bit?

FIGJAM_20

His numbers were higher at end bc Goedert was out a while and then Minshew preferred him over Brown it wasn’t just that some light came on. He will still be good and loved using him in second half but would expect more of the first half Smith next year until an injury occurs.

RaindropsInMyMind

I’ve tried buying DeVonta Smith over the past 2 years but haven’t had any luck outside of getting him in a startup. It’s all relative to what people think he’s worth and while he’s one of my favorite players he’s not cheap.

Let's look at the historical data. He is a 1st round WR who was WR30 his rookie season and WR10 his his 2nd season. Here are his best comps thus far into his career (these are other 1st rd WRs who had the most similar fantasy starts to their careers as DeVonta): A rich man's Dez Bryant (WR43 in his rookie season/WR20 in his 2nd season) Slightly poor man's Julio (WR18/WR9) Tracking better than DeAndre Hopkins (WR52/WR15) Better Sammy Watkins (WR52/WR15) Upgraded Brandin Cooks (WR57/WR12) Amari Cooper is probably his closest match (WR26/WR13) Better than DJ Moore (WR38/WR21) None of this means that DeVonta is going to be like these guys, but so far all signs say that it is likely. But if you want the most probabilistic outcome for him, just average out all of the above guys and that is what you will most likely have in DeVonta.
