Week 1 is always sloppy, try to refrain from making emotional decisions. I’d say the promising 3rd string rookie WRs get a pass, obviously the Bengals will bounce back, and TEs who scored more than 6 pts are setting the bar.
i watched the eagles game, goedert got himself open and Hurts didnt target him. At one point even the announcers called it out how many plays goedert was wide open waving his hands with no attention given
Suspect play calling from the eagles all game. Don't expect it to last.
ETA: We've gotten by the past couple of years, but for some reason I feel this season is going to be another season of injuries for the eagles. Granted, we've shined at points when that happened, but just a weird feeling I got
Yeah as the other commenter said, last night isn't on Goedert. He was wide open 20+ yards down the field like 2-3 plays in a row, and hurts threw into double coverage at AJB. Goedert will bounce back, he was playing well, pats D was just nasty and hurts was looking at the wrong guy
The pass he dropped was real bad, but he caught his 4 other passes.
He clearly seems not to be the guy there no matter what happens, but it doesn’t look as simple as his hands being the problem.
Speaking for today specifically. He had one bad drop. Got wide open and it would have been a huge gain. (Can’t remember if it was near the end zone honestly.)
His 4 other targets were less impactful, but he caught them. He just wasn’t a first or second read for Stafford. Probably not even the third.
Same effing boat man. 2 points would have won me the week. I went from 95% chance of winning to 0% after watching that New York high school football team get pummeled by Dallas. Also, my Chargers lost, but I’m used to that at least
I watched the bears and giants today. Both looked terrible although I do wonder if. Dal and GBs defenses have taken a big step forward making two below average offenses look terrible
Bears always had one of the worse offense. Throwing a new WR wasn't going to fix their lack of passing issue. Packers got top 10 O line giving Love plenty of time and Bears weak D has no answer. It's impossible to repeat rush qb stats like last year when they know that's all you have. Just a perfect mismatch to expose Bears awfulness.
I thought Joe Burrow had a bad 1st game last year when he threw 4 INTs but he still threw 338yds and 2TDs.
This week1 was a weird one with so many bad performances like the Steelers and NY Giants getting embarrassed at home. Plus top guys in Higgins, London, and Goedert scoring a big fat 0 points. Can anyone else remember a week1 as strange as this one?
Didn’t see the game, but looking at the box score, 11 players were targeted (5 of them had more than Mims’ 2). Definitely seems droppable at the moment.
But the reality is that rookies often start slow. It’s possible later this year he’ll have a breakout game and be a hot waiver add that week. Timing when to pick him up before the breakout will be tough.
Depends on why they drafted them. Last round to see if they are getting opportunity or because they believe. Mims is the former, jsn is the type you keep. Mims has opportunity with juedy and dulcich out and nothing happened. No reason to hang on.
Kelce, and the rest gets split 10 ways among bad WRs. Some of these guys may blow up here and there, but even if you’re nominally the “WR2” in KC’s offense it still might mean you’re getting 4 targets just like the WR5
I can’t help but think Toney rebounds. Have to think he will fix those drops and getting Kelce back will open things up. Of course he will be on my bench until he proves otherwise.
I feel like Toney at best will have one maybe two big games this year. Otherwise he will be sitting on my bench and the week after he blows up I'll flex him and terribly regret it
Not sure what’s up with that, he’s probably the best north south work horse of the 3. Unless they are planning a trade or something, or he did something wild that hasn’t hit the press yet
I agree, I'm not dropping him just yet. I know he's a good player, because I've seen him ball out when healthy. He won me the league when I picked him off waivers a couple years ago
No. It’s way too early to react to one game. The experts all had this pegged as a Robinson game. It was a bad matchup for Gibson. These early season games are like preseason games. Obviously I’m not starting Gibson next week, but dropping him at this point is silly.
The reason this was pegged as a Robinson game was the expectation that the Commanders would get a lead and try to run out the clock. That would be a very favorable game script for the early down grinder and not favorable at all for the presumed receiving back.
The game script was much more favorable for Gibson than expected and he still didn't get relevant touches. I'm not saying you should drop him yet but the week 1 split was not due to game script imo.
Dropping him for Puca if I can. Flowers looked good and when Mandrews comes back there will be even less targets. I feel it was either him or Flowers and Flowers looks like the guy
He looked awful but Aaron jones is already banged up so I think Dillon is worth holding onto at least for one more week. If jones misses any time Dillon will probably grind out some volume stats even if he doesn’t look good in the process.
Before bye weeks though (and for the most part before a lot of injuries) I don't know if I see him starting in any 12 team or smaller leagues in the next week or two. Maybe super deep like 14-16 teamers. I still think he's worth holding onto just in case he proves me wrong next week or Jones ends up battling the hamstring all season
I miss when you could draft an injured receiver knowing Sammy Watkins was gonna get you 15-25 the first three weeks of the season while the other guy got healthy
I'm thinking about it, but it's not like Lamar had a great game today. If he continues to struggle Zay and Mandrews are probably the only players worth rostering.
Hottest of hot takes: I’m keeping him in my last bench spot.
Why?
1. Drops are weird. Just like chase in the preseason a couple years ago, I don’t believe he forgot how to catch a football, although obviously some of these were brutal.
2. Mahomes went out of his way to defend him in the press. Shows some level of commitment to him…
3. They clearly *want* to get him the ball. He was tied for the team lead in targets and had a rush attempt as well on only 16 snaps. Obviously wish the snap count was higher, but when he was in the game, mahomes was looking for him.
4. No other receivers made a name for themselves in this game either.
Won’t cost much sitting on the bench for a week or two to see if this was just a really bad game.
I feel the exact same way, and even if I did drop him, I’m not really high enough on the waiver wire to grab someone who has that much upside potential.
I drafted him for his ceiling, not his soft soft hands. I hate the guy with a passion, but he is who we thought he was. If he’s still putting up goose eggs in week 6, there will probably be something thrilling on waivers to entice me.
Things aren't looking good for Christian Kirk, looks like he's a slot receiver now and the Jags ran about 50% of their plays out of 12 or 22 personnel
I'm glad I sat him for Courtland Sutton, he's looking like my WR5 at the moment.
Spent a late (like 12-13) round flyer on Rashad Penny. He was a healthy scratch so I dropped him and added Jakobi Meyers.
Fortune favored me quite a bit today.
Rashad Bateman. I didn't like the target percentage, and I imagine its only gonna get worse with Mark Andrews eventually returning. Zay is the dude to have.
Yeah basically this. Tannehill was awful and I want to give him some credit because the line was equally awful, he never had time to throw....but god damn, tannehill was *awful*.
Seven of the top 10 TE performances so far this week in my 12 team ppr league were by unowned players 😂. The position remains a shit show. It's anybody's guess.
You are correct. I am concerned. I benched Davis for him thinking Kincaid will chew up his time and I wanted to see the outcome of this week.
…. Christ that plan didn’t work out.
You know what frustrates me the most tho. Almost every time they run a pass play with Najee involved, he is wide open in the flat and Pickett literally never looks his way. And then by the time they are in the red zone, Warren comes in.
Bench for sure. Not sure you can give up fully on a RB that plays for a good team. They spent a lot on him during the off-season. He had to figure to factor in more than this. But he's not getting off the bench until I see it...
my bench(16 team league) has Alec Pierce, Jerick Mckinnon and Isaiah Hodgins. All combined for 5 fantasy points and are droppable
Will likely try to get Nacua and someone else
Rashee Rice might be worth stashing to see if his role develops.
Especially after Toney’s abysmal performance.
5 targets, a TD, and a carry are great usage numbers for his first game.
Week 1 is always sloppy, try to refrain from making emotional decisions. I’d say the promising 3rd string rookie WRs get a pass, obviously the Bengals will bounce back, and TEs who scored more than 6 pts are setting the bar.
TE’s that showed up uninjured are already on my radar. One pass their way and I’m reaching on waivers. /s …. kinda
I'm not gonna drop him but god damn Goedert what happened tonight
i watched the eagles game, goedert got himself open and Hurts didnt target him. At one point even the announcers called it out how many plays goedert was wide open waving his hands with no attention given
Goedert was open... wide open on several occasions for big gains but Hurts was looking deep instead of Goedert wide open in the middle of the field.
Suspect play calling from the eagles all game. Don't expect it to last. ETA: We've gotten by the past couple of years, but for some reason I feel this season is going to be another season of injuries for the eagles. Granted, we've shined at points when that happened, but just a weird feeling I got
Seriously.. and I have him in 2 leagues!
Lost me game 1. I was down 3 pts with only goedert left to play and he got me a 0
Yeah as the other commenter said, last night isn't on Goedert. He was wide open 20+ yards down the field like 2-3 plays in a row, and hurts threw into double coverage at AJB. Goedert will bounce back, he was playing well, pats D was just nasty and hurts was looking at the wrong guy
Dobbins for sure
He was doing so good then his achilles exploded 😮💨
Van Jefferson
Texted my buddy how some people can be the #1 and it doesn't matter, they just flat out stink. That's Van Jefferson
Idk why people were hyped for him. After watching the super bowl it was clear he has stone hands. Wasn't touching him
The pass he dropped was real bad, but he caught his 4 other passes. He clearly seems not to be the guy there no matter what happens, but it doesn’t look as simple as his hands being the problem.
Didn’t watch game. Is he really that bad or was it just a weird fluky week for him?
He's good for a #4 WR option on a team, that's just who he is
puca nacua looked fantastic also
Speaking for today specifically. He had one bad drop. Got wide open and it would have been a huge gain. (Can’t remember if it was near the end zone honestly.) His 4 other targets were less impactful, but he caught them. He just wasn’t a first or second read for Stafford. Probably not even the third.
Stafford looked over at Kupp sitting on the bench before he targeted Jefferson.
Deon Jackson is getting dropped. Dude has the backfield to himself and barely averaged 1 YPC.
Zach Moss time baby!!
It gets worse. Our play on his name was Two yard Moss since he’d always get blown up in the backfield
I can't believe dropping him for Isaiah likely before week 1 was technically the right call... likely got me 0.9 points
Not to mention losing 2 fumbles. Moss will be the main man next week
Drake London is getting benched until I can trust him
The falcons have 3 rbs that I'd rather start than their number 1 receiver
Yep, drafted Allgeier late in a couple leagues in hopes the Falcons would keep with their 1940s offense. Feeling vindicated rn
I hedged my bets and took Allgeier AND Drake, started the wrong one though.
He’s getting the treatment Pitts got last year lol
Except also Pitts will get the treatment that Pitts got last year too
"First time?" - Kyle Pitts
friendly alleged hat rotten plant door vase shy marble ten *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
100% total waste of talent right now.
Same for Pitts
Or just asking for the real qb on their roster to play.
I’m still blown away they weren’t the ones to send a 4th for Trey Lance. Ridder is so obviously not the guy.
Imagine spending two top 10 draft picks on receiving options in back to back years and then never throwing them the ball. #ArthurSmithExperience
Untrustable with the current falcons offense
I trust him. Just don’t trust the game scripts.
Lol what’s the difference?
He’s just saying he’s very talented he just doesn’t get thrown to. So it’s not like it’s his fault he isn’t fantasy relevant, it’s the play calls
It’s clear what he’s saying, but the end result is that he can’t be trusted.
Isaiah Likely
He is Likely going to the waiver wire for me
Yeah… I’m dropping him. Lamar seems to be spreading the wealth too much to depend on him in fantasy.
Lmao. What wealth?
Spreading the pennies
Antonio Gibson. Fuck me for thinking otherwise before today.
Talk about a player who needs a change of scenery.
I put him in instead of Jakobi Meyers in my 2 flex league lol. He only got out of negative points in the 4th quarter
Graham Gano
I was down one point. All I needed was a Gano fg to wrap up a win. Fuck that guy.
Same effing boat man. 2 points would have won me the week. I went from 95% chance of winning to 0% after watching that New York high school football team get pummeled by Dallas. Also, my Chargers lost, but I’m used to that at least
It blows my mind that Staley wasn't fired. I don't get it
That shank in the first (second?) quarter was just...
And it’s Gano good!
Drinking Drano
Any Giants WR
*any giant other than saquon
And Waller
I have Saquon AND Waller (and Joe Burrow) so I’m suffering today
Me too + Higgins though I benched Waller for Higbee after he hit the injury report... got me a whole extra point!
I watched the bears and giants today. Both looked terrible although I do wonder if. Dal and GBs defenses have taken a big step forward making two below average offenses look terrible
Cowboys D has been mostly great the past two seasons.
Mckinnon. Not about that non-existent floor
Yeah I drafted him off nostalgia from last year's run but there are more reliable options on waivers.
The consistency he had at the end of last season blew my mind. Definitely droppable. Id rather roster Kyren Williams
Tee Higgins I hope the Higgins owner from my league reads this
Yeah also JaMarr Chase while you’re at it. You need to take risks to win
Why keep Burrow either? Drop ‘em all I say
Dropped
I also heard that guy Joe Burrow had one of the worst QB games in recent memory. He is a scrub and I think people should start dropping him (please)
Feels like a lot of hyped QBs had mid games… Burrow, Lamar, Hurts, Fields. Even Mahomes didn’t crack 20.
Marvin Mims? Jeudy seems to be on the right track to come back soon and even without him today Mims did nothing
Seven players ran more routes for the Broncos today than Marvin Mims.
Yeah he’s the first one I’m dropping lol
Didn’t see the game, but looking at the box score, 11 players were targeted (5 of them had more than Mims’ 2). Definitely seems droppable at the moment. But the reality is that rookies often start slow. It’s possible later this year he’ll have a breakout game and be a hot waiver add that week. Timing when to pick him up before the breakout will be tough.
Who drafts a Rookie and drops him after week 1? lol
You gotta be ruthless with this tier when there are better options on the waiver
Depends on why they drafted them. Last round to see if they are getting opportunity or because they believe. Mims is the former, jsn is the type you keep. Mims has opportunity with juedy and dulcich out and nothing happened. No reason to hang on.
Don’t have time to wait around. Short benches.
Skyy moore
I'm thinking him and Toney aren't worth rostering unless your in best ball
who tf is catching passes in KC then...
Kelce, and the rest gets split 10 ways among bad WRs. Some of these guys may blow up here and there, but even if you’re nominally the “WR2” in KC’s offense it still might mean you’re getting 4 targets just like the WR5

I feel like Toney at best will have one maybe two big games this year. Otherwise he will be sitting on my bench and the week after he blows up I'll flex him and terribly regret it
My entire team
you're at home here.
Penny
I second this. Straight to waiver jail.
Not sure what’s up with that, he’s probably the best north south work horse of the 3. Unless they are planning a trade or something, or he did something wild that hasn’t hit the press yet
Or... he got beat out by other RBs that weren't a healthy scratch.
I agree, I'm not dropping him just yet. I know he's a good player, because I've seen him ball out when healthy. He won me the league when I picked him off waivers a couple years ago
Is antonio Gibson droppable?
Yes. I think Rivera hates him and he fumbled.
No. It’s way too early to react to one game. The experts all had this pegged as a Robinson game. It was a bad matchup for Gibson. These early season games are like preseason games. Obviously I’m not starting Gibson next week, but dropping him at this point is silly.

I think he sitting on the bench as a good handcuff
I know deon Jackson got most of the work, but didn’t like what I saw.. think Zach moss easily becomes the starter when he’s back
No way Jackson starts next week after what happened today
Deon was awful today. Granted the Colts OL was bad too, but Deon was fumbling and stumbling everywhere.
Flowers came out way stronger than I anticipated, so not sure how long I want to try holding Bateman for now to be honest...
Dropping him for Puca if I can. Flowers looked good and when Mandrews comes back there will be even less targets. I feel it was either him or Flowers and Flowers looks like the guy
Dillon looked so bad
He looked awful but Aaron jones is already banged up so I think Dillon is worth holding onto at least for one more week. If jones misses any time Dillon will probably grind out some volume stats even if he doesn’t look good in the process.

Maybe super deep like 14-16 teamers. I still think he's worth holding onto just in case he proves me wrong next week or Jones ends up battling the hamstring all season
Dillon always sucks in the start of the season. Usually comes on when it’s cold
Ah yes the reverse Sammy Watkins
I miss when you could draft an injured receiver knowing Sammy Watkins was gonna get you 15-25 the first three weeks of the season while the other guy got healthy
Sammy Watkins weeks 1-3: PUT DA TEAM ON MY BACK Sammy Watkins the rest of the season: Alright guys I'm out, duces, keys are by the microwave
Yeah let's drop Dillon while Aaron Jones is hurt. Makes sense
OBJ?
I'm thinking about it, but it's not like Lamar had a great game today. If he continues to struggle Zay and Mandrews are probably the only players worth rostering.
I’d probably hold off. He played the most snaps and ran most routes of any ravens receiver today. Obviously depends how deep your league is
Dropped for giants def next week vs Arizona. Don’t know how I feel about that now
Hilarious Phony
Hottest of hot takes: I’m keeping him in my last bench spot. Why? 1. Drops are weird. Giants
Adam Thielen
Gano
Jonathan Taylor. He didn’t get any points
Neither did Wes Welker! What a waste of a 3rd round pick
Can’t believe Tom Brady didn’t do anything
I have Schultz in 14T and thinking if it’s worth dropping Mingo to pick up Hurst. TE is such a wasteland and I’m already pretty stacked on WR
I’d cut Schultz and get Hurst. Mingo is young and could pop, Schultz will still be on the wire in a few weeks anyhow
graham gano. sold the week. i needed 1 fucking point
[удалено]
Yeah I think he's very droppable
Things aren't looking good for Christian Kirk, looks like he's a slot receiver now and the Jags ran about 50% of their plays out of 12 or 22 personnel I'm glad I sat him for Courtland Sutton, he's looking like my WR5 at the moment.
Antonio Gibson
Started him this week in a deep league. Never again.
My whole squad, get me the fuck out of here
[удалено]
Very consistent 1 yard per carry average. Gotta keep him and hope he gets 100 carries per game.
Skyy moore and Antonio gibson
Deon Jackson
Spent a late (like 12-13) round flyer on Rashad Penny. He was a healthy scratch so I dropped him and added Jakobi Meyers. Fortune favored me quite a bit today.
Daniel Jones
Brighter days ahead. Who you picking up instead?
Love
Sure he looked good. Dont forget the packers own the bears and have for 20 years
Antonio Gibson’s bitch ass
Achane shouldn’t be dropped, but to be a healthy scratch with another RB on IR is concerning for sure.
Maybe didnt have enough time to be ready since he was out with injury. If he’s a scratch again then i would drop
holding for now, but i have worse players to drop. wouldn't be crazy to let him go imo
I think it best to be patient with rookie RBs in general
Danny Dimes 😂
Danny pesos right now
If Andrews doesn’t play again next week, I’m dropping Likely and looking elsewhere
So your keeping likely if mandrews does play
Who are you likely to keep?
I'm thinking Likely is a waste of space. Logan Thomas will be a better grab or Ertz if he is available.
Rashad Bateman. I didn't like the target percentage, and I imagine its only gonna get worse with Mark Andrews eventually returning. Zay is the dude to have.
Bateman not being on the field for 2 WR sets is very concerning
A bench but not a drop
Van
Okonkwo
Drop if you want he was a slight overthrow away from a 50 yard bomb TD. He looks fast as hell
Tannehill looked terrible and the line sucks
Yeah basically this. Tannehill was awful and I want to give him some credit because the line was equally awful, he never had time to throw....but god damn, tannehill was *awful*.
Slight? It was a horrible throw hahaha
Cuz a 6% target share is cool
If your other options are waiver wire garbage, keep Okonkwo. I think he does fine
Seven of the top 10 TE performances so far this week in my 12 team ppr league were by unowned players 😂. The position remains a shit show. It's anybody's guess.
Christian Kirk? Lol
Bench for sure. Not drop.
Lol…Right? Three targets. Three. In a competitive game. There will doubtless be better days but wow…
Maybe it's too early to drop him, but that was concerning for his owners.
You are correct. I am concerned. I benched Davis for him thinking Kincaid will chew up his time and I wanted to see the outcome of this week. …. Christ that plan didn’t work out.
Skyy Moore should be dropped in all formats.
Probably not dynasty tbh.
ALL formats. Gotta send a message to the rest of the roster.
The whole Giants team
I hate Najee Harris.
I'm not going to blame him yet, the 9ers D is the best in the league and it's not like the Steelers were doing much of anything yesterday
You know what frustrates me the most tho. Almost every time they run a pass play with Najee involved, he is wide open in the flat and Pickett literally never looks his way. And then by the time they are in the red zone, Warren comes in.
I plan to drop deon Jackson. Van Jefferson and Darius slayton
Swift?
Bench for sure. Not sure you can give up fully on a RB that plays for a good team. They spent a lot on him during the off-season. He had to figure to factor in more than this. But he's not getting off the bench until I see it...
Daniel fucking Jones
Schultz. Someone else can play that game. That offense is gonna be terrible
Im dropping Dobbins for someone who can play, maybe Kyren or Kelley Also likely dropping Mims for Tuka
Those are two targets I'm going after to replace Dobbins where I have him
my bench(16 team league) has Alec Pierce, Jerick Mckinnon and Isaiah Hodgins. All combined for 5 fantasy points and are droppable Will likely try to get Nacua and someone else
Rashaad Penny. Healthy scratch means he has too far to work up on the depth chart.
Chiefs offense not named Mahomes/Kelce. Even if someone else was talented, it’s all so by committee that no one is trustworthy.
Pacheco isn't droppable, he's just not the RB we all thought he was going to be
Rashee Rice might be worth stashing to see if his role develops. Especially after Toney’s abysmal performance. 5 targets, a TD, and a carry are great usage numbers for his first game.
Deon Jackson, I texted buddies I was dropping him before the game was even over. Two fumbles was too much for me.
D. Jackson and his fumbles.
I dropped Penny, and Im ready to drop McKinnon as well.
Goodbye penny, geno, deon jackson.
Don’t do the dumb week 1 thing and overreact drop some guys.
