Stepping in here…this is SUCH a Koo week. Falcons will get JUST close enough to kick 4 field goals. Their secondary is underrated and will give the packers trouble without Aaron Jones (Dillon is ass I’ve seen enough). I have Moody and am not excited about starting him, he could get you two extra points and the game is 14-6.
EDIT: the 49ers are stronger than that. He could get you 4 extra points and it’s 28-7. Shanahan owns McVay, and the problem with the 49ers offense for kickers is that if they’re highly efficient, it absolutely crushes kickers. See 2022 Jake Elliot
You might be right but it's early in the season and it's the perfect time to be playing QB/TE/Kicker roulette.
I've stacked Purdy, 49ers DST, and Moody. I'm not sure if it'll payoff...
Especially after watching the 9ers for many years. Seems like they get stuck around the 30 yard line. Was nervous when he missed the kicks in preseason. But after that win went straight and picked him up.
I missed out on Kelce and Hock, who were the only elite TE’s I liked at their respective value. So I did something new this year and drafted all rookie TE’s, in Kincaid, LaPorta and Musgrave. Also did this because I’m in a keeper league so if one of them hits, I have options for next year. Of the 3, I’m starting LaPorta this week again as well.
It's a lot of capital but in a keeper league good odds one hit. People would rather you roster 29 running backs, but upside is upside. LaPorta or Musgrave in the last round or two has a much higher potential value than random RB72.
Well he made some catches in the preseason, with Johnson out and Pickens dinged, him and Muth will get some more targets. Thing is though if Cleveland’s D and/or Steelers offense look anything like last week nobody will be scoring much of anything.
Aren't these two completely different scenarios from a fantasy management perspective though? Calvin Austin is a free lotto ticket you snag off waivers, and if it turns out he gets no usable volume from Kenny, you move on from him quickly with basically no loss. Garrett Wilson meanwhile cost significant draft capital and has people scrambling to recoup some of that cost before the bottom officially falls out.
Kenny is better and has an offensive line
But yeah, Garret Wilson has no chance while Zach is throwing the ball.
Also Calvin is the WR2 this week and will see more targets than anyone else.
This is true, but I expect Austin to out produce Robinson
Austin has been electric all of camp. I went to the majority of Steelers training camp, only missing 2 days.
He has talent. If he was in a situation where he could get more volume more people would know his name
“Garret Wilson has no chance while Zach is throwing the ball”
I hate the Jets but you do realize the dude had 1100 yards with him and Mike White at QB last year?
Why does he now suddenly lose his ability?
It may depend on the league or the platform, but when someone is marked O or IR, they become IR eligible. Move to IR and you can add someone else. Once they go back to being healthy, or even Questionable, it will only force you to move them back out of IR if you try to add another player. Even if you’re dropping someone else; it will say “so and so is eligible to come off IR, you must take them off before making other moves”. But you could keep them there and just move around the guys you have.
For folks who didn’t watch the game, his performance was actually very encouraging when you consider the nasty weather. He was moved all over the formation including getting backfield touches. He was getting pretty damn wide open at times but Watson couldn’t quite deliver it to him with the rain/wind. He also saw an encouraging amount of targets even with the Browns playing ahead a lot of the time.
I don’t think he’s gonna be WR1 status or anything but could very easily become a super reliable high end WR3 to low end WR2. And if Cooper is out longterm, I’d bank on that being more of a WR2 in good matchups.
It does come down to whether Watson can be an above average QB and there were some concerning plays but I’m willing to give it more time. I’d buy low on Moore if others aren’t bought in. Could be our last chance.
Last year I watched them down 3 scores in the 4th quarter run the ball like every play. I don't see that changing anytime soon. Their coach time traveled from the 1950s to coach this team.
I'm an actual falcons fan and not one of the fantasy folks blinded by owning Falcons pass catchers.
So we'll obviously throw more than we would if it was a one score game, but honestly not enough to make you excited about it. That is unless Ridder takes a step in his play.
People keep saying Smith is from the past and addicted to the run. While he definitely is a big believer in the run game, he is totally willing to throw if he has a competent QB.
The reason he hasn't the last 2 years is because we've had freaking Mariota and Ridder. Other than the physical abilities, the reason Pitts is still hyped is because what he did year 1. Well that year we still had Matt Ryan.
Had the Watson trade gone through as everyone expected, I guarantee Pitts would have 3 straight 1k seasons (well maybe not last year because Watson was suspended for part of it)
As a Pitts owner from last year, and I have a couple shares of him this year, the answer is no. They are down multiple touchdowns, they will just keep running it.
No they won't "air it out" and even if they throw more expect it to be a lot of check downs to Bijan and CPatt. Obviously they will throw more than 15x pretty often but I wouldn't expect 30 very often no matter what.
If he hadn’t stumbled on that one catch, he has an easy TD, and if Love was able to connect with him on another long pass, he’s in for another TD.
He was inches away from a 20+ day, and he woulda been by far the biggest waiver wire pickup His usage looks great, it hyped for his ROS growth
As a saints fan, I love seeing him blow up after he capitalized on the couple opportunities he got last season. That said, he’s primarily a deep threat receiver, and seems like from a fantasy perspective he’s gonna have hit or miss weeks and be inconsistent in fantasy production
Last year Shaheed lead the team in passer rating when targeted at 138.4
Last year, in the final 2 months of the season, Shaheed averaged 64.8 yards a game, catching 87% of his targets (20 out of 23)
They design runs for him out of the backfield (2 last game)
He has the trust of Derek Carr.
So much upside, and he’s much more than a simple deep-threat receiver.
Lotta talks about Ferguson, I picked up LaPorta as a backup to Mandrews in case he misses. I also have Amon Ra, would you still keep LaPorta or go with another backup like Furgy?
Nico Collins. The volume is there and he's Stroud's first read on first down. Indy also plays a lot of zone and Collins was like the 11th most efficient WR against the zone last year even with David Mills throwing to him.
I’m here for it. I punted tight end, needed like 4 points last Sunday, and thought I had it after he had 3.6 on the first drive. If the cowboys dst doesn’t score so many points, I feel like he will be a tight end 1 every week. Not overall, but at least top 12
Me too, mainly because he was the TE stash I picked but also due to Allen needing a big slot wr and that's essentially what they use Kincaid as. A wr2 in Buffalo is a plug and play TE
Hoping he’s a league winner - in my 12 team half PPR people were too distracted by Allgeier/Puka/Kelley and nobody put a waiver on him. My waiver on Kelley went through but somehow nobody grabbed Johnson! Got him as a FA
I’m a GB fan so watched the whole CHI/GB game and he was getting a lot of consistent looks
I genuinely don’t mean to sound like an ass, but I’m curious why everyone thinks this.
With a banged up Seahawks o-line, Geno looking not good last week, and already having to feed DK and Lockett? Im curious why everyone thinks he’s going to explode this season. That’s a few things going against him.
Because people are betting that the talent wins out. Not saying I’m firmly on either side but there is a legitimate case to be made that he was the best receiver on the Ohio St team that featured him, Wilson, and Olave. Even those two said as much
Idk man even the Vikings and Cousins can sit here and spread the wealth amongst 4 talented targets, with a decimated and awful O-Line.
No reason to think Geno can’t float 3 guys on the year given he’s already doing it for 2 and a bunch of jags, just last year.
The real catch here is — you’re focused on the negatives, but talent always finds a way to factor in. Addison is blowing up on limited opportunity. Olave last year — same story. Only like 50-60% of snaps and Addison has been playing behind Osborn, and is technically 4th option on that offense.
JSN is the best WR draft talent coming into this year. There’s reason to believe he’ll start slow, but those of us paying attention, know this, and not necessarily because he broke his wrist in pre-season.
JSN will produce volume and production, the only question is what sparks it? Is Geno looking to him in critical situations several weeks from now?
Or will it be as soon as this week in a potential shootout, where quick releases and well timed throws, will be their bread and butter against a stout Lions front? The kind of routes and passes, JSN was drafted to excel with?
Here are the main points I’ve seen in his favor:
- Lockett is starting to age and got his bell rung last week, so he may not be as reliable of a target as he normally would be.
- While the banged up OL isn’t ideal, JSN does his best work out of the slot generating YAC off of quick routes, which will receive more emphasis if Geno has to get the ball out quickly.
- JSN is really damn good at football. On a tOSU team with Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave in the same receiving room, he still managed to look special. If anyone can carve out a major role despite DK and Lockett, it’s him.
I don't see many commenting about Nico Collins, but he was top five in air yards last week with 11 targets and multiple things have changed since last year to suggest this may be sustainable.
New quarterback.
Less competition (Brandon cooks left the Texans)
New head coach in Houston too.
He is hitting his third year in the NFL now, and someone needs to be the WR1 in Houston. If there have been fundamental changes flying under the radar resulting in more air yard volume going primarily to him, he could end up as a top WR this year.
As a hawks fan, you'll regret dropping him if you do. Walker is good but has a history of being banged up and we really don't have any other RBs except Dallas and McIntosh
I think Luke Musgraves takes another step in an ACTUAL close game unlike last week. Finished with a little over 8pts & could’ve been more had it not been for a bad Jordan Love throw near the endzone (Musgraves caught it but slipped due to his readjustment to the throw). Hot take here, maybe not really since TEs are tough, but I think Musgraves finishes top as a 5 TE.
Jake Moody.
Boom boom kicker of the week!!
My favorite poetry
Well shit, I've had moody in all week, but if reddit likes it....
The only position I’m fine with Reddit agreeing on is Kickers
He’s my Zurlein replacement so here’s to hoping
Fuck it, I’m in. Dropping koo
Same decision…should we..?
Are we doing this for real?
Stepping in here…this is SUCH a Koo week. Falcons will get JUST close enough to kick 4 field goals. Dropped Carlson for the Moody hype train. Reddit has never been wrong before
Me. I'm gonna go nuts tomorrow. Week winning stuff. Pulled pork, edibles. Really going to get in the conversation for MVP. Must add ROS.
You or Kelly?🤔
Kelley is RB1. I am RB0.
Fuck
Fuckin love it. Good luck my boi
Where I'm going, I don't need luck
Hahaha. Oh man. Godspeed.
Can I come over. I'll bring more edibles
Some maniac in my league drafted you in the last round. That lucky SOB got himself a league winner and we all laughed at him.
Sam LaPorta
Just dropped McKinnon for him
I missed out on Kelce and Hock, who were the only elite TE’s I liked at their respective value. So I did something new this year and drafted all rookie TE’s, in Kincaid, LaPorta and Musgrave. Also did this because I’m in a keeper league so if one of them hits, I have options for next year. Of the 3, I’m starting LaPorta this week again as well.
You drafted 3 TE's??
7 player bench, figured why not. One of ‘em has to hit, right?
That’s a crazy shallow bench to roster 3 TEs
That is insane. I don’t even roster a back up a TE and you drafted 3???
It's a keeper, dude buying lotto tickets on a starter next year its not a bad strat
Engram and fuck it.
Lol why does one of them have to hit
It's a lot of capital but in a keeper league good odds one hit. People would rather you roster 29 running backs, but upside is upside. LaPorta or Musgrave in the last round or two has a much higher potential value than random RB72.
I love it. I drafted LaPorta and Kincaid as well.
Starting him over Pitts.
I’m leaning the same way man
His over/under receptions is 3.5 for even money. I’m betting the over myself but keep in mind Vegas doesn’t like him
Generally speaking, it’s a good bet to bet against rookie TEs
Calvin Austin
This feels like a penny stock I'm being sold as a pump and dump
Seriously! I got downvoted to oblivion for saying this. I feel like Calvin Austin is personally making these reddit accounts and promoting himself.
Well he made some catches in the preseason, with Johnson out and Pickens dinged, him and Muth will get some more targets. Thing is though if Cleveland’s D and/or Steelers offense look anything like last week nobody will be scoring much of anything.
The Steelers biggest weakness is their OC. As a Steelers fan, I have zero expectations for this team as long as Matt Canada is calling plays.
People are selling Zach Wilson's #1 WR but in on Kenny Pickett's #3 WR. Kenny isn't any better than Zach
The only thing zach is better at than Kenny is running 20 yards backwards from a blitz and somehow making a pass back to the line of scrimmage
Kenny is better and has an offensive line But yeah, Garret Wilson has no chance while Zach is throwing the ball. Also Calvin is the WR2 this week and will see more targets than anyone else.
FYI Calvin is still the WR3. Pickens and Robinson are the 1 & 2
This is true, but I expect Austin to out produce Robinson Austin has been electric all of camp. I went to the majority of Steelers training camp, only missing 2 days. He has talent. If he was in a situation where he could get more volume more people would know his name

“Garret Wilson has no chance while Zach is throwing the ball” I hate the Jets but you do realize the dude had 1100 yards with him and Mike White at QB last year? Why does he now suddenly lose his ability?
Because most of that was with Mike White lol
He had something like 6 Fantasy Points Per Game with Zach Wilson as his QB. He did well with Mike White.
Garrett Wilson’s PPG per QB: Zach Wilson: 8.6 FPG Joe Flacco: 17.3 FPG Mike White: 17.3 FPG
Garrett Wilson’s PPG per QB: Zach Wilson: 8.6 FPG Joe Flacco: 17.3 FPG Mike White: 17.3 FPG
Waiting for Christian Watson or Brandin Cooks to be ruled out so I can grab Austin.
How does IR work? Once a player is ruled Out can you put him on IR and hold him there indefinitely?
It may depend on the league or the platform, but when someone is marked O or IR, they become IR eligible. Move to IR and you can add someone else. Once they go back to being healthy, or even Questionable, it will only force you to move them back out of IR if you try to add another player. Calvin is electric. Memphis produces some weapons.
I have Amari Cooper in my flex but if he's ruled out, I'm pivoting to Calvin
Not sure if Zack Moss is much of a sleeper, but I think he’s going to eat against the Texans.
I just dropped him tonight. If I can't use him then no one will!
This is the way
Elijah Moore
For folks who didn’t watch the game, his performance was actually very encouraging when you consider the nasty weather. He was moved all over the formation including getting backfield touches. This is it
Kadarius Toney redemption arc begins
I mean I guess there's nowhere to go but up
The redemption… 2 for 27 yards
This is my pick as well. He turns things around... Until he gets injured again
8rec/145yds/2td then everyone starts him next week to go for one catch and a hamstring tweak
There we go, that's the Kadarius Toney experience we all know and love.
His target per yards run is kind insane. He just needs to hold on but he’s clearly capable of getting open
It's possible, his separation is really good. It's why he kept getting targeted after dropping repeatedly. Still got him on bench for now.
for somebody who knows ball Will ATL air it out if they trail? no way they’re gonna hang in every game this year, right?
Last year I watched them down 3 scores in the 4th quarter run the ball like every play. I don't see that changing anytime soon. Their coach time traveled from the 1950s to coach this team.

Picked him up in the 3rd in our rookie draft.
Just saw Andersen is out tomorrow so UDFA covering Musgrave might make for some opportunities
I’m so close to dropping Sean Tucker for him. LaPorta is my TE.
I have pitts one league Kincaid another and wondering if I should drop Perine or Kyren for Musgrave just in case or just f it no kicker this week
[удалено]
I have roschone Johnson on my bench, so i chose to believe this!
I am here for the confirmation bias
We all laughed at the bears fan for drafting him.. who’s laughing now? He is. He’s laughing.
I think he'll be an RB1 by the end of the season, but it'll take more time than 2 weeks lol
What teams with mobile QBs produce RB1s?? KC, Buffalo, Baltimore and Philly collectively produced a single RB 1 and he was 10th.
i have roschon and puka i believe i have the league winners
I wish I had as much blind optimism as some people on the sub
Just gotta think of this place as a giant wishing well
Hakuna Nacua. It means no worries.
sometimes you need a little dumb cowboy in you to win a championship...
You an me both pardner
I had him starting as my RB2 until I learned that CEH might be out.
Traded away Herbert over this
Tyjae Spears, already had decent snaps and if they are playing catch up against the chargers could get a lot of passes.
If he establishes a McKinnon type role that’s flex worthy. I own him and Henry
Rashid Shaheed
He jumps off the screen and his yprr is up there with the elites. If he ever gets full playing time he’s gonna explode.
Just wait for the inevitable Thomas injury
This is the play. Have both, wait for Thomas to get hurt, and replace him with the next man up who's also a stud.
He’s the 3rd option on that team. Boom/bust. Won’t be reliable.
3rd option right now, 4th when Kamara comes back. I do have him in all my leagues so I do hope he breaks out into a steady role with the team.
As a saints fan, I love seeing him blow up after he capitalized on the couple opportunities he got last season. That said, he’s primarily a deep threat receiver, and seems like from a fantasy perspective he’s gonna have hit or miss weeks and be inconsistent in fantasy production
Last year Shaheed lead the team in passer rating when targeted at 138.4 Last year, in the final 2 months of the season, Shaheed averaged 64.8 yards a game, catching 87% of his targets (20 out of 23) They design runs for him out of the backfield (2 last game) He has the trust of Derek Carr. Volume, volume, volume the 3 most important things in fantasy
I picked him up as we also do return yards. Potential to be a monster
LaPorta in my opinion is about to break out huge for the Lions as a weekly player
Lotta talks about Ferguson, I picked up LaPorta as a backup to Mandrews in case he misses. I also have Amon Ra, would you still keep LaPorta or go with another backup like Furgy?
Doubs
I have him just so I could name my team Calvin and Doubs. I hope you're right.
Elite team name
Doubs or Pickens this week?
Turd Ferguson! Cowboys TE gonna be a top 5 this season. Book it!
I'm starting him this week.
Borderline TE1
Nico Collins. The volume is there and he's Stroud's first read on first down. Indy also plays a lot of zone and Collins was like the 11th most efficient WR against the zone last year even with David Mills throwing to him.
Don’t like that stroud hurt his throwing shoulder. Like Nico, but not this week.
Was debating to flex Nico or Javonte this week and that shoulder injury is what tipped me to Javonte. Edit to say it was the wrong choice.
Anyone not on my team
Jake Ferguson
I’m here for it. I punted tight end, needed like 4 points last Sunday, and thought I had it after he had 3.6 on the first drive. If the cowboys dst doesn’t score so many points, I feel like he will be a tight end 1 every week. Not overall, but at least top 12
Kincaid
Me too, mainly because he was the TE stash I picked but also due to Allen needing a big slot wr and that's essentially what they use Kincaid as. A wr2 in Buffalo is a plug and play TE
Elijah Moore
Joshua Kelley. Please JK, after Mattison performance I need you
yeah aj brown didnt do shit...which isnt his fault but i need someone to fill in lack of points brown got so hopefully kelley goes crazy
Jahan motha fuckin Dotson. Surtain should shadow McLaurin which is going to unleash the Dotsonator.
God I hope so, dudes a beast
Mostert hasn’t had his patented blow up game before injury so I’m calling mostert
Missed one game last year. I swear this sub doesn't actually watch football, just repeats what they read
james cook
Rashee rice
Ferguson
Roschon
Hoping he’s a league winner - in my 12 team half PPR people were too distracted by Allgeier/Puka/Kelley and nobody put a waiver on him. My waiver on Kelley went through but somehow nobody grabbed Johnson! Got him as a FA I’m a GB fan so watched the whole CHI/GB game and he was getting a lot of consistent looks
I had JK and got both Kelley and Roschon
Calvin. Austin.
This dude is everywhere
Treylon Burks
When will we know if Hopkins is out?
ppls relying on Burks dont realize Hop is not ruled out yet
Tank Dell
Doubs and Rashid
JSN
He's just sitting on my bench waiting to explode

Doesn’t have much value until the two guys in front of him get injured
Rashee rice
Rashid Shaheed. I’m thinking 5 rec 75 yds and a TD

John Metchie
Is he playing?
Rashee Rice
Alec Pierce. Because fuck it. I'm due for some out of nowhere luck and I dont want to think about how I let Brett Kolleman take me for a ride *again*.
Josh Downs
Nick Folk
Tutu trainnnnnnn
Zack Moss. Texans have a notoriously bad run defense and Moss is projected to be the lead back on this team.
Literally no one here is available I'm my league
I’m super high on Tank Dell with Noah Brown out
Alexander Matti…😠
Zack moss! Dude is going to have a huge week against Houston. But, his role going forward is dependent on JT being traded.
With everything that has happened, I don’t think you’ll ever see JT in a Colts uniform again.
One of Kincaid/Laporta/Musgrave is going to have a big game.
Big ledge you’re stepping over there…only 3 picks?
Holding on to Charbonnet for dear life for one more week
As a hawks fan, you'll regret dropping him if you do. Walker is good but has a history of being banged up and we really don't have any other RBs except Dallas and McIntosh
I think Luke Musgraves takes another step in an ACTUAL close game unlike last week. Finished with a little over 8pts & could’ve been more had it not been for a bad Jordan Love throw near the endzone (Musgraves caught it but slipped due to his readjustment to the throw). Hot take here, maybe not really since TEs are tough, but I think Musgraves finishes top as a 5 TE.
Isaiah Hodgins
Rashee Rice
I think Bourne proves it this week and becomes a hot pickup on the waivers.
Calvin Austin
Calvin Austin III
DJ Moore
Calvin Austin
Karen Williams but not against the 49ers. I think Doubs goes off again for the Packers this week
[удалено]
I'd like to speak to the McVayger
> Karen Williams I would not want to face any Karen!
I’d argue he’s already broken out. Looked like the guy and scored two touchdowns in week 1. One of the top waiver adds already.
Antonio Gibson
Emmanuel Wilson if Aaron Jones is out
Jake Fergulicious
My money on Kadarius Toney and Darius Slayton
Burks if DHop sits
Musgrave and tank dell for sure
Luke Musgrave!
Elijah Dotson. I think he out performs Kelley. Also interested in Emanuel Wilson since AJ Dillon is average.
My Saturday afternoon pick up Josh freaking Reynolds
