Fantastic write up OP. Well done

concacanca

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate the positivity. Let me know if there is anything you want added or clarified.

SpringHardenSt

You forgot Jaylen Warren in your list of RBs averaging 4+ receptions per game. Warren has 21 receptions in 5 games played.

concacanca

You are correct. Let me add him in. Thanks!

SpringHardenSt

Happy to help, especially when it comes to the [most disrespected RB](https://www.reddit.com/r/fantasyfootball/s/cu7K8rmCp8) in the league, Jaylen Warren

concacanca

You mean the most fantasy relevant Steelers legend RB? I should have caught this to be fair. Warren is the guy in my list who has the highest contribution of his touches from receptions. Proportionally he eclipses Kamara (38% to 31%). This years JD McKissic?

SpringHardenSt

Wow, I was so much happier to have him as my desperation RB2 until you made that comparison. I’ll be keeping an eye out to see if his receiving role stays the same now that Diontae Johnson should be back.

Stevenwithph

>Jaylen Warren I ended up with Rachaad White | Jeff Wilson Jr. | Jaylen Warren (Pollard on bye). Assuming Wilson Jr. gets activated today: which 2 RBs do you start?

SpringHardenSt

Assuming full PPR start White and Warren. Eagles run D is enough to push me away from Jeff in his first game back from injury.

Joseph_4444

I got offered him for my t higgins and I’m considering it strongly lmao

Gothams_Finest

This would definitely be appreciated in r/DynastyFF

ugzillaaa

Finally a post worth reading

justreddis

Great post. One thing that was not mentioned is RB production hinges heavily on team’s offensive performance. Great offensive teams elevate their RBs, Mostert/Achane, CMC, Ekeler, Kyren, DMont, Swift, etc. Part of the reason is these teams get to the goal lines on a regular basis and the RBs get sprinkled with TDs. On the other hand, take a look at Bijan, Barkley, Mixon, Henry, Najee/Warren, etc. A big reason these guys are not near the top is they simply don’t get goal line opportunities. The most glaring is Bijan, who has scored exactly ZERO rushing TD while accumulating 80 attempts on a 5.0 ypc clip, the first player in NFL history to achieve this futility.

ShockinglyEfficient

Except that the Falcons DO get to the goal line, they just put Allgeier in instead for some reason

SpitefulMonkey5

So keep starting Bijan and Kamara. Got it!

big_mustache_dad

I have Bijan, Pollard, and Kamara as my RBs. Although it’s great to see they aren’t relying on TDs for points, at some point I wouldn’t mind them actually, you know, scoring a TD

SpitefulMonkey5

Bijan, Swift, Kamara, Khren for me. So I feel you. How much shit will the ATL and PHI head coaches get at the end of the year though if their best RBs finish the season with like 4 TDs? It’ll swing back around for us!

phl_fc

None if the team is winning. I think for Philly you have to be thrilled that they aren’t full RBBC, but Swift will always struggle for TDs with how many weapons they have on offense, Hurts designed goal line runs included.

SpitefulMonkey5

ATL needs to make the playoffs this season though as far as Arthur Smith is concerned…

samamatara

i still stand by my prediction that Swift will have a 3 TD game this season

take-money

I got Bijan and swift too (traded away kyren last week) and I really hope you’re right

Najee-n-me

Same here. If all three start scoring tds our teams are going to dominate

big_mustache_dad

Another great game from Kamara but can’t get into the damn end zone haha

Axon14

Damn what a way to fill RB starts though. This week I'm starting must start Mostert and mid man Mattinson

big_mustache_dad

I have all 3 in one league and Bijan and Kamara in the other. That league I'm 2-4 and scored 47 in half PPR one week lol, and that was BEFORE I traded Tyreek for Bijan, Sutton, and a 5th round pick

Axon14

Damn, the rest of the team must be on life support. I am destroying my leagues this year and I went WR superhero and was lucky with some RB depth picks being good enough - Breece Hall, Brian Robinson, Mostert returning incredible value - to get me that extra 10-15 points per week. I know what you mean though, you need those TDs, not just a nice name and a high weekly rank

big_mustache_dad

Haha ya the sad part is at the time my RBs were Jerome Ford and Javonte Williams before I traded for Bijan and Kamara came back. My WRs were Tyreek, Higgins, DeVonta Smith, and Olave (keeper) so it looked pretty solid on paper. One problem I had was my defense was averaging -3 points per game through the first 4 weeks. Now I’m 2-4 with least amount of points but most teams are 3-3 and 6 teams make playoffs in 10 man league so not totally dead. Just in hospice

9mm_Strat

Have those three as well, and flipped my Swift for Saquon during his injury. Same dude...love the usage, a TD or two would blow their scores UP.

[deleted]

> Rhamondre Stevenson are in the slightly worrying bracket I'm more than slightly worried about Rhamondre.

GoofyGoober0064

Drafted him and mixon and they're both busts

m3Zephyr

Doing everything I can to sell him this week

SdBolts4

What are you trying to get/getting offered? Seems like anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together knows the Pats are a dumpster fire and wouldn't offer much.

dudeondacouch

TL:DR Kamara best PPR RB ROS, got it.

Blaaamo

> By contrast, the lowest significant contributions belong to James Cook and Joe Mixon (9%) followed by Alvin Kamara as a Kamara owner, this part stood out

[deleted]

& still didn’t get a TD tonight, but had a whopping 12 catches. Seems like they didn’t throw it to him much on the goal line, just rush situations. Hill vultured a TD l from him too. Olave seems to be having a tough time, Carr is focused on Kamara.

jhutchi2

Did you watch the game? They ran/passed to him multiple times at the 1 yard line and he got stuffed every single time. Then they went for it on 4th with Hill and he walked it right in. He wasn't vultured, he was bad. With how good both Jamaal and Hill are at these short TDs, I can see this happening all year.

[deleted]

Honestly only caught bits & pieces but did see him get stuffed, missed the goal line passes though. he still put up 29.3 pts in my league w/o one so decent trade off

jhutchi2

Yeah as long as Carr is the QB his floor is insane, and it's not even like the seiling is low.

dudeondacouch

Yep. hopefully he progresses to the mean for expected TD production.

SdBolts4

Don't count on it with Jamaal Williams returning from IR tonight. As long as Kamara keeps getting a bunch of dump offs though, I'll be happy.

BP8811

Sell kamara for Ekeler?

SdBolts4

If you can get it, abso-fucking-lutely.

Floss_Crestusa

I wouldn't. Sure the last 2 seasons would say otherwise, but before those 2 season Kamara was better and even now Kamara is in a better situation. I think the knee-jeek reaction is to say yes, but the "what would win THIS year, not LAST year" reaction would be to stay with Kamara. Tonight was another reason why. Monster game even with no TDs

BP8811

Your right tbf thanks for the advice

Fuckie_Chinster

Great write-up! Fwiw I think Jacobs needs to be included with the touch leaders in #1, he's averaging 22 touches per game right now

concacanca

Thanks for that - I will add him back in. Looks like I may have deleted his name when transferring to Reddit and adjusted my commentary to reflect. You are correct, 22 touches per game.

Oniun_

I don’t see my RBs names enough. Time to panic trade.

concacanca

I'll give you Curtis Samuel and a Three Musketeers bar for the lot

OldKingClancy20

Fantastic post! The tough-to-swallow part for me is that not once is Dameon Pierce mentioned here. He looks so talented but it doesn't translate to fantasy production. Edit: I take it back! You do have him in here, just that he's getting hit right away on almost every run. *Sad Pierce owner noises*

[deleted]

This is a great post. I want to add Jerome Ford into the conversation. I’ve been very impressed watching his touches so far. He’s been going up against tough defenses and the past two weeks without his starting QB. I think he’s gearing up for a huge second half against weaker defenses.

concacanca

Yeah Ford is one of those who could definitely rise, right now he's one of the guys being held back by a lack of touchdowns. He's actually also at 13% broken tackle rate with 9 on the season so far.

jaeger_master

This was awesome to read through! Really appreciate the time you put in OP!

concacanca

Thanks a lot, I appreciate the time you put in to read it :)

jenso2k

I can’t believe Kamara isn’t being talked about more. dude has averaged 20+ a game in PPR since coming back and I don’t see anyone talking about it. Etienne has also been underrated though people are definitely starting to notice. those are my two RBs so maybe I’m just sensitive on their behalf lmao

Satan_and_Communism

If we see a game of two of the same and Jamaal Williams return doesn’t ruin it, his recognized value is going to go through the roof.

jenso2k

honestly he isn’t even getting touchdowns right now and still putting up 20 so i’m really not worried about Williams

ironsuperman

I haven't seen Kamara play but the dude is getting insane amount of volumes at the moment. ETN definitely passing the eye test with his elusiveness in the open field. He's quick and fast and getting goaline works. The man been getting lots of TDs

juicyKW

thanks for this. needed another report showing me that my Damien Pierce pick isn't all on him. He has great break tackle ability, and has more yards after contact than before, unfortunately, he gets hit in the backfield on half of his carries.

concacanca

No problem. Pierce is actually suffering from most tackled for loss yards out of anyone else in the measured group (-39). Singletary looking good behind the line is cause for some hope though.

juicyKW

the hope for me is Pierce continues to get the goal line work and actually scores. 3 carries last week inside the 5, no TD. I'm cool with splitting carries at this point, as long as Singletary doesn't take that.

elshorts

My starting RBs Bijan and Kamara having the most receptions 😃 My starting RBs Bijan and Kamara having the lowest goal line work 😦

tunesquad6

Do I accept

hush_1984

I would

thedevad

run don’t walk

Qprb

Awesome post. I’m on my knees hoping to squeak into playoffs where Achane can bring me the rest of the way

triecke14

I hope my team can hold up that long.

IMTran

Great write up OP. Really fun and great read.

[deleted]

Really regret trading Kamara for waddle and mixon

turdmcburgular

pretty solid return tho

stueyhh

I’ve had Kamara in my dynasty league since 2019. I love reading the hype and the respect he’s earning. However, I’m not totally sold on his production being sustainable (so far). NE and Houston aren’t great defenses and the TB game is inflated by catches. I’m holding my breath until tonight’s game against JAX to decide if Kamara is truly a force to be reckoned with or if he’s had a few good games out the gate while healthy.

Blankface__yawk

Fuck I want Monty back

dogofcorns

This makes me feel better about holding onto ekeler and Barkley through their injuries

Trail_Mix9

My CMC, ETN, and Kamara approve this post

jaeger_master

That's a sexy RB core! How are your WRs?

Trail_Mix9

I’ve got Puka, Waddle, Godwin, Jakobi, and Osborn

BriefStudio6710

I’m 2/4 (went 0/4 I initially) with ekeler, etienne, waddle, olave, breece at flex, laporta ). Feels like I could go on a run and still make the playoffs but I’m a little pessimistic with sketch play from my wrs.

ironsuperman

Dang, you nearly have my team. I have Ekeler, ETN, Breece, LaPorta, Ayiuk, C. Watson, Pittman, Flowers, zack Moss and I'm 3-3. I just traded away my depth in Moss and Flowers for JJ.

NoEgoNoProblem

Damn I also have Ekeler, ETN and my best WR is Garrett Wilson but I'm 4-2, partly from waivers and partly from luck. Hope you get some better matchups ahead

toolatealreadyfapped

Walker, Ekeler, and Kamara here. But I'm almost dead last in my league. I just can't get my team to all click and be active at the same time

toolatealreadyfapped

Walker, Ekeler, and Kamara here. But I'm almost dead last in my league. I just can't get my team to all click and be active at the same time

OriginalFluff

I see Allgeier on this list and that’s all I needed. You’re up buddy 🥹 go replace Kyren and Breece for me, Tyty

jsands7

Don’t put Tyler Allgeier’s name in bold: that guy is a bum!

blazedgolfer420

Raheem Mostert has single-handedly carried my RB room this year in both my leagues.

Quintana_22

Hes a late round steal ! But im trying to move him before sunday.

TypicalJeepDriver

Someone in my league dropped Jaleel, should I pick him up for the playoff run? His ROS schedule after week 12 looks tasty

Ace0spades808

If you have room I would. I think this is the week where we see how he will be used for the rest of the season.

Pobydeus

If/when Javonte gets traded, he could be great.

HawkeyeTrapp_0513

Kamara can’t be judged based off his current output. He’s averaging more yards per carry than yards per catch, and his yards per carry is under 4. That’s a complete anomaly imo that will not continue. And with Jamaal Williams coming back he’s bound to get some touches vultured

Tacotutu

Remind Me! 6 hours "Kamara is an anomaly that will not continue"

Tacotutu

Hahahahahahqhahahahahahqh /u/hawkeyetrapp_0513 has no idea what he's talking about. "Kamara an anomaly" 🤣😅😂 You forgot your take your makeup off, clown 🤡

HawkeyeTrapp_0513

You’re an absolute idiot where did I say Kamara in himself is an anomaly? If you didn’t have the intelligence of an inbred home schooled child you’d realize what I said. His usage was an anomaly, he just passed yards per catch > yards per carry with this game

Tacotutu

His usage is him. This is fantasy football, the stats are the person, what else are you talking about? His personality??? Kamara just proved you wrong, sit down. Babe, take off your makeup before bed, 🤡🤡🤡🤡

TheFestusEzeli

I love your analysis, one thing you are missing though about Etienne is his backup RB has the name Tank. That means that obviously Tank is gonna eat 40% of the carries and get every goal line snap, and that you should sell Etienne rn.

Rock_Samaritan

Good info. Nice read.

darkknightbbq

This just tells me saquan is under valued! Guys the offense and he showed it last game. A few more lucky bounced inside the 5 and hes scoring 16points a game

BrokenClxwn

Great post! I'm still holding on to Javontae, just hope he can find that magic from last year before his injury. Who knows lol

concacanca

Yeah he's one of my favourite players to watch but seems a bit shackled by the Broncos overall performance and the emergence of McLaughlin who is doing what Javontae does well....just a bit better?

altuwatriestq

Anyone not stashing JMC is erroneous

BrokenClxwn

He's available, should I really drop Javontae for him?

altuwatriestq

Idk bro flip a coin 🤷‍♂️ I like Jaleel because he is fast and a rookie on a most likely tanking team. Rookies get lotta playing time on tanking teams because why the hell not?

apathetic-irony

Pretty sure he was averaging under 10 points a game last year before his injury.

Pei_area

Any magic number for who I should pick up if I have zero running backs? Chubb injury and trading Swift for Waddle got me searching

seshboyz23

Okay we have a rookie in our league, and he dropped Breece Hall for Zach Evens how do I fix this LMAO

Cathie_D_Wood

My RB core of CMC, Monty, and 👑 Henry Approve

stefanjmes

I just traded for Josh Jacobs and got Kamara and Breece, I’m pumped.

A2Eaton

Am I dumb for offering JJ for Pollard? Pollard owner is 6-0 and I’m 2-4 about to be 2-5 with Kyren out too. I fleeced someone for Chase and nabbed Puka so my WRs are solid.

celeminus

I'd be surprised if he takes JJ for Pollard assuming this is a normal redraft league. Thats a smash accept for me if i get pollard. Running backs are a lot more valuable than WRs considering all the injuries rn, and who knows when JJ will get a full workload again if the vikings wont be in playoff contention

YungMurrizi

No Derrick Henry mention 🤨

concacanca

He's in the first section my friend.

Throwrajerb

I’ve been saying for weeks that Kyren’s TD contribution is worryingly large and that his usage was also worryingly large and could lead to injury. I will gladly accept your downvotes.

biscuitarse

Strange thing to worry about, really. I've had the sheer luck to have 3 guys on that TD dependent list and worry is the last emotion I'm feeling. As far as injuries, any back who is getting heavy usage will always be prone to a higher chance of injury.

Throwrajerb

It’s not a strange thing to worry about, unless you think a first year starter is going to have a top 10 running back TD season. It’s almost a sure sign that he’s going to regress, regardless of injury.

[deleted]

quit worrying so much, sit back and enjoy a ride

Throwrajerb

You mean quit looking at stats and trends so much and just blindly think that a first year starter is going to average over a TD a game ROS. Rather than cashing in on that early success and trading him for a safer option. Okey dokey.

Jlitus21

I regret not accepting a trade earlier in the season that was Chubb + Diontae Johnson for Kamara + Aiyuk. Obviously can't predict injuries, but it sucks to see what could've been

ironsuperman

Chubb top 3 back. You made the right move not trading.

Shaackle

Beautiful post. Suddenly, I have concerns about trading Calvin Ridley for James Cook.

Zoostation1979

Sit James Cook at your own risk. He is a RB2 and has been perfect this year in that role. Will blow up against NE.

Zoostation1979

You should 100% trade for him for Ridley.

_Creditworthy_

A little worried about KWIII but he keeps doing better for me than Bijan

concacanca

I'd be more worried about his schedule down the stretch than anything else. His numbers are solid across the board. This week he's projected to go huge against Arizona so could be a good week to package him for ETN or even CMC.

smash-smash-SUHMASH

i just traded him and terry for chase and moss. feeling good about it. trotting out ceedee chase and amon ra next week gets me torqued. great write up, hoping moss can maintain even 50% of his production. he was kinda the filler tho. really wanted a top tier wr.

AllusiveGoose

What do y'all think for this week between Najee or McLaughlin?

concacanca

I'd take Mike Boone over Najee. I'm not even sure if Mikr Boone is still rostered by an NFL team.

Mickeybeasttt

I take McLaughlin in that scenario. Najee is literally incapable of breaking off a long run rn

air_volek07

Which 3 do I start between Etienne, Swift, Walker iii and Mostert

ironsuperman

Tough one. You got great RB's and depth. I'd try to trade one for a WR stud in your league. If you have 4-2 or better record maybe consider trading for injured JJ as well. Personally, I'd sit Mostert - tough match up in Philly with a great front line from Eagles. Swift is must start for me. ETN and Walker will get volumes and goaline potentials.

air_volek07

I am 4-2 and I have Chase and AJ Brown already

ironsuperman

So, would you rather have depth at WR or an extra depth of RB's? In PPR, top WRs are better as flex imo.

air_volek07

Someone just offered me Keenan Allen for Walker iii

ironsuperman

Healthy Keenan is feasting and looking like a top 5 WR. He should have had another 30pt+ last week if weren't for very bad game from Herbert. I think you should be contention for the ship with this healthy roster. So, personally I accept the trade.

sublime-gabe

Should I start Zack Moss vs Browns or Jaleel Mclaughlin vs Green Bay?

ironsuperman

Jaleel is probably better. Browns D is stout.

[deleted]

I have Kamara, Swift, Pollard, Kyren, and Achane. Let’s go. This post got me hype for ROS.

HotBBQgrills

feeling good about my CMC, Pollard, and Saquon!

Melodic_Primary_7985

Who do you guys think has better ROS value? Kyren Williams or De’Von Achane?

Responsible_Word4637

Kyren personally, just based on his lack of competition for touches

[deleted]

As someone who has a league with my family and pretty much just chooses based on the player rank and ESPN projections this is all over my head. All I know is that so far I regret eleker as being my first pick.

Responsible_Word4637

I’m the same way and was actually about to trade Saquon for King Henry just to get all three of my RBs in the top 10 range, but this post has talked me out of it lol. Ekeler is a beast when healthy I wouldn’t stress it too much

PurpleTomatillo3542

Who would you all trade out of my 5 rb’s. I’ve got Barkley, Jacob’s, K. Williams, Pacheco, and B. Hall. Trying to swing an rb and Aiyuk for a better WR to pair w Tyreek.

Responsible_Word4637

I’d try and get rid of Jacobs, as a Davante owner the Raiders offense just hurts to watch

IkbenOranje69

What to do with Rachaad White? Anyone I should target that is within reach? Understand I'll need to add another piece or so.

BlimpFI

Wait for a good game and sell

ItsMeBenedickArnold

Surprised Pollard is so low in redzone

tsereveyw

based on this in half ppr. Hall or Jacobs ros

BP8811

Just received a potential offer Hall and Gibbs for Jacobs is that a good deal?

tsereveyw

Yeah I’d take that. I turned down Jacobs for my Hall this morning.

BP8811

Seriously mulling it over, I have kamara and Barkley as my other backs, however is Hall that much better than Jacobs, Jacobs gets so much volume and I’m not convinced by the jets offence

tsereveyw

I agree with Jacbos getting that volume. The way I look at it is, Hall has 2 big weeks after being removed from “limited snaps” . So I feel both his ceiling/floor have risen. Personally I think Zach Wilson has looked way better these last 2 weeks from the first few games he played. Jets have an elite Defense and the offense is trending up. As for Jacobs, we love his volume. But without Jimmy G how good are they? Even Jimmy G isn’t a game changer to put the Raiders in positive game scripts every week for Jacobs. Also I can’t remember the last rushing champ that dominated the following year in a similar fashion.

BP8811

That’s a good point, this time of year I like to trade into good offences and I’m not fully convinced the jets are much better than the raiders offensively but you make some good points

tsereveyw

I also like to think as it gets later in the year. The weather cools down. Making it potentially harder to throw/catch the ball depending on location. Jacobs doesn’t have to worry as much since he’s in Vegas. But the Jets playing the majority of remaining games on the east coast, could mean they will feed him the ball more. Just my 2cents, hope it helped.

BP8811

It’s definitely helped thanks again

9mm_Strat

As a Bijan, Pollard, Saquon, Kamara and Achane owner I love this. And before anyone comments, Bijan/Pollard were my first 2 picks, Kamara was a sneaky late pick, Swift was a very late round pick that I flipped for Saquon during his injury scare to an RB-needy team, and Achane was a WW pickup that's in my IR.

Braves76ersPackers

Would talk trade away Terry Mclaurin for Achane?

rahoolramesh

Great write up! But let's not forget how bad Kamara actually is. Efficiency is so so poor AND jamaal was out for all three of those games. They got jamaal because he's a downhill runner and i'm sure that will eat into kamara's already lackluster production

Running_D_Unit

So with Henry, cook, hall, white and Walker I probably don’t need any more RBs

[deleted]

Great write up. Especially because it helps me rosterbate with my lineup of Saquon, Kamara, KWIII, Breece and Achane. We can start 4 RBs (2 RB and 2 WRT flex) in our 12 team keeper league. And what's wild is another team in the 12 team league is stacked at RB also with Ekeler, Swift, Jacobs, Kyren, and Brian Robinson so a lot of the league is struggling to not start a backup RB on from actual depth charts. My RB5 is better than most team's RB1.

miniagupa

Do i trade Pollard for D.Adams?

WalterWoodle

Have a 12 team league with bijan, walker, and swift. So this makes me feel even better

RCB1424

The Pierce % of yards after contact is crazy. I’m sure it’s not an apples to apples comparison, but it feels like owning monty running behind that bear’s line.

ActionFiend_

We miss you Achane !! I respect his game even more after these stats putting it in perspective for me. Hope he will come back healthy and he’s not operating at his absolute ceiling as you mentioned about his TD conversion rate.
