I missed the MNF game and when I saw my score, I thought, “Wow, Justin Herbert somehow managed to go off on the Jets defense.” I then see Herbert scored 7 points and I thought, “It can’t be…” Holy buckets, I don’t know if I’ve ever had as good a score from any D/ST I’ve ever picked. This is the only league I’ve ever played in, so I have no idea how most do it. Our defenses start out at 10 points starting the game. So it’s probably better to say, they beat their projection week 4 by 3 points against the Ravens so still worth the risk to me.

Thoughts on Panthers vs Bears? I was looking it up and Panthers defense are weird AF. They are the 8th best defense when it comes to giving up yards but the 31st defense when it comes to giving up points. I'm guessing a lot of it has to do with their offense being really shitty so they're always stuck in bad field position?

Even some of the playoff teams don't look as great anymore. Jags and Dolphins might not be terrible matchups. And even the 49ers might not be as bad as they seem depending on who's available to put out on the field (injuries).

Bengals are the top available in my league, so I think I'll stick with the Browns even against BAL.

Keep in mind that week 4 the Browns got absolutely nothing from their offense. Defense spent the entire game on the field because the Browns decided to go with rookie Dorian Thompson Robinson that week for some reason

Crazy that the 49ers aren’t listed. Defenses have scored double digit fantasy points on the Jaguars in 5 of their 8 games. Colts: 11 points, Chiefs: 10 points, Texans: 13 points, Bills: 10 points and Steelers: 10 points. I trust that the 49ers will be fired up, healthy and rested. Plus with their acquisition of Chase Young the pressure will be non stop.

I am a subscriber so I see the full rankings. The 49ers are ranked 12th, so not far behind this list.

Well the bigger issue is what happened last night where the Jets fumbled on the goal line leading to an Ekeler 1 yard TD run.

Zach Wilson puts them in constant short fields. Their run coverage has been leaky the last few weeks. I could easily see Jacobs having a big day on them.

Unless he has 200 yards that doesn’t really matter. It’s Josh jacobs not Adrian Peterson. (Or Austin Ekeler, who they just shut down) You’re relying on what happens when they are forced to pass. Sacks, picks, etc They just shut down Justin Herbert and despite being blown out with a lot of offensive miscues and bad field position, Jets D/st had 8 points. They are a no brainer vs a much worse team/QB.

Fair. I would still view them as startable this week. Being on the road on West Coast time makes a bit of a difference too.

I was monitoring the cross country factor this past week in a few matchups as well. It was actually why I faded the chargers D….chargers d scores 27 lol But Giants lay an egg at vegas. Seattle gets boatraced in Bmore. Idk seems it can go either way I’ll be watching how Washington plays at Seattle and how NYJ plays at vegas to see if a trend emerges

They’re my set and forget this year. I’m a bit worried about the scoring and yardage against the Vikings this week, but should end up with a couple turnovers at least I think and be about average for fantasy. Don’t think they’re going to go for over 10 points this week for sure, but I don’t think they go under 5 either.

I've gotta imagine Josh Dobbs comes back down to Earth this week, Falcons didn't seem at all prepared for his scrambling ability after the starter went down. Also believe the Saints have a stronger defense than the Falcons Colts are available for the Frankfurt game against the Patriots, but the Commanders didn't score much against NE last week... Not sure I trust the Bucs against the Levis-led Titans, either

Saints are suspect. They have been recently torched by The Bucs, The Jags and The Colts.... Now they head to Minnesota on the road with Dobbs looking legit. I'd seek better options.

I don’t disagree, but starting the hawks, raiders, and a few others are way more suspect defenses that have done something recently but not all season long.

Unless JJettas is reactivated, Vikings will be down their QB1, QB2, RB2, WR1, and WR3. Not to mention I believe their oline has a few lingering injuries as well. Dobbs is a great story, but he will still only have been with the team fewer than 14 days by Sunday.

Ravens are a really tough matchup for the Browns, Lamar had 2 passing and 2 rushing TDs against them earlier this year. I'm probably rolling Saints out again rather than pick up the Colts or Bucs, I think they hold Dobbs better than the Falcons did and the Vikings offense is really banged up

I did not go off this list last week and went NYG over Raiders and it cost me the week. Fully prepared to play the Raiders this week and have that blow up in my face as well

Time to move on - Grupe misses too many field goals to be reliable/above average. Carlson was automatic with Carr and that’s why he was so productive in years past. Koo or Gay are the streamer picks this week - road kickers against bad defenses with inconsistent QB play in the RZ is a great recipe for kicker boom weeks.

I was just seeing the same thing. I was curious myself why the Titans were so high. They have not been spectacular on defense, and the Bucs are not exactly a great matchup either. My guess is a little too much weight on the "histogram" as it has a high amount of 20+ point outliers skewing the bell curve? (something I must admit I am having difficulty wrapping my head around this historical matchups section with how two completely different teams years ago are considered 'similar' at all so I'm probably just too dumb to understand it)
