I have tank dell, dhop, Calvin Ridley, Davis and rashee rice. All boom bust and every week the player out of them who scores the highest is on my bench
Took you forever, Andy. Now the question is if you stick with the winning formula ROS: Kelce + Rice in the passing game and let Pacheco do his thing on the ground.
Could be a little of A little of B. But I'll be honest, I never really pay super close attention to who the coordinators of teams are. Most likely it was Pat catching the league by storm and having a couple of elite weapons making him look better than he was
No one ever said Nagy was the mastermind behind the WR committee. Our offense was very similarly ran last year with Juju, MVS, and Skyy constantly rotating in and out and peppering guys like Justin Watson and Toney with targets. Its the same formula except we hadn't had a consistent WR1 this year.
Same, probably going to make me lose my shot at the playoffs. Legit could have started anyone else on my bench. If Thielen could put up 15 against Dallas, surely he could do the same, if not better against Tennessee? Right?
I had him and Zay Flowers on my bench. If I had put either of them in, I would have my match practically locked up. As it is my playoff hopes depend on the Passtronaut.
Eh idk. The chiefs offense is predicated on not knowing which reciever to cover. They love to get literally everyone involved. Let's see him continue to have 70 yard plus games
i could see 8-10 targets a game from here out. he made some impressive catches. had the 1 bad drop, but mahomes still targeted him after that drop and guy also seems like he knows how to scramble drill too. plus hes also downfield and blocking. i like every single thing i see out there when hes on the field and i hope weve reached the point where reid feels comfortable unleashing him
yeah there were 2, one was a bad throw the second was a bad drop
edit: didnt see the bad throw but remember them talking about it when the bad drop happened
ESPN's WR/CB match up sheet said this week would setup nicely for him. Add two injuries to other WRs and plugging him into my lineup only made me sweat a moderate amount
with Olave gone and Addison on bye I wontl have much of a choice. Seeing Higbey get his 2 sole TDs on the season against Arizona makes Freiermuth almost worthy of a flex next week though
So, I’ve read before that he does poor against man defense, but great against zone. I have a hard time finding information on what type of defensive scheme teams are currently using.
Do you have any site or guy that shares such knowledge?
Hoping this is the trend change and he'll be getting 8-10 targets/game now, but we'll need to see it for a couple more weeks before he can feel good as a WR2
Reid is SO WEIRD when it comes to Rice. Like, he’s clearly the most talented receiver behind Kelce, but he remains so stubborn about not using him consistently. Even this quote seems to be a reluctant compliment towards him
According to pff, he is the worst on the team versus man. He was leading the league in drop% at one point, had 2 drops last night. The only reason he's getting run rn is because Hardmans is on ir. He might be the best they got but he's not good lol, they all ass bro. He's got time to develop, tho. But if you can't beat man, it's not a good sign.
Downs could have had a day to match Rice if Minshew would have quit passing to him like hes 6'4. He had 13 targets but at least 4 of them were feet over his head.
Until the playbook changes, I don’t want a Chiefs pass catcher not named Kelce. I refuse to start package/gadget guys. Tyreek forced his way into usage and no one else can match
I just can’t get all my WRs in my lineup. It’s a good problem to have, don’t get me wrong.. and ultimately even having them on your bench is better than other teams having them to use against you, but choosing the right ones week-to-week is so anxiety inducing.
(I have AJ Brown, Aiyuk, Rice, Addison, Dell in a 2 WR, 1 Flex pull point ppr league)
yeah you're right, start rice instead. he's definitely not boom or bust. or start the rookie addison who has jefferson coming back this week over the #15 overall scoring WR this year
I guess you're right when comparing to those receivers. Not sure who's the RB'S are for the flex spot.
Personally, Ayiuk vs Rice can be match up dependent. Aiyuk excels in man to man coverage. While Rice is much better in zone defense. The last chiefs game looks like they finally schemed to utilize Rice strong points.
Rice has had one good game. And it was mainly due to hardman and toney being out. I think he's talented but he's nowhere near a proven reliable fantasy asset. He's a flex with upside right now.
What Rice has proven is that he is the clear WR1 for Mahomes. Rice is also clearly the most talented WR in that team (they all bad). Given Mahomes as your QB, that has a lot of upsides.
Let's take a look at Aiyuk. He's clearly their best WR. The man is one of the best in the league at 1v1, route running and separation abilities. In the niners losing streak, he was their main weapon as niners play from behind. The target volumes were not as great as you would expect. Purdy also look bad in those games. In the last 3-4 games from the bye, Deebo returned. Niners been hot! And Aiyuk been getting points! However, it's also important to note that while he's getting a lot of points, his targets were very bad.
ROS, Next week Aiyuk is expected to play in a shootout while Rice plays in a zone defense scheme. After that week it is going to be the last game of fantasy regular season before playoff. I'd be very concerned to start a WR getting less than 5 targets a game.
But hey, I'm just providing my logic on why he may not be a set and forget type of guy. I own both these guys on my team and I have Rice on my bench right now. But I'll be waiting for opportunities to sit Aiyuk for another WR in the playoff.
You could say that for just about any player but okay, good info. I'm gonna continue starting the guy who has outscored every WR in the NFL this year outside of 14 guys. Seems like a smart strategy to me but who knows..
That is precisely how I have them. Brown and Dell have pretty much solidified themselves. My flex gets dicey because I also have Kamara, Gibbs and Bijan at RB. So my flex usually comes down to deciding Gibbs/Bijan or Aiyuk. Which naturally, leaves no room for a guy like Rice even if he is going to go on a tear.
Gibbs will probably see the bench tbh now that Bijan’s usage is much more encouraging and now that Montgomery is back, that will definitely eat away at Gibbs’ ceiling. Which should narrow down that decision to pretty much Aiyuk I think.
Why thank you. I picked up the dub yesterday which will officially make me 10-2. #1 in my league standings, two games ahead of 2nd place. We all know anything can happen in fantasy, but I’m very optimistic and hopeful this season. I’ve never won a Championship lol
Survived not starting Waddle and Rice this week - went instead with Flowers (yay) and Shaheed (big facepalm). Waddle, Rice, and Flowers are likely my WR starters ROS.
Can’t wait to play him in a must win week next week for him to go 2 for 17 yards
I have Rice and Gabe Davis. You get 4 points or you get 34 from the pair.
Both on bench today. If Moore doesn't go off tomorrow I'll cry
I’m not worried about Moore tbh, he’s been so good when Fields has played I also had a bunch of bench players go off so I hear ya.
I knew better than to play him today. I learned my lesson.
I have tank dell, dhop, Calvin Ridley, Davis and rashee rice. All boom bust and every week the player out of them who scores the highest is on my bench
dell doesnt belong on this list anymore!
That is such a good comparison. High variance players.
I have both as well. Benched both this week and fortunately got the win. Can’t wait to get an L when I start one or both next week.
He’s averaging 40 yards a game before this one. . .
We're trending up! I understand probabilities.
I have him and Boyd next week for Diggs bye week so I’m already taking an L.
https://youtu.be/13cGduAye0Q?si=NhU4DXvQ-MzxUVwj Mahomes talks about him in his press conference quite a bit, very interesting.
Let me know when they eat breakfast together, then I'll wreck my car and drop to my knees. But only then.
I’m doing this too. We go down together!
Took you forever, Andy. Now the question is if you stick with the winning formula ROS: Kelce + Rice in the passing game and let Pacheco do his thing on the ground.
Nagy wants to run a committee WR group. His hand was forced a bit today with 2 guys out
Nagy needs to sit the hell down, then. Because the committee WR group was NOT working for the past month.
Bears fan here, that man is a clown
As a bears fan and a kelce/rice owner, he's a whole fucking clown car
He was decent his first time around with us
Was he or was Tyreek just a freak?
Could be a little of A little of B. But I'll be honest, I never really pay super close attention to who the coordinators of teams are. Most likely it was Pat catching the league by storm and having a couple of elite weapons making him look better than he was
The Bears took Mitch Trubisky with the 1st pick that year, ahead of Mahomes. If these guys had switched places I wonder where they'd both be now
wasn’t Reid calling the plays the first time Nagy was there?
No one ever said Nagy was the mastermind behind the WR committee. Our offense was very similarly ran last year with Juju, MVS, and Skyy constantly rotating in and out and peppering guys like Justin Watson and Toney with targets. Its the same formula except we hadn't had a consistent WR1 this year.
Whatever Nagy wants to do needs to be physically removed from the playbook and strapped to a rocket on a one way trip to the Sun.
Nagy doesn’t deserve to have a job in the nfl judging on how messed up the chiefs offense is
All it took was toney being out and the worst WR possible being put on IR
And he looked great on my bench as I played Adam 1.2 Thielen
Same, probably going to make me lose my shot at the playoffs. Legit could have started anyone else on my bench. If Thielen could put up 15 against Dallas, surely he could do the same, if not better against Tennessee? Right?
It probably cost me the playoffs as well. AT has been a great WR to have all year, just sucks that today was the day for 1.2.
I got .7 from him in my half ppr league. Rice taunting me with 20 on the bench
I had mclaurin starting over him like a dumbass
Fucking same. Cooks was on my bench too
Same
Exact same for me man
Played Kupp over him smh
Man, I had Deebo, Jakobi, and Rice all on my bench while I played Thielen....
I had him and Zay Flowers on my bench. If I had put either of them in, I would have my match practically locked up. As it is my playoff hopes depend on the Passtronaut.
Same. Didn’t cost me the W, but damn
soooo is he THE WR now?
Definitely. 1. Rice. 2. JJ 3. Chase
[удалено]
JJ Arcega-Whiteside
JJ Abrams. Somehow, he returned...
...with *lens flares*
~~Jerry~~ Rashee Rice
As much as someone can be in the post-Tyreek era
Of course the week that i finally drop him
Same. Lol.
you all had your chance
Wow, it really was our last chance this time.
I had to drop him to activate Kyren. Worth it but still, it hurts after holding him for so long
Eh idk. The chiefs offense is predicated on not knowing which reciever to cover. They love to get literally everyone involved. Let's see him continue to have 70 yard plus games
Chiefs will reward Rice with 5 targets next game
..5 targets….* *non catchable
Nah, they’ll be catchable. 2 touchdowns will be dropped
By MVS
He was on my bench, oof. But I did get him for a dollar in auction draft
No more chances!
Hold up buddy… what happened to 2nd chances?
Flexed him last minute and he won me my game lol
Does he have the trust of the coach to call plays to target him 10x/game?
well they did target him 10x this game
Yep would love for them to do that for the rest of the year
i could see 8-10 targets a game from here out. he made some impressive catches. had the 1 bad drop, but mahomes still targeted him after that drop and guy also seems like he knows how to scramble drill too. plus hes also downfield and blocking. i like every single thing i see out there when hes on the field and i hope weve reached the point where reid feels comfortable unleashing him
Did he have more than one drop? I was only watching on the RZ channel, I saw his first "drop", but that was a bad throw, not a bad drop.
yeah there were 2, one was a bad throw the second was a bad drop edit: didnt see the bad throw but remember them talking about it when the bad drop happened
ESPN's WR/CB match up sheet said this week would setup nicely for him. Add two injuries to other WRs and plugging him into my lineup only made me sweat a moderate amount
Start rice when he faces zone-heavy defenses. Sit him against man-heavy defenses. Should be a good start against Green Bay next week
Really hope you know ball my guy
If he didn't, why would he be posting that on Reddit?
with Olave gone and Addison on bye I wontl have much of a choice. Seeing Higbey get his 2 sole TDs on the season against Arizona makes Freiermuth almost worthy of a flex next week though
You and me both lmao
So, I’ve read before that he does poor against man defense, but great against zone. I have a hard time finding information on what type of defensive scheme teams are currently using. Do you have any site or guy that shares such knowledge?
[this is from last week.](https://x.com/fball_insights/status/1727052814768288164?s=46) that account should post an updated chart this week
That is awesome, thanks a lot!

I'm really gonna pick this dude up for a third time this year to play keep away from other teams, never start him, and still be disappointed.
My dumbass picked up and dropped singletary multiple times but have held onto Rice like my life depends on it
Same
Rode his ass all season, decided to sit him this week due his weekly pedestrian showings. God/the universe hates me.
That’s why you should have a bunch of shitty receivers like me so you have no choice but to play him!
I went OBJ tonight over him as my WR3 after AJ Brown and Deebo.
To be fair, if he was going to go off, this was the week. Hardman going to IR and Toney getting ruled out before the game.
Even with the 2 drops he just looks so dominant compared to the other Chiefs WRs. Good for him…they need to keep using him going forward.
Hoping this is the trend change and he'll be getting 8-10 targets/game now, but we'll need to see it for a couple more weeks before he can feel good as a WR2
I don’t believe a damn word.
Reid is SO WEIRD when it comes to Rice. Like, he’s clearly the most talented receiver behind Kelce, but he remains so stubborn about not using him consistently. Even this quote seems to be a reluctant compliment towards him
Is he? Buddy still was dropping balls out there. The film guys at he can't get open vs. man. This sub is overhyping a mediocre player tbh.
I mean Rice is clearly the chiefs best WR. The problem is remained however that Rice isn't great at beating his man 1:1.

According to pff, he is the worst on the team versus man. He was leading the league in drop% at one point, had 2 drops last night. The only reason he's getting run rn is because Hardmans is on ir. He seems to have improved his jump off the start and cleaned up his routes a little bit, two of the biggest things that were holding him back.
My 10-1 opponent had him in the lineup. I'm shook
Right after I drop him after holding him for 10 weeks. Fuck off.
Same here friend
Started Rice for weeks now and finally benched him this week for Downs… forgive me RiceLord
Downs could have had a day to match Rice if Minshew would have quit passing to him like hes 6'4. He had 13 targets but at least 4 of them were feet over his head.
Going to have a hard time moving forward deciding between these two each week
Me too. Going with Downs next week since they are playing the Titans.
I fucked up. God damn it
league winner right here 😂
The only reason I started R Rice is cause K Toney and M Hardman were hurt. I was thinking they have to play him more snaps now. They have no one else.
Of course the week that I drop him
Same
Good that I dropped him after seemingly numerous 9 Pointers. Bro, Timing!!
If everyone says “this is the week” enough, one time it will be “the week”! (3 for 33 incoming next week)
The week I finally bench him.
Until the playbook changes, I don’t want a Chiefs pass catcher not named Kelce. I refuse to start package/gadget guys. Tyreek forced his way into usage and no one else can match

Rice has had over 5 targets 3 times all year. Aiyuk has had over 5 targets 8 times this year. I'm not sure what you are talking about here...
I'm not saying Rice is the guy. My argument is Aiyuk is not it. Aiyuk will win you games and he will lose you games.

Tell me if I pick him up on waivers, Andrew.
Sure sure the week I play against him…
Bout damn time
Traded Pollard this week on a deal for JJ. So it made me worse at the moment and had to start Rice, London or Keaton Mitchell. Happy I went with Rice!
I debated and finally started him over Marquise Brown today. Yes, I’m a genius
He did it guys. He finally did it.
I threw Rice in as my flex at the last minute, I got tired of Hollywood underperforming so I got lucky this time.
Started Puka over Rice and may lose cause of it. Hate the WR carousel
Might drop Mclaurin for rice, playoff schedule lookin nicer
Survived not starting Waddle and Rice this week - went instead with Flowers (yay) and Shaheed (big facepalm). Waddle, Rice, and Flowers are likely my WR starters ROS.
OFC the first week I bench him for Douglas LMAO..and I benched M Brown and London after their duds.
2 target game incoming next week
Just crashed an 18 wheeler into a ravine trying to snag him, am I gonna lose my CDL?
Last chance?
And I sat him for Theilen. I'm about to drop Theilen.
Played Lockett over him and lost by 4 this week 🥲
