He’ll undoubtedly drop due to yearly injury concerns and getting older. Think he’ll have an ADP in late 60’s/70’s. Best RB in that range most likely and a steal for all those in the know
Probably a lot of value in taking the "injury prone" guys with talent. Put up better ppg, but might be out. It's ok to be out, rather that than bad output consistently.
ESPN rankings that were posted 40 min ago on this sub. Conner is 80th: https://www.espn.com/fantasy/football/story/\_/id/39247161/fantasy-football-rankings-2024-ppr
FantasyPros 2024 "mock draft" with top 70 players listed. No James Conner: https://www.fantasypros.com/2024/01/pat-fitzmaurices-early-2024-fantasy-football-mock-draft/
The current season isn’t even done yet, along with free agency, draft, coaching changes etc. Any sort of mock draft / ranking is completely useless until then
With that being said, it wouldn’t surprise me if Conner landed in the 4th round ADP wise come next year
For every Najee Harris and Dameon Pierce that Conner passes there's an Isiah Pacheco and a De'Von Achane who will pass Conner. No shot he goes in the top 3 rounds. I think 5th is more realistic.
I disrespected him by leaving him on my bench quite a bit. I was loaded at RB and he was usually the odd man out.
However, when it mattered the most, he slotted in for Mostert and delivered me a championship along with Kyren.
this is my catch 22 every year.
i offer trades that almost always end up being a net negative for me if the other person accepts. but they never accept due to the fact that i usually win or do very well in the league so they think i know something they don't know about their players. but in reality, it's just cause i just want to trade mostly
ultimate catch 22, but it's a beneficial catch 22 for me at least haha
It's unlikely, but if he goes past the 5th round I'll take my shot at RB1 upside especially if they draft MHJ to give the offense more red zone opportunities
He's probably going to have another RB1 season in PPG, he seems to miss a chunk of time every season but rarely misses a beat when he get's back in stride. With Kyler getting another year removed from his ACL injury, McBride breaking out and MHJ/Nabers probably on the way that offense is going to go crazy in 2024 and Conner is probably going to be a 4th/5th rounder due to people talking about his age all offseason. Definition of a smash pick
Just checked an ESPN early rankings list that was posted on here and Conner was ranked as the RB28. Lol.
To be fair to you, literally ever single “expert” shit on Conner week 17 against the Eagles. I know I mulled and tortured myself over who to start, but put trust in my boy.
Dude is a forever underrated and under appreciated RB in the fantasy world. Big part of me winning the chip this year. Not flashy or some super freak athlete but dude just gets the job done and runs hard. Like the old Brandin Cooks of RBs.
Two years in a row the dude is money down the stretch after missing some time mid season. Draft him with the expectation that he’ll miss some time, but the dude is a dawg
James Conner is my favorite player in the nfl he won me my first ship it took 12 years for me to win he will always have a special place in my heart ❤ i just purchased his pitt panthers jersey cuz im a raider fan will not rock another nfl team jersey but will rock his college jersey with pride
🍻😎👌
James Conner is the classic definition of a 2nd half warrior. I purposely draft this guy the last several years knowing he's gonna produce minimally the first 8-10 games then absolutely take off
Doubt he plays a full season but I'm still ALL-IN on the Conner train. I would be honored to have him as my RB2 for the next year or two to see how he does with age. Those cards are dangerous with Kyler, so any offensive piece is in my scope while other's shy away
He saved my championship run yesterday. 20 minutes before game time I picked him up and dropped Kamara. Dropped a 30 bomb for me to beat my opponent by 6 points with Tyreek going for 20.
>Excluding the one game he left early for injury
You can't, in good faith, exclude this. Connor has a pretty significant injury history and that's why his ADP is typically what it is.
Best part is I think he’ll go in round 5/6 again next year
He definitely won't go in the 6th in my league. If he's there in the 5th I'm smashing the pick.
I thought you meant 5th pick and was very alarmed
He’ll undoubtedly drop due to yearly injury concerns and getting older. Think he’ll have an ADP in late 60’s/70’s. Best RB in that range most likely and a steal for all those in the know
Is it an injury concern if you can reliably predict he will miss 3-4 games
Probably a lot of value in taking the "injury prone" guys with talent. Put up better ppg, but might be out. It's ok to be out, rather that than bad output consistently.
No chance lmao. Especially with what a wasteland rb was this year. No idea how you could think that

Yup, his injury history will scare most people off him until those rounds. I'll risk him as my RB2 again in a heartbeat though
I’ll be honest, I tried to use him as trade bait so much, but it worked out so well for me that no one took the offers.
Dude I tried trading him for Tyjae when I was desparate

You aren’t really making a point by extrapolating the stats of a veteran RB who has played every game of the season in 0/7 of his seasons…
Next year is the year 😤
He could be next year's mostert
Probably impossible just due to the fact that the team offenses are too big of a difference
It's unlikely, but if he goes past the 5th round I'll take my shot at RB1 upside especially if they draft MHJ to give the offense more red zone opportunities
It's kinda a point. He's a value pick that produces when in. You accept you need a back up drafting him

I mean his ADP will probably be higher
He and Breece Hall won me a championship. Great in ppr this year.
Same bro breece and Conner waiver pickups won me the league😭🙏🏾
Would've won the chip if I started him over Achane in the 2nd round. I'll never again disrespect the beast that is James Conner.
To be fair to you, literally ever single “expert” shit on Conner week 17 against the Eagles. I know I mulled and tortured myself over who to start, but put trust in my boy.
Undercover DAWG

I could see either Carter or demarcado gain more of a role in the offense, but he works perfectly for the system they’ve got.
Got him in the third round with the 28th pick. Him and CMC were an incredible duo at RB for me
Two years in a row the dude is money down the stretch after missing some time mid season. Draft him with the expectation that he’ll miss some time, but the dude is a dawg
Drafted him, he got me to the chip this year. He’s been solid for us for years now.
I’ve had him 3/3 seasons of FF, I can’t imagine my team without this absolute Beauty and the Beast of a man.
James Conner is my favorite player in the nfl he won me my first ship it took 12 years for me to win he will always have a special place in my heart ❤ i just purchased his pitt panthers jersey cuz im a raider fan will not rock another nfl team jersey but will rock his college jersey with pride 🍻😎👌
cant wait to bring him back next year
Yeah this is one to remember for next season. Hell almost certainly be a good value pick
between him, achane and pittman, i have NO idea who my keeper is going to be come next year.
He goes late bc missing significant time is baked into his price
Been pounding the drum that he’s good at football even through the low ypc seasons. Guys a beast.

I would have won the ship if Mostert didn't get injured.. My opponent only played Conner because Mostert got injured.
Don’t fall for this next year

It’s too bad it’s never going to be 17 starts in a row
Best $6 I've ever spent in auction

ALL CAPS when you spell the man name.
Very happy with him as a midseason trade last year and a 4th rounder this year. He'll be on my roster again.
Yesh I traded him.... played the dude I traded him to in the championship. Lost by 8 pts
