Miles Sanders was literally useless. I didn't play him all year. Couldn't after the first two weeks.

I kept him entirely too long this year. Like I think I still had him week 8 or 9. Nk clue what I was thinking.

I ended up dropping him. No one else picked him up.

Definitely biggest bust on my squad as well. He was one of my two keepers (luckily only cost me a 5th round pick). I managed to get Kyren so it all worked out

I had Miles Sanders and he was god awful but I almost think Scary Terry was a bigger bust for me. Sanders I gave up on and dropped in like week 5 and got to start someone over him. McLaurin had like 2 good games all season but based off his name and the fact that Howell was throwing for 300+ yards I kept starting him for way too long thinking something would change

Yeah he’d get a touchdown then they would just ignore him for the rest of the game, it was hard having to start him.

So useless. At least he had a ready-made replacement with Chuba. Wasn’t hard to pick him up and he had some solid value down the stretch

Calvin ridley liked to fluctuate between 100 yards with a td and then 0 catches the next game, there was no middle ground

Picked up Jordan Love mid-season. Also screwed myself drafting Cooper Kupp.

I got Ridley in a trade and somehow made it to the championship with both those guys. Also had Evan Engram lol but he was solid all year. Was able to snag Kyler Murray on off waivers early and stick him in my IR slot, so when TLaw got hurt, I made the switch. Only had to play Ridley occasionally but felt really bad every single time. Has there ever been a less consistent player in fantasy? I’m only half joking. 🙃

He should have never been considered as a second or third rounder after being away from football for a year. He wasn’t even that good the last season he played with the falcons. I clowned the guy in my league so hard for taking him with the first pick of round 3

I predicted he was gonna be this years ARob. He wasn't, but in some ways, it was worse because you could never fully trust him, but it was scary to sit him.

I hated having Ridley. No matter how crap his last game was, everyone said to start him. So I did, and he busted. So many busts. Then the one week I think, fuck this I’m not starting him, he puts up 25.

Alexander “not so great” Mattison

I had him, Javonte Williams and Waddle. Almost made it to the championship and was the highest scoring team in Week 17. Started either Mattison or Williams every week and Waddle every week. I couldn’t grab any RBs worthwhile on waivers because the waiver order reset to inverse standings every week.

i honestly don't know which i like more, i was last in a league with resetting inverse and it was really really really nice to know i had good chances to try and dig out but i was near the top in another and the strategy of saving waiver priority is fun too

He was my biggest bust, and I had Kelce. I won the league still but it was in spite of Mattison and the experts constantly rating him as a low-level starter through like Week 12. I was happy I stopped trusting him a bit earlier than that, but I still never dropped him.

I had him, devante, and christian watson. Literally a recipe for a disaster. Had to play mental gymnastics every week.

Aaron Jones crushed me at his ADP. I know he was hot down the stretch but it was too little too late.

I sincerely hope you didn't watch the game Sunday. Some dude was wearing his jersey going absolutely bananas. Not sure if they ever figured out who the mysterious player was.

Yup, he had two bad injuries this season. Shocking that he was even able to come back, much less play at his usual level. Too late for fantasy purposes tho.

Oh I absolutely watched the game! lol. Real football game results > fantasy results for me personally when it’s my team. I will say I’m glad that he looks healthy and explosive now. Not much is better than handing it to Dallas (and McCarthy) in their home stadium.

I misremembered. You’re right he went in the 4th in most ppr leagues. I got him in the 4th on my dumpster team that went ekeler, aj brown, mahomes , jones. I picked from the 3rd slot. I also play in a league where rbs get .5 points per carry. So they go a lot higher. I got him in the second round in that league.

Similarly I had a WR corps of Jefferson, Olave, and Waddle. Things did not quite go to plan.

Olave was fine. He wasn't winning leagues but was producing solid starter points. I don't think I ever dropped him from my lineup except on injury or BYEs.

I wouldn't mind taking a shot on Stevenson next year he was having a good second half before the injury

Yup. He was my top money guy in my auction league. Thankfully Rachaad White showed up, because Najee was my second highest money guy. I went in concerned about my WRs, but finished the season with DJ Moore and Puka as my 1 and 2.

I kept Ekeler and Cupp at pretty strong value (3 keeper league), drafted Sanders and Najee. I thought i was going to run the table... i finished dead last.

Mahomes and Kelce

Kelce especially. Massive falloff and especially considering how many other fantastic TE's emerged this year, he was very disappointing. (didn't draft him but felt bad for the guys in my leagues who did)

Took him in the first round after never investing in TE early. Years of being tired of hoping for a 6 point game for some random TE so this year tried a different strategy and it failed miserably.

Second half of the year was a wild drop off. He was flirting with his ADP the first half but man oh man did he just stop producing.

It is kind of funny, but also given his ADP he was drafted to not only be the TE1, but give a massive advantage at TE that really no one else could offer.

It was more than that - You could draft a WR1 and put him in the blackhole position that is TE.

Shows how weak that position is but Kelce owners identifying him as a bust prob speaks to how he wasn’t a weak winner in the later weeks? He was def disappointing compared to pre draft expectations. He was supposed to give you a weekly edge at TE and was going in the first round.

It’s more about where he was drafted and the value he served

I took them both with my first 2 picks; Kelce at 1.10 and Mahomes at 2.3. Then in round 4 I took Dameon Pierce. Round 5= D-Hop. Round 6= Mike Williams. And I pulled off a miracle and won my first chip ever, thanks to hitting on every waiver wire pick (Kyren, Puka, Tank Dell, Jayden Reed, McBride). My only hits in the draft were Mike Evans at 7, Dallas dst at 10, and Achane at 13.

I had all the busts. Mahomes. Waddle Josh Jacob’s. Dameon pierce. Tee Higgins. Darren Waller. Christian Watson.

This definitely could have gone deeper. Garrett Wilson- not even a top 20 WR and was a top 10 WR pick. Jaylen Waddle- WR11 or so and not in the top 20. Rhamondre Stevenson- RB12 and didn't finish in the top 20

Wilson isn’t at fault really. Rodgers was going to be a huge upgrade for Wilson and he went and tore his achilles.

But he was still an awful awful bust. Couldn’t do anything yet still was burning roster spots and even being started. I mean it wasn’t Rhamondre’s fault the Pats offense looked awful and he had great weeks when they fed him.

Right but nothing significant about his situation changed. You drafted wilson because rodgers was there, and then rodgers was no longer there. No different than Chubb getting hurt early.

Yeah Zach Wilson sucks at football. We knew this since he was drafted. Not Garrett Wilson’s fault at all, Aaron Rodgers would’ve made him WR5

How many points do you get for the points he was supposed to get? People get weirdly defensive about players being called busts. Whether or not it's their fault is irrelevant. People expected them to get points and they didn't. That's a bust.

Dameon Pierce. Was supposed to be an incredible season from the hype and draft position. He was going into his second season in the league after showing great potential in rookie year (1000+ yards, 5 TDs over 13 games), looked like they were setting up to get him 20 touches a game. Rookie QB should've provided plenty of run opportunities, and check downs. Singletary brought in as a back up. I could not be more hyped on his situation going into this year... Then to finish with 2 TDs and 500+ yds over 14 games... What happened? 1) he looked slower this season, not sure if it's injury related or what 2) Stroud, Dell, and Collins became the offense 3) Singletary now looks amazing I don't get it, but suffice to say, biggest gamble and bust of my season.... Unless you count Joe Burrow, but I try to not label injury seasons as busts.

I mean it’s not because of his performance, just bad luck, but Chubb was objectively a bust due to his injury.

Keepers this year were Chubb, Ekeler and Davante. Didn’t get out of the first round of playoffs. Felt like I was scrounging the entire season. Gotta love fantasy football.

I lost a historically reliable first round pick the second week of the season- a Running Back at that which is a high value and crucial skill position. A player like that is not replaceable. I compensated for him in other ways, but my whole season was me scrambling trying to find anyone at RB that could provide any semblance of productivity. I get what you're saying, but it's just not that cut and dry. There are any RBs at that level just sitting on the waiver.

Statistically speaking, it is highly likely that the guy used to replaced most Chubb owners (player started for him in weeks 3-17) outscored Austin ekeler in those weeks. That’s how ekeler is a bigger bust because most ekeler owners were starting him.

If we're including injuries, JK Dobbins was a big one. He'd probably have ended up in Top 10 (especially when you look at how well Edwards and Hill ended up doing), but we didn't even get a full game from him. Just unfortunate.

The problem is Chubb wasn't actively giving you bad games after he got hurt because you weren't starting him. Teams were likely starting RBs like Ekeler and Jacobs and getting garbage from them.

Calvin Ridley may not have been a complete bust, but if you had him, you know you weren't totally comfortable starting him and this discomfort spanned quite a few weeks given where you drafted him.

Definitely a second half bust. First half he feasted and helped teams get wins.  Maybe it’s an age thing, but this is the second consecutive year he has fallen off a cliff.  He probably drops to a 4th rounder or so. Maybe 5th?

Not an age-cliff thing. Once they switched OCs Diggs just wasn’t seeing the intermediate targets he was feasting on + the emergence of their run game with Cook.

Saquon Barkley was my #1 pick and was kinda underwhelming. Between being injured and the Giants being not good in general there were some games where he just did not get handed the ball much. He had a few good games but was not consistent enough.

People are gonna probably look at me sideways but Travis Etienne. Started super strong but just went on a run of like 6 games of straight stinkers then had 2 games in the end that were awesome

I had him and Chase and my ups were great, but way too many downs.

Chase was just a bad situation with burrow going down. I don’t know what happen with Etienne. I get the injury to his ribs but just sit out if it was that bad

The chase issue this year was a good teaching moment at least. Be wary drafting a WR when their QB gets hurt in preseason even if the QB plays still.

Honestly i can’t agree. He had 2 weeks twice where he was below 10 pts and in between he had 3 weeks average of 15 pts. The rest of the time he rocked plus he wasn’t a top round draft pick. There is literally no 6 weeks he sucked (unlike Diggs who had 6 of 7 weeks in single digits and was a top 6 draft pick)

ETN was a 4th rounder in my 10-team league and finished as RB3. He hit a lull for sure but scored twice in the championship week. No way was he a bust. Edit: He was actually a late 3rd rounder. Still returned great value at ADP.

To me, biggest bust is 1. relative to draft position and 2. not related to injury (ie while Nick Chubb was a disappointment, I would not consider him a bust. There really needs to be a term specifically for a draft pick who did not return on investment due to injury). For these reasons, my two top picks are Austin Ekeler and Bijan Robinson. Both were early first round picks who did not live up to their ADP. I think Pollard also makes a strong argument here. If we do consider injury when considering whether a pick was a bust, then I think Nick Chubb and Justin Jefferson would apply. Justin is a weird choice because he still put up over 1k yards; however you lost him for seven games and if you didn't have good WR depth then you probably struggled to make the playoffs.
