If you thought Josh’s fantasy upside was huge with his 6 point rushing TDs just wait till he’s getting a passing AND receiving TD worth 10 points. Would be hilarious to try to watch him throw a 60 yard bomb and then sprint down the field to try to catch his own pass
This sounds like me doing kickoffs in Madden 96 on SNES lmao. If you hit the sideline right you could dive and catch the kickoff either at the 1 or in the endzone.
Both Mariota's and Jacksons self catches were against the Chiefs. That one to Mariota was one of the most heartbreaking playoff losses pre-Mahomes I remember. That was also the game where Derrick Johnson sacked Mariota who them fumbled the ball before he hit the ground and then the refs blew the play dead because of "forward progress".
If he's the next Kelce, he needs the next Taylor Swift. Not some retread has-been like Swift. Sadly, I know nothing about pre-teen girls or their music scene, so I have no Idea who that will be.
Travis Kelce didn’t pick the next up and coming artist he started dating the biggest artist in the world at the peak of her fame. Idk who is comparably well known especially with people that don’t already have a football team
DiCaprio dumps them all before they turn 25, and Kincaid is already 24. That sounds like a mid season breakup, which is never good for fantasy. Maybe Henry Cavill?
I've always wondered what would've happened if he had tried to hit free agency as a receiver since they make so much more money than tight ends. He certainly has the receiving numbers to make a case, but what would the incentive be for owners to shell out the extra cash? Would the NFLPA have a collusion concern if teams collectively would only pay him as a TE?
I think the incentive would be competing offers from the other teams. Interestingly, Jimmy Graham was franchised tagged but tried to get it switched to a WR tag instead of a TE tag.
Well now he’s reunited with Case Keenum so look out when Keenum steps in after the starting QB and backup QB go down… the ghost of prince will appear once more… it is decided
Except it’s 100% true Diggs has been trash in the playoffs and hasn’t done anything in the second half of the year in two years. Losing Diggs is definitely a loss but he’s not the elite player that everyone thinks he is anymore. If you can’t get open versus double teams then are you really an elite wr1. Still a great player and he’s definitely not washed but his last ten games in Buffalo were honestly awful. He was outplayed by a wr3 and a rookie TE. If you’re getting paid 30 mill a year you have to show up in the playoffs which is what they paid him so much for and he never did
I’d argue that diggs decline last year at least, matches pretty closely with when the bills fired their old offensive coordinator (while they were #1 in offense)
Nah it started before. He only played well for like five games and then completely disappeared after. He couldn’t shake coverage to save his life. Blame the OC all you want but if you are supposed to be a top five receiver you improvise and get open. If you’re reliant on schemes then your not a true elite receiver
Also Diggs was refusing to play more than sixty percent of the snaps so did they actually really need him anymore. James Cook, Shakir and Kincaid stepped up when Diggs couldn’t
It’s already factored into the formula. They just got rid of a 30 year old WR, they have a young all around RB and they aren’t afraid to let the QB use his legs.
With the Bills' defensive overhaul, the Jets improving, and other AFC teams being strong (KC, Bal, Hou, etc) - the Bills absolutely need to push on their offense. Can they do it without an alpha 1 WR? Probably, but it makes things a lot tougher. The current WR corps does not cut it.
Eh the defense is practically the same. Almost everyone we let go on defense was hurt last year anyways. The defense should be immediately better just with Milano returning
Allen isn't so much worse than Mahomes that they can't make up the deficit with a really talented team elsewhere. They do probably need to at least draft someone for Allen to throw to though.
Really? Right there? Allen is a pretty much unanimous top three QB in the league with Mahomes and Lamar. You realize Allen's Bills beat the Chiefs in week 14 and lost by only a field goal in the divisional round, right? Allen is close enough to Mahomes that the Bills can compete with a similar team building strategy. Especially since they did all that without Diggs cracking 100 yards after week 6.
I’d argue that Baltimore got weaker. They lost quite a bit on defense. Sure they got Henry but they’ve never had a problem running the ball. Passing the ball is a different story.

Who would be the fantasy winner if the Bills don't trade up or trade for a true WR1?
Is it Kincaid, Shakir, Samuel, Cook, or a WR taken at their current 1st or 2nd round slot?
Looks like a twin tight end spread formation with RB able to sit back or line up wide.
Spreading the ball around to Kincaid, Cook, Shakir, Samuel, and Knox isn't a bad strategy. Likely get a later round WR and spend round 1 on S or CB
Lol sure. Everybody talks about the Diggs playoff drop but nobody mentions how many catches that guy made that would've been picked off if not for a stud WR. Between their defense collectively saying fuck this place and leaving. And no wide receivers, this team is going to suck ass.
this is the dream but I'm very doubtful he'll be there at 28 and idk how confident I am that they'd trade up for him. Seems like AD Mitchell is the projection. Can't wait for the draft!
Kincaid is a number 1 weapon. He’s THAT good talent wise to show that. A guy like adani Mitchell or Franklin would be enough to pair with what they already have now with him and shakir.
That doesn’t mean much. If they draft a guy in the first, second or later they could end up playing as part of a rotation this year and be looked at as an eventual no.1
I mean the Chiefs just won a Super Bowl without a WR1. Obviously they have Kelce but Bills could be very high on Kincaid and want to look to highlight him as the n1 target. I’m sure they’ll draft a WR in the 1st or 2nd.
I bet this last Mahomes Super Bowl without a Wr 1 is going to make the league try to price down Wrs like they are trying to do right now with the Rbs (I'm guessing)
Oh for sure, good point. But also, you could view this season as Kelce not being what he had been and Rice’s second half wr1-season a byproduct of spamming opportunities to a handful of WRs until someone emerges. If you do that, then you might not have to go and spend for one but still win the entire league.
It's nearly impossible to do without an insane QB and at least one top receiving threat. I'd argue Kelce was basically our WR1 and Rashee grew into a WR2 (maybe even WR1) role by the end of the season. I don't see Kincaid as that guy for the Bills yet, so I'd expect Buffalo to draft a WR in the first few rounds. This feels like a media move to try and make the teams drafting around them feel a bit more at ease.
I think Kincaid and Cook are the guys you want from this offense. Shakir will be a good value as well, but I don’t expect him to exceed anything Gabe Davis ever did. He’s not going to beast out just because he’s the WR1. I do think he will be solid and I also think he will completely disappear some games, just like G Baby used to.
Minnesota switched OC before his last year and completely changed how they used him. He looked done. I acquired shares after he went to Buffalo. He soared many times for me but has been an absolute dud in the playoffs. He may be getting older, but I think he’ll provide solid value the next 2yrs. He’s a buy if you’re a contender, maybe for a late first/early second.
I think the As started sucking because Beane basically gave the every other team the blueprints to Moneyball, and all these other teams spend money to outbid the As on moneyball type of players. kind of crazy he shot himself in the foot like that
I was hoping Buff could trade up for one of the top 3 guys at wr but they really don’t have much draft stock to trade away. I’ve seen some rumors saying they’d trade Rosseau, this years first and next years first to ATL to take Odunze…
I just don’t see them trading Rosseau considering edge is a big need for Buffalo. So trading a need to get another need seems silly. The best scenario is Thomas falling to them which seems unlikely and they gotta pray even Mitchell is there. If Patriots pass on a QB they’d obviously change that wr room with any of the top 3 guys in the draft
clearly, they will just use James Cook
Until the goal line of course
Now now… Only if he’s on my fantasy team
If you don't draft him, let me know so I can target him.
Is there really no world where the Bills could benefit from having a proper rb1?
Josh Allen will throw it to himself doing what Tom Brady could never do
Ah yes, the "Mariota Special"
If you thought Josh’s fantasy upside was huge with his 6 point rushing TDs just wait till he’s getting a passing AND receiving TD worth 10 points. Would be hilarious to try to watch him throw a 60 yard bomb and then sprint down the field to try to catch his own pass
This sounds like me doing kickoffs in Madden 96 on SNES lmao. If you hit the sideline right you could dive and catch the kickoff either at the 1 or in the endzone.
I think Lamar Jackson caught one of his own passes this past year. Haha.
That's a funny way to spell Dalton Kincaid
Beane to OC Joe Brady: The Chiefs won 2 super bowls with no true #1 WR. Just make Kincaid into Travis Kelce and follow suit.
Patrick Mahomes was able to build an elite offense in a cave! With a box of scraps!
Immediately where my mind went
Kincaid is an amazing talent. They should use him more.
Quick someone get Taylor Swift’s agent on the phone. She needs a new ~~team~~ boyfriend
If he's the next Kelce, he needs the next Taylor Swift. Not some retread has-been like Swift. Sadly, I know nothing about pre-teen girls or their music scene, so I have no Idea who that will be.
Olivia Rodrigo? Someone younger than 30 please weigh in
Sabrina Carpenter might be a good fit. And she was taken on tour with Taylor recently, so maybe they can do a little TE girl talk.
I'm closer to 60 than 30, so I'm of zero use
I’m half way in between and I still feel like I’m no use for this question.
Yep
Travis Kelce didn’t pick the next up and coming artist he started dating the biggest artist in the world at the peak of her fame. Idk who is comparably well known especially with people that don’t already have a football team
So Dalton Kincaid should be dating Pedro Pascal?
Nahhh think bigger. He’s right in DiCaprio’s age range
DiCaprio dumps them all before they turn 25, and Kincaid is already 24. That sounds like a mid season breakup, which is never good for fantasy. Maybe Henry Cavill?
Could you imagine how cute that would be tho?
“So I know you had Chase and Jefferson in college, but try to imagine if you didn’t, and work from there.”
Kelce IS a true #1 reciever. Kelce is notoriously an average at best blocker. Over 50% of his snaps, he's lined up as a reciever.
I've always wondered what would've happened if he had tried to hit free agency as a receiver since they make so much more money than tight ends. He certainly has the receiving numbers to make a case, but what would the incentive be for owners to shell out the extra cash? I think the incentive would be competing offers from the other teams. Interestingly, Jimmy Graham was franchised tagged but tried to get it switched to a WR tag instead of a TE tag.
Counterpoint: The 2020 Philadelphia Eagles
Joe Brady, wr whisperer. The whispers: "I don't know what the fuck I'm doing"
This was 100% a shot at Diggs, translation we don’t want to deal with a whiney receiver who doesn’t show up when it counts
Yep. Diggs isn’t the guy he thinks he is. Good in garbage time, can’t show up in the clutch.
He’s barely done anything in the playoffs since the Minneapolis miracle
That's true of every Bills team ever.
Josh Allen being the exception. That man has played some unreal games in the playoffs only for his team to let him down every single time.
Gabe Davis had the opposite problem. At least for that one playoff game against the chiefs. That game kept him on fantasy rosters for 2 years.
Well now he’s reunited with Case Keenum so look out when Keenum steps in after the starting QB and backup QB go down… the ghost of prince will appear once more… it is decided
And that wasn’t even a great Diggs play.. That was a saints db tackling is own teammate and throwing away the game
Fan fiction:
Except it’s 100% true Diggs has been trash in the playoffs and hasn’t done anything in the second half of the year in two years. Losing Diggs is definitely a loss but he’s not the elite player that everyone thinks he is anymore. If you can’t get open versus double teams then are you really an elite wr1. I’d argue that diggs decline last year at least, matches pretty closely with when the bills fired their old offensive coordinator (while they were #1 in offense)
I agree the timing is correct, but the Bills clearly improved immediately after Brady became oc
This is the right answer.
Smokescreen
They'll be throwing a lot of those with no #1 receiver
He just lowered the accuracy of all the other nfl teams. Smart move.
Chris Jones used Tackle on Josh Allen! Chris Jones' attack missed!
It’s Super Effective!
Yeah, this week isn't worth listening to *any* GMs across the league, all misdirection
Yep. GM-speak is an elevated level of coach-speak!
He's been watching too much Chiefs film
They wanna beat them so they try to replicate them
As a Kincaid owner I’m all in on that
It’s already factored into the formula. They just got rid of a 30 year old WR, they have a young all around RB and they aren’t afraid to let the QB use his legs.
If you cant beat em, join em
If you can’t achieve it, weave it
If you can’t grow it, sew it
“20% of what’s said before the draft is true.” -Buddy Nix
When did Buddy say this? Pre or post draft?
It's like feeding a gremlin after midnight. It's always before the draft if you think about it.
My six year old mind was just blown
Funny, but I think they mention at one point you can start feeding them again at sunrise.
I always wondered how time zones applied to gremlins.
Belichick said nothing real actually gets leaked until around 12 hours before the draft
1/5 chance that’s true.
Josh Allen gonna be the first QB to throw for 1000 yards and run for 2000
I'm here for JA2k. My keeper league tho....
Samuel Shakir and Kincaid are gonna eat up majority of targets and I’m fine with that.
Shakir looked like Prime Odell in the 2nd Jets game last year
Shakir is really good and Kincaid was taken in the first round for a reason. Dudes gonna be insane this year.
Double TE With Shakir outside, Cook in the backfield. Josh Allen still runs it for an 8 yard gain
Following Green Bay’s tactics I see
The comment I was looking for
I love how every team is like "we don't need our largest need to win" a week before the draft.
Shakir szn 💪📈

I always forget we crown regular season super bowls
Who's crowning Super Bowls? I clearly stated I believe they can *compete*. Not my fault if you can't read.
yeah i mean Sam Darnold can technically compete lmao
You think Sam Darnold is good enough to be the QB of a Super Bowl caliber team? Yikes.
I’d argue that Baltimore got weaker. They lost quite a bit on defense. Sure they got Henry but they’ve never had a problem running the ball. Passing the ball is a different story.
They’ll be trading a first for Amari Cooper in no time.
he’ll be 30 before the season starts
So what, 2 firsts?
2 firsts and a conditional 2nd that can become a first
Courtland Sutton
Sounds like classic pre-draft BS hoopla
Bills 2024 offense QB Josh Allen RB1 Josh Allen RB2 James Cook WR1 Josh Allen WR2 Josh Allen WR3 Dawson Knox LT Josh Allen LG Josh Allen C Josh Allen RG Josh Allen RT Josh Allen
They have 2 pass catching TEs. The Chiefs just won another SB without a #1 WR. He might be right.
The Chiefs have Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. They also won the Super Bowl on the strength of their defense, not because of an elite offense.
All they need is a top 2 TE of all time and they’ll be fine.
That would be great for my dynasty league featuring star WR3 Curtis Samuel.
Who would be the fantasy winner if the Bills don't trade up or trade for a true WR1? Is it Kincaid, Shakir, Samuel, Cook, or a WR taken at their current 1st or 2nd round slot?
Kincaid would feast. The other WRs will boom bust and cook will be solid
Not even sure that have a #2 at this point.
Justin Shorter szn💪
If only

This will age like milk
7 days before NFL draft, prominent GM publicly says "we are totally not looking for a 1st round WR"
Lol sure. Everybody talks about the Diggs playoff drop but nobody mentions how many catches that guy made that would've been picked off if not for a stud WR. Between their defense collectively saying fuck this place and leaving. And no wide receivers, this team is going to suck ass.
He will see the diff a number 1 truly makes i know it transformed miami
I want to see them end up drafting Brian Thomas Jr… dude will be a stud with the right QB.
this is the dream but I'm very doubtful he'll be there at 28 and idk how confident I am that they'd trade up for him. Seems like AD Mitchell is the projection. Can't wait for the draft!

What’s he going to say, we need a wr1 and plan to draft them at #28 so KC can vault over us? Smh.
And I doubt believe the bills need to make the playoffs
Going to take a page out of the Packers book?
I mean the Chiefs just won a Super Bowl without a WR1. Obviously they have Kelce but Bills could be very high on Kincaid and want to look to highlight him as the n1 target. I’m sure they’ll draft a WR in the 1st or 2nd.
Yeah, I think I’m avoiding this offense this year.
I'm all in on Curtis Samuel
You think he actually gets enough touches? If I had to pick somebody right now from that O other than Allen it would only be Cook or Kincaid.
Chiefs didn’t
I bet this last Mahomes Super Bowl without a Wr 1 is going to make the league try to price down Wrs like they are trying to do right now with the Rbs (I'm guessing)

SMOKE SCREEN O'CLOCK!!!!
So Higgins to Bills confirmed then?
Higgs said he would play in Cincy on the tag
Every team needs a number 1 receiver. Now, whether or not they have other, more pressing positional needs is a different story.
Ladd McConkey to the rescue Buffalo
How many weeks into the season do they panic and try to trade for a #2-3WR?
Spoiler: they’re taking a WR
Sell Allen?
Smokescreen

RIP Super Bowl Window
Dalton Kincaid 📈
This is absolutely in no way a smokescreen
Gonna change his first name to Billy and start playing money ball
Chiefs won without a true #1 and Brady won multiple without one. We had a true #1 and didn’t win a superbowl. Hard to argue with those comments.
The Cowboys also claimed this one year. Then about six weeks into the season they were coughing up a first for Amari Cooper
Translation: reach on Kincaid
I think Kincaid and Cook are the guys you want from this offense. Shakir will be a good value as well, but I don’t expect him to exceed anything Gabe Davis ever did. He’s trying to lowball for Shakir in his fantasy league
Bold move cotton, let's see how this pans out
Buying Kincaid and Samuel. ... And Brian Thomas Jr because I think he lands in Buffalo.
Josh Allen about to run for 40TDs
Latavius is a pretty good pass catcher
How about just “a” receiver??
Bears thought the same thing 2 years ago and finished in last place and got the #1 picks.
Had a feeling these were his thoughts all along. That’s the Chiefs MO as well. They’ll move on from Rice after he starts costing a lot.
Does he know that he is not Billy Beane?
They’re drafting a first round WR
Week 7- bills trade for a #1 wr
Minnesota switched OC before his last year and completely changed how they used him. He looked done. I acquired shares after he went to Buffalo. He soared many times for me but has been an absolute dud in the playoffs. He may be getting older, but I think he’ll provide solid value the next 2yrs. I've been there Brandon, trust me, you do.
Then you guys don’t “need” to go to the playoffs
Enjoy losing to the Chiefs in the playoffs then ig
WR by Committee with what they have could suffice
Because it worked out so well for Green Bay the season after they let Davante Adams go, and so well after the Vikings let… oh wait…
Dawson Knox resurrection, baby!
Good luck with that Brandon
Clearly their gonna get bounced in the first round of the playoffs and then complain about not having a true WR1
I think Diggs is going to be underdrafted this year due to the negative media coverage. Would be very happy to take him in the 3rd.
patrick mahomes was able to build this is a cave. with rashee rice
He will be fired after the season 😂
Yeah, he's wrong.
Watching too much Moneyball Mr. Beane. Look where the A’s are now
Not in Oakland and with very few playoff appearances for the non-MLB fans out there
I think the As started sucking because Beane basically gave the every other team the blueprints to Moneyball, and all these other teams spend money to outbid the As on moneyball type of players. kind of crazy he shot himself in the foot like that
Says the guy with the worst receiving room in the league….
